With my new G4, I have to think about multiple SMS, Whats App and WeChat that originally on two phones. Is it possible to have multiple ones on G4 so I can forget my other phone at all? You advice is appreciated for my new comer!

On my gf's G3, Viber texts will show in the stock messaging app but not in Hangouts (even when Hangouts is set as the default messaging app). Any way to fix this?
Also, I rooted it and froze most of the of the AT&T bloatware that came on it and now her contacts don't show names (just phone numbers). Any idea which one might be responsible for this? I tried unfreezing AT&T Address Book but it's still the same thing.
Hi,
There is no way to integrate Viber into Hangouts. You can enable the Free reply with Viber option, but that only applies to regular network SMS messages.

I ended up getting a really well priced F400S that was barely used. I'm in the UK and am using it on EE and it seems to be working fine.
One issue I've come up against is the character limit on SMS messages. It seems to be fixed at 160 characters and I can't find anywhere to change it. Other phones I've had have a limit of 6 - 10 messages which obviously consists of several hundred characters, this is only allowing me to send 1 message before it converts it into an MMS message - which are not free to send in the UK.
I can get around this temporarily by using Hangouts but I'd rather not to be honest as I don't like the GUI fpr SMS messages, and I'd prefer to keep my SMS messages separate from my Hangouts messages.
Does anyone know of a workaround or a fix for this please? If such a thing exists, I'd rather continue using the stock SMS app without rooting my phone - my banking software doesn't work once rooted.
Also, can anyone recommend a UK Rom that I can use on the F400S? I've had the device for a couple of days so I've not had a chance to properly play yet but I have heard things about hidden menus and various other benefits to the F400S stock rom - although I'm not fully sure what they are yet.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
For the past week I have had issues trying to send my sister a text message. It has come to my attention that when I sent her a text message it for some reason gets sent to my nephew who participated in a separate text message that consisted of more than one party; In other words a group text message.
I have found LG Mobile on Facebook and informed them of this:
I solved the issue with the text messaging application bug. It is a bug in fact.
When the LG G5 has multiple group text messages with individuals, who you also try to have an individual text message conversation with, the phone will default a newly-created non-group message back to a/or one of the many group text messages that already exists with the person or other persons you're trying or NOT trying to communicate with individually.. I had to delete all group messages with the other party and then the phone stopped sending individual messages to a group message that they previously belonged to. This needs to be reported to your LG or Google development team as soon as possible. I am quite sure other people will have the same issue.
Interesting. I dont send alot of group messages from the G5. I will keep my eye on this.
BTW, while you have them fixing that...tell them to re-add the ability to have individual themes in our stock message app. I like having different backgorunds per contact
Any update on this ?
HAs anyone had the issue where contact names don't show in messaging, only numbers? I've had the phone almost 2 weeks and it's happened several times.

Nope. Mine still crashes now and then. Especially after using the voice to text feature.
Who knows maybe I have a bad LG keyboard system app. I'm going to root my phone soon and consequently have to reflash an entire rooted ROM so hopefully the new rooted ROM will have a better version will see.
UPDATE
My wife and I both updated our G5s to ROM v10d and so far the keyboard crashing has disappeared.
I have Samsung galaxy S2 upgraded to 4.1.2 … Tests here apply to my machine, but you can be sure, they can be repeated on a lot of other phones. I can not be sure on which one.
When you have several SMS apps, if you sent SMS by one app, randomly one of the other apps sent same SMS again. Each app sent once… but phone sent in double, so network operator charge in double.
In table bellow in red I mark, where this issue is very likely. Example: You sent SMS with the stock ‘messaging’ app… then … these apps will potentially try to sent the SMS too… zero sms, chomp sms, go sms pro, kk sms, easy sms, messenger.
(The image will be added in some different time.)
It is likely, in different times, different programs to be activated. On more modern phones, downgraded to older android, it will be no odd; single SMS to be sent in triple, four times or more.
Usually, if you have bystander apps what sent SMS, they can try to be in service for you and turn on your 2G by themselves and promptly do them job. They no care if SMS created in other app. They just want to be in service to you. This is serious bug in most SMS apps, I know how to fix it, but let SMS apps developers contact me for details.
I notice odd cases. Here described.
Textra mark messages by other programs like sent. But they are not sent. The message sent by textra is invincible to other programs, before sent.
Inside the chomp program, messages sent over chomp are well… but other SMS apps see these messages like sent by the receiver. Some apps detect these messages like not sent, and it is unclear how they’ll send them. This research, I do it without to send SMS, because it is difficult to hunt this problem down to minimal details. Each time, different apps are activated. We are in multitask environment.
Go SMS pro import spam in the conversations. Textra filter this spam in separate conversation.
Next SMS is jealous. It do not love SMS composed in competition app. But SMS by Next are well accepted by these other apps. And they kindly can try to be in service.
Other apps see messages composed in Messenger like already sent.
Resume. SMS apps are not well designed to work cooperatively each with another.
Solution. Chose your favorite SMS app, only disable the stock SMS app, and leave single active SMS app in the phone.
Do you know better way to upgrade SMS functionality compared to replace the stock app with other one? ( Example: how to replace it with two apps? ) Let me know, in reply to this post.
Just now, chomp complained with special notification to me that it wasn’t able to sent the SMS composed in five other programs. All doubts are definitely gone. Once again: SMS apps are very friendly, industrious in care for your job, they do it in double. You compose in one… SMS sent by other, etc…
I'm running stock Oreo 8.0.0 on Samsung S9 using the bundled texting app.
When I receive group texts from an iPhone user, I only see myself as a recipient; the other recipients aren't listed.
Also when I reply to what I happen to know is a group text, my reply only goes to the sender rather than to the group members.
Is there a setting I'm missing or do I need to use a different text messaging app?
I use the default messaging app on my stock S9 (VZW) and I don't have this problem. Half my family use Android-based phones and the others use iPhones. Our group conversation work just fine. However, all of the group conversation I am involved in include people already in my contacts. I'm wondering if your missing recipients is related to who is in your contacts?

Nope, the problem shows up even with those in my contact list.
Maybe I'll try a random texting app and see what happens.
Other apps exhibit the same problem. Anyone have any insight into this problem?
