Hello,

Does this include the bootloader? If not, have you tried it on a device still running GB?
I think the ICS kernel might depend on something the new bootloader does, but I'd like to confirm/refute that. Anyone?

Did you come from Gingerbread or ICS? I flashed it just fine from stock. I formatted system though also from mounts-storage
It should work in gingerbread. Bdon and I were experimenting with inception and I flashed this zip back to ics.

I downloaded the rom via LG Support Tool yesterday. I was looking to do so because the leaked ICS rom would restart on me multiple times daily so I could not install ROM manager and flash the rooted version of the official rom. Tried all available rooting tools including Matt's method, Superoneclick, UnlockRoot, and TPSparky. Can someone help me?
Best way, that i choose is install CWM ROM from HO!NO! You need to go though unbricking guide. You can flash leaked firmware from .exe, then root and flash stock GB images. On 10f you can install CWM, then flash rooted 20c.

The only problem is that the leaked rom is unstable and sometimes takes 10 times of it restarting before it lets me get the device on.

To clarify, to use HoNo's CWM-flashable version of the official ICS (not the leak), you have to have installed the leak, then unbricked to GB, rooted, and installed CWM. If you haven't flashed the leak, you will boot loop trying to install HONO's CWM version of the new official/stock ICS.

@mattman86,
It's not installing the ICS leak that does the trick, it's going through the unbricking guide, which you've definitely done because you basically created your own revision lol.

It didn't work. I have the Transformer Prime and I started with the premise that the Transformer Prime root techniques worked on ICS Leak, so I thought maybe voodoo root keeper would work when upgrading to the official release, but no dice. The upgrade wipes everything clean except the data on the SD card.
I had to run the unbrick procedure.
So there is no way to properly install Clockworkmod from the leak? I've tried to and it gives me this message at boot, "secure booting error! Cause: boot certification verify".

Finally have rooted V20c!!!! I still haven't been able to install clockworkmod so what I did was brianlil's method. Once I rooted V18f via TPSparkRoot and let the phone reset itself 30-40 times (for some reason V18f is notorious for that on my phone. Caused me to ship it back to LG twice). Then I put the image files brianlil provided on SD card and flashed using adb. Turned phone offf, removed battery, factory reset, and voila, rooted LG Nitro HD 4.0.4!!

Hi guys, good morning.
I have a rooted HTC One X which was running good.
Today I installed an app for changing the font style. Then I arrived in a japanese/chinese characters, which I couldn't go back to the backup set by the own app.
I searched for the original font and I found this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770479
I downloaded it and flashed it but now the phone won't load.
It sucks at the second screen of the booting process, with HTC One TM and beatsaudio logo underneath.
Then I went trying for a factory reset but still not working.
How should I proceed?
Thanks.

I found a ViperX 2.6.0. But I'm wandering if I can flash it, because my HBOOT is 1.12, and I supposedly can't use Jelly Bean.
I also can't mount my sdcard through ClockworkMod v.5.8.2.7.
What do you mean by doing it fast? Can't I charge it anymore?
You need to flash latest cwm. Check the thread in development section.
Viper is ics based so yes you can flash that rom.

Yes, unfortunately it's true. I didn't think about it before coz I hadn't needed/wanted to my Rom.
But I really would like to upgrade to JB, but I really don't know how to upgrade the HBOOT. I've seen quite a few of posts about it but still don't know exactly the steps.
The cause of this topic and my problem was a few apps for changing the font style. So, I'd like to show it to future users to be extremely careful with these apps: "Fontomizer SP(Font for Galaxy)" and "Font Installer ★ Root ★".
Do:
fastboot oem readcid
And
fastboot getvar version-main
And post the results.
If you upgrade hboot, non Sense (AOSP) based JB ROMs will have some limitations like no GPS, but JB Sense ROMs will be able to work.
Also, after JB hboot, USB Mass Storage turns into MTP, which is a fair bit less convenient.

So I was running Slimbean 6.2 weekly with ktoonez 6.8 kernel and decided to go into recovery (CWM Touch 6.0.3) to fix permissions and clear cache since I was having some battery drain issues. After I hit fix permissions it started to do so and then all of a sudden my phone rebooted and gets stuck at the splash screen. Went back into recovery to try and fix permissions again same thing happens. Tried clearing cache and doing a normal reboot still stuck at splash screen. I tried doing a factory reset but it keeps rebooting right when it gets to formatting data. So essentially I can do anything aside from format data so I am guessing there's some corrupt file there that's keeping me from formatting it. I've tried installing different ROM's that I have on my SD card but they always get stuck at the splash screen. Doing a restore doesn't work as once it gets to restoring data the phone reboots. I checked report error or something along those lines in CWM Advanced and it said can't format /emmc which I'm not sure what that means.
I've looked around but haven't been able to find any information on how to fix this. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Ok go into CWM wipe cache, wipe dalvik and do factory reset. Then flash any rom which you have on your phone storage. Does this work?

In case you guys weren't aware, BAM team has finally made ROM for our phone. I've been running it and so far no FC's or problems.
Happy flashing to all
Step1: wipe
step2: flash ROM
step3: flash gapps
step4: flash temasek kernel

NFC included?
Never used on a phone I ever owned so I don't know. When I say everything works, I mean practical everyday apps like WiFi, gps, Bluetooth, camera. Stuff like that. I don't know many people that do use NFC

hello, don't see it anywhere, do you have a link for it??
Thanks!
Which Gapps did you use?
I have a strange one here. After flashing the ROM in twrp & hitting reboot my phone went straight into download boot screen. Has this happened to anybody else? I never have suffered from boot loops or had any boot up problem before.

So basically, what you're saying is not everything works? Why didn't you just say that. I'm pretty sure that is a practical everyday app

Show my knox is tripped & in Odin mode & all that stuff. Pretty weird. I'm gonna try again here in a bit after downloading the rom again.

That is weird. Try again for sure. I didn't have any problem my first time installing this ROM. And also being clear, you full wiped before installing?

Yeah I did & I got the same thing lol. Very very strange.

You think maybe a bad install or something? When I flash, I flash the ROM, then the pa gapps, then supersu update zip and then temasek kernel in that order

I downloaded the rom again & flashed & still the same thing. Everything checks out, but I obviously can't boot up. Oh well, maybe I try the next build. Thanks for trying to help buddy.

Same exact thing just happened to me! weird! Have you figured it out yet? Kinda worried me because the first time i tried to restore a nandroid it failed. Second time was a charm though... Sure would like to know more if anyone has any input...
Thanks!

No I never got it to boot. I'm sorry it happened to you, but at the same time I'm a bit relieved I'm not the only one. My restore worked just fine though & every other rom I've tried boots up just fine. I'm hoping the next version will boot for us.

Flashing Temasek Kernal got the rim to boot.

The roms kernal is either missing or screwed up. Flash temaskes kernal and it will boot.
