The Nexus 7 2013 gets along swell with it. I plugged in my N7 to the USB port and it began charging even when cloudy, the sun could not be spotted in the sky, and then as clouds thinned to get hazy sun then it charged really fast, not far short of a mains charging. I went from 33% charged to 86% charged in 2.5hours, the first period it was slow, then fast. 86% to 89% in 10mins as it begins to level off.
Good if you're going to be outdoors off-grid for any length of time. The panel is lightweight and has a zipped compartment behind the solar panel when unfolded you can leave the N7 inside, such as to hold up off damp grass when propped pointed at sun.

External Battery Charger?

I'm looking for a quality external battery charger for my E4GT
I have some cheap-o one that looks like it was made in China and it take 16 hours or so to get a full charge on it. Anyone have any suggestions or can point me to one that doesn't take all day to charge? I need it because the guy who repaired the charging port once pretty much destroyed the contacts to the mainboard, so it is now irreparable. I don't think Sprint would cover under the TEP since it has been opened (I had it repaired once when it wasn't covered under the TEP).
If you are looking for a great battery charger, check out Anker battery expert. It has worked very well. I found it online for about $15.

Edit: I have been using this charger nearly every day since September 2013. I use 2 batteries, and alternate between them. My phone won't charge by usb after flying off the dash of vehicle while pluged in.

[Q] I'm guessing my battery is borked? (image)

I noticed this yesterday when I was out in the field. First, when I got to work, my battery went from 100% to 25% in the amount of time it took me to drive for 25 minutes. Then, when I plugged it in, it didn't really seem to be charging. Something was draining the battery while plugged into the wall socket, still. When I had it connected to a computer USB, it slowly went down.
I took the battery out, put it back in, connected the charge cable and was presented with this image.

I've never seen that before, but I'm guessing something inside the battery has gone kaput. And, this is the battery that came with the phone and I have only been using the Samsung charger that came with it as well.
I'm pretty sure it is the battery, so no big deal, I have my eye on the Anker 4400mAh battery which is only $21 off Amazon, or the Zerolemon for $40.
That's crazy, I've never seen that before either.

It is brilliant going to use the money to buy another, built in rechargeable lithium battery to keep your phone charged, you can also charge other usb devices with it too.
Very secure and totally waterproof, can be used on a motorcycle will not fall off.
Touch screen still works great through top cover also has a cut out for the camera if needed.
Headphone access included
Ipx4 water resistance submersible.
Make me some offers, it cost me around £50 obviously would prefer uk sale through PayPal.

This charger is amazing Firstly it comes fully stored, It fits in the palm of my hand, it feels smooth and cold like a stainless steel, and It charged my phone without loosing a bar light It was able to charge my alcatel one touch f2 from 22% to 100% in less then a hour , also my motorla moto g from zero to 3% in 2 minutes. The small usb cord that came along with it is quite durable even though its small its the perfect fit for a portable charger. Without the incovience of having a long cord in your pocket/bag. I am very impressed by this gadget and I highly recommend for anyone to buy it. :fingers-crossed: It can charge android type phones or devices with the similar outlet to charge it . :good:

is it normal for everyone?
or it is only for me while fast charging
Ofc its notmal if ur using super fast charging
Batteries heat up when they charge, faster charging, faster and greater heating.
Yes that's quite normal
My Samsung galaxy note 4 on qualcomm quick charge 3.0 goes upto 55 degrees and that just 18 watt of power.
Samsung A70 super fast charger is 25watt charger so it's quite normal for it to go this high.
If it bothers you you can untick super fast charging in settings >battery.
You phone might charge slowly but it wouldn't heat up.
Another trick you can use is to power off your phone and use stock 25 watt charger. This way apps running in background wouldn't heat up processor and keep the temperatures down.
