SHW-M290K help please

Please help me about my phone SHW-M290K i update it using gingerbread 2.3.5 flash via odin all is okay but wifi and bluetooth are not working. i read some forum also here in xda but they say that my device has a korean firmware to install please me help me about these where can i download the firmware to used the wifi and bluetooth and thanks in advance. (sorry im too bad for english)

i have cyanogenmod 7.2 on my M290K, the sensors, bluetooth and wifi hot spot dont work, but the roms is functional otherwise. the screen will be inverted, but hold the phone upside down and disable sensors in cyanogenmod settings and your screen will be correct but no auto rotate. i posted the stock firmware in the thread for cm7.2 and asked about wifi and he said he will work on a patch for it.
but if you do not want cyanogenmod you can find the stock firmware at the end of the cm7 thread and flash it with odin, i posted it there forhim to use as a reference for the patch.

There are no support for now.

There are no support for now. because SHW-M290K and GT-S5660 are different device.

I'm jealous... you guys get a Broadcom Wifi chip while we're stuck with this cheap Atheros/Qualcomm crap... RRRRR....
By the way, before anyone questions, lets just say that I'm a Broadcom fanboy...

I dont know. He said he would work on it, but a lot of devs dont like it when we ask when it will be done. He said he will make it a couple days ago, so im going to wait a week more before asking again.

Use the link on the last page, he gives details pn M290K specs and a link to the root file.

I'm trying to use odin to flash the stock rom on my M290K gio and I get boot loops after it gives the PASS! message. I was hoping it would at least format to rfs so I could restore my stock backup, but CWM for rfs+ext4 cant restore it. Can anyone help me?
edit- Okay I got odin to restore the stock rom but my back up still wont restore. I wish I knew the problem, but it says it cannot format /system.

Remove the battery and then put it back go to recovery wipe data and then factory reset

If somebody want to root SHW-M290K I included that phone as well. And if is working I hope some of the devs will make some custom rom

[Q] Unknown baseband but still get connection

My baseband says unknown but I still connect to At&t network? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Mine also says Unknown but it doesn't seem to have any harmful side effects.

Did you folks, by any chance, flash a modem before flashing a ROM?

I had the unofficial flashed before with the modem flashed in the OP

Reboot into recovery and flash the modem two time in succession, see if that gets rid of "Unknown Baseband" problem.
That has always worked for me. When flashing a modem I always do it twice before rebooting the device.

( HELP) I need to odin M919TMBEMK2

Updated to MK2 with Kies and now the WiFi is not working I tried to odin back to MDL did not work, anyone has a link to the M919TMBEMK2 file so I can odin back to 4.3

I odin using this file to 4.3 without any problems then rooted it and flash a custom recovery 0 problems

You can try but if it don't work I would use the latest Odin. I think 3.09 is ther latest.

Big thanks to (gdmlaz) for the download link and the quick respond, the Odin back to 4.3 worked like a charm and works great with Odin 1.85

Yes, WiFi works just fine, the link above can be used with Odin and works 100% tested by me.

So does everything work now? I did the same and had problem with wifi and signal..does that work for you now??

How did you gain root after flashing?

No, the data will not be wiped, I did not root it yet.

This 4.3 image worked fine for me as well. I installed twrp and got root access.
After you install twrp, I booted into recovery mode and took a backup. While exiting twrp
to reboot , it asks to install superSU. Say yes. After phone reboots usual rooting process begins.
You may have to download more as part of superSU.

[Q] Wicked 9.1 Mobile Network problem

Hi everyone,Ive installed Wicked 9.1 on my S4 and I got a problem. When I close my phone I automatically lost my mobile network or when I make I call ... dont know what the problem is because my backup got Wicked 7 and I got no problem with the network. Ive tried a lot of thing because I know some tricks but nothing work now sooo I had to put my phone back to version 7.

I Dont think sooo ... If I remember it is the Mobile network type ? If yes not I dont have the Mk2 modem.

You can check by going into Settings/About device and check the baseband.

Just wanted to thank you guys because i was having the same issue!!!! It was driving me bananas!!
I installed the MK2 radio and BAM!!!! started working again!
now the only issue i have is the battery life all of a sudden -.- I love wicked rom though!!! There shall be no other!!!!!

Modem once flash is "permanent" unless you flashed a different modem. Flahing ROM, restoring ROM ect. does not affect the modem.

Ok I tried to flash it in Odin mode (CP) and when its flashing it said FAIL and I dont know the reason ... Can you help me please ?

Was there a reason listed why it failed? Try correct cable or USB port.

I use correct USB and all this stuff ... I do a factory reset after this Im installing Wicked 9.1 put it in download mode and trying to flash the modem with Odin but like I said it FAIL after a few second and no I dont get any error message ... maybe its because my bootloader ?

The Mk2 modem to run Wicked 9.1 because when I flash it and turn the screen off I lose my network and cant make any call XD

I just flashed to this rom from stock rooted 4.2.2 last night and I am having the data loss on wake issue described here, I am on the MDL baseband and have twice done the procedure as outlined to supposed success but upon checking I'm still on MDL?

Still having Issues with Mobile Signal
I have flashed the MK2 modem successfully but ever since doing so my mobile signal is TERRIBLE! I live in a major city and have never had issues with signal until now. I just went back in and confirmed the MK2 modem did install as it says: "M919UVUEMK2" under base band version. Any ideas on what I could try to fix this?

Please I tried to downgrade my galaxy S4 from t-mobile and I bricked it(already fixed it), but I need to downgrade it to unlock it. I tried every way I found here but I keep bricking it

I believe you are suppose to flash the 4.2.2 modem, root, the run regionlockaway, and reflash current modem.

I'm having trouble finding the modems

Confirm the model number in download mode, then do a google search for the appropriate firmware, extract the modem, and flash it?
I'm not sure but you maybe able to use other m919 roms for extract the modem to unlock the phone.

It seems I talked too early but this problems more easy.....my dialer and messaging app are slow af but I'm wondering if I can re-flash the stock 4.4.4 firmware even if that's the version I currently am? Because think I the problem is the modem that I flash had problem

Yep, I re-flashed the stock firmware and it works?

After downgrading the modem, I always recommend reflashing the latest rom from sammobile.com in Odin followed by a full wipe in stock recovery.

Both have the same files.
1. Unzip and flash 4.2.2 modem with Odin(CP Button).
2. Open RegionLockAway and follow the instructions.
3. Once RegionLockAway finish flash 4.4.4 modem.
It's better if you're in stock(if you wanna be sure nothing happens).

Any leads on the Mobilicity or Wind modems?

My s4 is presently "soft-bricked" after downgrade attempt. Would really appreciate some help to fix it.
