Ok I just encrypted my N1... the problem is that I can't see the keyboard when I should type the password. I think it is because I've disabled google keyboard 'cause as we all know it doesn't work after rooting. I've been using the swift keyboard. Is my N1 totally bricked now or can I somehow unlock it. I don't have any backups so I wouldn't like to reflash whole thingy (if it's even possible) but if it's the only way I shall do it. Help my xda gods, your my only hope

Maybe. But how can I fix that...
Factory reset: In cwm/trwp recovery, wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache. Try it.

This is freaking chinese Nokia N1. There's no custom recoveries for this as far as I know. And I guess can't do that with fast boot either because I don't had usb debugging on. Fml

Ok I was able to get it on recovery with fast boot and then I tried that. Didn't work, the encryption is still there and I don't have a keyboard
I've been doing some research, and I really don't know what to do. All I know to say is your poor tablet may be useless.
---------- Post added at 08:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:04 AM ----------
Tip: Stay away from Nokia! If u might be considering buying another cheap tablet, buy Samsung or something. Nokia devices don't really have support for custom ROMs/ recoverys.
SOLVED
I successfully just gave a life to my tablet again. With fast boot I just ran the command "fastboot erase userdata" and then rebooted. That's pretty much it. It wasn't so hard after all

Not really... Some ROMs actually restore your wallpaper when you sign in to Play Store. My old Sony Xperia did it every time I reflashed.

Still getting stuck on the LG logo on bootup after flashing the rom. I wiped data, caches, from within CWM. It just won't boot. Unsure what I am doing wrong here. The instructions are pretty simple.
Been using this for about 10 mins. This thing is incredibly smooth!!!!!!
I just tried the oldway of flashing this.. Being I am stuck in CWM on my phone from yesterday.
Downloaded and than pasted on SD card put it back in the phone pulled the batery. Then I flashed it twice, rebooted and still in CWM yet it said installed on the bottom of the screen I got the Install Completed.
I have NO clue what is up ... Can't return it wih CMW sitting on it for sure...

Does this include the bootloader? If not, have you tried it on a device still running GB?
I think the ICS kernel might depend on something the new bootloader does, but I'd like to confirm/refute that. Anyone?

It should work in gingerbread. Bdon and I were experimenting with inception and I flashed this zip back to ics.

Your best bet is to flash that mod twrp. If it fails,I suggest u flash that ruu

What I mean is...flash that recovery then reflash your ROM. If u still get reboots, just flash that ruu...I don't think a certain recovery will interfere with flashing an ruu

can someone help me i cant boot into recovery, and apps are still FCing.
Symptoms:
-Unable to boot into recovery/bootloader
-Force closes system app or installed apps
-Stored settings changes on reboots
-Random reboots while phone is idle
-Constant reboots while restarting it and doesn't know when it will boot normally.
All above mention symptoms are related to HARDWARE FAILURE! Bare in mind that not all of them you'll see it on your device. But any of one you face, will might probably having chance of hardware failure.
You or here on xda users can't resolve your issue. So don't try anything from now on wards. Use it as is. Or sell it and move to another device.
Unless you have some local cheap repair shops where they might evaluate the issue then fix it that way, rather than calling into HTC service center.
And i forgot to mention, you probably have question in mind, How i know? My device is dying too. It reboots constantly before it boots normally, though it works fine. So symptom may vary device to device but cause is the same.

I told you. Run the 3.20 ruu. It might help.
During clearing cache using stock recovery. Not the usual clearing cache it takes 5 mins so i think i need to reboot it by press and holding the power button. When i start my phone, after the boot logo, instead of the usual loading screen, sleeping andriod logo appeared and i stuck on it.
Please help me. Any suggestion and recommendation is highly appreciated. TIA.

it says <waiting for the device>
I did the exact same thing not realizing it can take up to 15 minutes for the cache to clear. What I did to recover was boot into fastboot. Get my PC to recognized my phone. The ran the fast boot tool from the command line. From there I fixed my cache partition by running the fastboot erase cache command. After that I downloaded the stock recovery for the latest build then flashed that. After that I was then able to boot into adb mode from stock recovery. Then I downloaded the factory image of the latest build for my model of phone from Asus website it was around 1gb. From there I placed it into my adb directory and ran the adb sideload nameOfImage.zip and that side loaded the image back onto my phone fully recovering it. And nothing was last everything remained intact. I did not need to do a full wipe or anything and I was back up and running.
