Hi, i have samsung s4 mini I9192 dual SIM , original firmware, when i am in a call , if i move the phone away from my ear the screen stays dimmed and never lights up (light sensor) till the other person ends the call it lights up again ... but guess what is on the screen !!! i get the date and time settings screen open by itself !!! can anyone help ??? thanks

When in a phone call and put the phone to your ear, proximity sensor triggers the black screen. Maybe your the sensor is defect. To you have an App to monitor the sensor signal? I use satstat.
My Samsung A5 2017 screen does not go blank during calls.
because of which I land up pressing random buttons during calls with face.
I restart my phone and the issue resolves for sometime but it keeps coming back.

have you rooted your device? Do you know if the proximity sensor is still working (test with an apilication like cpu-z)? since when does it not work anymore?

I have a problem with my Google Nexus 4 on LineageOS 16 (but I think that it's more a hardware problem than a software problem) : when I make a call the screen tunr off, this is normal, but when I move the phone away from my ear the screen does turn on... I think a sensor should malfunction.
So, in LineageOS, would it be possible to set the phone so that the screen does not turn off during a call ?

Do you use a screen protector that covers the proximity sensor?

The problem appeared suddenly, with no changes made to the phone.
