I am new to Nova. In my playing around and setting up, I switched back to Google Now Launcher. When doing so, most my icons on my home screen disappeared and my app store totally disappeared. Switching back to NOVA revealed the same situation. I recovered with a TWRP back up, but is this action normal when switching between launchers?
Did you check to see if Nova hid the app store? Long press a blank space on a home screen in Nova and select 'Settings' in the overlay that appears. Navigate into 'App & widget drawers', then 'Hide apps' (under 'Drawer groups'). Confirm that 'Play Store' is not checked in the list that appears.

I will check for that if the problem happens again. So I should be able to switch between the two launchers without any ill effect? I have been afraid to try ever since.
Somebody else might chime in, but I've never had a problem with multiple launchers installed on the same device. My G4 has the Google Now Launcher, Nova, and the in-built LG Launchers and I can switch between them or assign a default without issue.
Hey guys, can anyone help me to find LP Theme from Percy921-last version?

I am using NOVA as my daily launcher. Whenever I open any app and press back key, instead getting Nova launcher home and I see stock touchwiz home. How Do I fix this problem? I can get Nova launcher home by pressing home button.
Mine is not doing that. I used an app called homesmack to set nova as default. That may fix your problem. Sounds like every action isn't defaulted to home. Just the home button.

I had that problem with Nova and sslauncher but only when I had backed out of gmail!? Really strange. Do as Aranen_Zen suggested and install a home switcher to see if it helps.
Thank, I will try home switcher. Does anybody know how to fix without installing any other app.

Not sure if you tried this yet, but go into NOVA settings and scroll to bottom...there's a setting called "set default home". It will show what you have set and can set NOVA as default there. Also, in Manage Applications you can clear defaults somehow if step above didn't work.
I have a Motorola Razr M HD (XT926) and am running into the same issue with Nova.
Pressing the "back" button to leave an app takes me to my default home. However, if I leave an app by pressing "home" I am taken to my Nova home screen.
OP, did you figure this out without installing another app?
Doctor, I did as you said to no avail.

I am not sure but with Nova update (or Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update ??) that problem has gone. I had setup Nova as default launcher but still was getting error.

i am not facing that problem now. No idea what fixed it, update to Nova or Firmware upgrade. But I am glad that it has gone.

I have the same problem with my Note 8.0 but it seems to only happen for the Gmail widget, which I use very often. I've tried Nova, Apex and GO launchers and they have the same results. I've tried the suggested home-switching apps but to no avail.
Getting exact same problem
I have a Motorola XT925 RAZR HD. Just installed Nova and set it as default launcher using the Nova settings... made sure the Home Launcher has no defaults... but yeah, backing out of Gmail or Text Messaging would show the default launcher home screen. Rebooting seems to have cured it, but I'll report back if it comes back. Kinda annoying but glad to see others having the same problem, means a software issue, not my phone! heh.
the home screen goes blank without any widget or app icon once in a while when i exit from an app. they come back after i open the app drawer.
any way to solve this?

Same problem...
I had the same issue with Pac-Man Rom on my GT-I9105P.
Seems to occur less often after I activated the "Pinch to enable expanded desktop" option in Settings -> Pac-Man -> Home screen -> General
Don't know why, though. Just played around with some settings to see if it gets better.
This seems to be a common bug of Trebuchet.
You can completely avoid it by installing a different launcher (like Apex Launcher).
Hello everyone,
was anyone able to have google now launcher running on lg g3? I am on art. when i install and select it, it states that I have "home" set as default and should remove it as such. When I do this and press the home button, google now launcher does not appear on the list of available launchers.
anyone else experienced this?

run the launcher from the apps drawer, it will have to update google play services and google now, the default versions don't work.
The scaling is terrible on it you need to use xgels.
When certain things happen like when i close an app while its loading or smt like that my app drawer shrinks and icons not fitting the whole page and i can see the next and previous pages app icons a bit. I have to force stop the launcher in order to fix it but is there any other solutions ?
try to clear the cache or restart the phone, if that doesn't work you can still use another launcher like Nova Launcher or Google Now Launcher..

Since they dont feature the double tap to sleep i am not interested in them. But thanks for the advice
Nova launcher actually has a "double tap to sleep" feature under gestures-> double tap you can set "lock screen" which will do the same as LGs launcher
For some time now when I open Google it freezes then a pop-up says "Google is not responding, close app, wait, send feedback". Sometimes if I select wait it runs but usually it happens again.
I cleared the cache and now I get a different message "Launcher 3 is not responding, close or wait"
Does anyone know of any solution please
clear the data of the following apps
google
google play services
your launcher (what ever the name of it maybe)
then restart your phone
Thank you. Launcher 3 isn't listed in the apps. It's down as the Home app under configure apps. I'm on Android 7

Make sure you have pressed the 3 dots on the top right corner & select show system - so you can also see system apps in the list
You can always just install and use a different launcher - I recommend evie launcher (playstore)
Thank you, I didn't know you could do that. I cleared the cache on Launcher 3 (which is my stock launcher) but it didn't make any difference. So I installed Evie. I now have to open Google from a shortcut and it still doesn't respond, but if I select Wait it does respond eventually.
When I refer to Google, I think I mean Google Now which opens stories connected to things I've looked at.

Clearing data is different from clearing cache - its within the same menu options though in app settings
Sorry, I misread your post. I'll try it again.
I wish I'd read your post properly the first time. I've done it now and it seems to be working properly now. Thank you.
That's the problem I kept having.. Click on:
Settings, Apps, Show System, Launcher 3, Force Stop, Storage, Clear Data.
*It will delete your home screen icons, so you'll have to re-add them onto your home screen again.
