Flashed, I think wickedX, can't remember for sure, and it changed the stock boost splash/boot to sprint spark. Anyone know where i can get the stock boost? Wiped the phone and restored it with Odin and it's still Sprint.

Did you restore a boost .tar in odin or the sprint nj2? For boost you'll need ndc.
If you used a sprint tar, you'll get the sprint splash.

no, i used the boost/virgin OH1 tar. I didn't think I could go down to NDC from OH1? I was under the impression knox prevented that. The splash changed to Sprint when I installed the custom rom, and stuck even after restore.
Oh. Is it a triband? I didn't know someone captured the tar for oh1 for the regular s3, good to know.
But yes you can go back to ndc if you want. Just not further than ndc. Ndc is the first build with Knox, so you can't go back further than that.
You may have a file replacing the splash, you may have to wipe internal storage (data/media).
Or sometimes it changes as soon as you connect to the network.

Yes it is a tri-band. I actually did try a full manual wipe before the restore, data included. Connecting to network didn't chnage anything. I hadn't had a chance to try NDC before this thread, so I will post results after completed

If its a triband, do not do ndc. That's not for the triband. You need nf4 or oh1. There are 2 oh1's, one for reg and one for triband. Check your files bro.

yeah no i do appreciate it. I've been doing some stuff to the old lady's phone. I'm an HTC guy, so the regular S3/Tri-band differences are new to me. Seems like the tri-band doesn't get a lot of attention in terms of the forums, so it's been hard to find much for it. Getting the swing of it now, just was a little tricky in the beginning.

Yeah, it came out pretty late in the game. If you're looking for roms, octos has a build for it. Also, there is a zip file that symlinks the correct modem-firmware image which allows flashing of roms built for the regular S3. You just flash it with the rom of your choice. I can get you a link if you want.

I bought a SPH-D710 (virgin mobile) recently and accidentally flashed it with a Sprint rom.
I was wondering if anyone has a stock FJ12 or other Virgin Mobile rom?
The current Sprint one will send sms and make calls but gps, and mms do not work. Also the splash at the beginning is obviously Sprint rather than VM.
Thanks,

If we don't see soon I can have someone dump the partitions but that's a little harder than the current way.

I'm on a VM Epic 4G, stock, unrooted(because I can't figure out how to root it), is there anything I could do to help provide stock firmware for this phone?
I'll admit I'd probably need to be guided through it, because without CWM/Titanium/anything needing root installed on my phone I wouldn't really know where to start making a backup, but I'm willing to try anything that won't cause physical damage to my phone, including risking a brick because I've still got over three weeks left to return/exchange my current phone.

Rooting it is actually easy:
1) Grab Agat's Repacked kernel:
[UPDATE][KERNEL][SOURCE] FI27 AGAT_v0.6.8 with tREC_v0.2.2 11/07/12 - xda-developers
The H/W is exactly the same between Sprint, Virgin and Boost so it will do the job.
2) Grab this file and put it on either microSD card or internal storage:
http://garwynn.rainmotorsports.net/subusybox.zip
3) Flash Agat's kernel by Odin or Mobile Odin Lite.
4) Boot into recovery (Vol Up + Power)
5) Flash subusybox.zip
6) Reboot
... and profit!

Worked like a champ for me. I'm not in a 4G coverage area, though, so I can't tell you if Agat's kernel affects 4G performance at all. Looking at that thread, it looks like some people have been having 4G issues but he's working on an updated kernel to try and solve the problem. If 4G is a huge deal for you, you should probably wait on this.

One click is referring to how an item is packaged.
Meaning, it's a simple executable Odin package used to flash an item to your phone.
Most of the time, when someone refers to using a one click, it has all three items needed. Kernel, modem and rom.
Although, one click could simply mean the package itself.
Follow the link and you can flash the no data on top of what you have and end up with stock kernel/recovery as well. Looking for just the kernel. Will link once I find it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35073538
: edit: Here is just the kernel, one click package.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get the tmobile version of this phone since the i9505 doesn't support LTE on tmobile. Would the ROMS made for the i9505 work on this phone? I currently have the HTC One and I can flash the international roms on that phone.
I know the Octa core roms wont work, but will the i9505 roms work?
Thanks for the help!
From all that I have read, all i9505 ROMs will work on the SGH-M919 S4 model. You just have to MAKE SURE that the baseband is NOT baked into the ROM image.

To which 4.3 Odin image are you referring? If you mean the 4.3 GPe image, then nah, I wouldn't flash that. There are plenty of CWM flashable versions of the 4.3 GPe leak to even risk using Odin to flash it. I mean, really... if you're like me; and by that I mean staying rooted, not really caring about having stock recovery, and not having to be the absolute first to have the latest and greatest OTA which might break your root/etc, then I'd definitely recommend just sticking with whatever you got now and just waiting until the unsung heros of XDA figure out how to work work their magic on the new stuff.

Yes you can, but be sure to only flash the Snapdragon variant's roms. NOT the 8 core one. Also, in my experience, wifi doesn't work if the rom includes a radio or kernel. The CSC has to match up and as of now, we dont have just the CSC for the tmobile one.

I would PM the dev of the rom you want to flash and ask them if it includes radios and a kernel. If it includes either of them, do NOT flash it. Otherwise you have to ODIN back to stock and go through all that boring stuff.

I had wiped everything. I always do. I think there is a problem with that one version of TWRP.
I use the Sprint SlimBean ROM and I had no issues with it on my SCH-S960L. I had no issues with my mobile connection except for the fact that it it took some time to connect to mobile data services or even required a restart or Airplane mode toggled. This along with it sometimes did not switch between 3G and LTE when it should. Because of this I attempted to flash a newer Sprint Galaxy S3 modem. This completely disestablished any connection to services. It has 0 bars and cannot make calls, send texts, or use data. I have tried to reflash the ROM but of course, it did not help at all.
Now in the light of hope, I made a backup of the efs and firmware folders before flashing. I'm not sure how I can fix my issue with this but it was suggested to do so before flashing.
My baseband version was S960LWYAMD6. While I could reflash the old modem, (with help) I would prefer a better modem. (if there are any)
Any help is appreciated.
With best regards,
SirBenjamin

if you own this particular model, then you would know that its pure hell trying to find ANY files. this is the stock MD6 modem.bin ripped from my phone. ive seen people ask for this modem because they flashed the MD4 modem in hopes of getting their MSL and/or for the benefits of being able to use the 16-digit password. (which reminds me.. i have read of ways to port the 16-digit password from a .dll file in the phone? i have done loads of searching, but the password is NO WHERE to be found) and needed the stock modem. so for anyone that needs it here it is.

Proby, I tried to do the other things you suggested. I can't update the PRL/Profile since I'm on a custom ROM. That is unless there is another way. I did not understand what you meant with the number you mentioned. If you wanted me to call that it did nothing.
As for chx, unfortunately it still did not fix it. This quick little modem update is turning into a nightmare. Not only that, but no sound plays, the microphone does not work, and DSP Manager crashes whenever I try to play media.
I really appreciate both of your support though.
Yay! I used Mobile Odin Pro and flashed a file from another thread. It may have been the file or using Mobile Odin Pro since it downloaded the correct driver. I appreciate all of your help, though.

Use Odin on your computer. One last question, what if I decide I want to go back to the MK5 modem, is that possible? If so, do you know where I can download it?

Hey just tried to do your procedure on a M919V (videotron canada) coming from a baseband MK5. After the first fail, i removed the battery, waited and plugged the battery back and download mode again. Tried reflashing it again but it gave me fail again. Is there something I'm missing? thanks for your help!
