Modem once flash is "permanent" unless you flashed a different modem. Flahing ROM, restoring ROM ect. does not affect the modem.

The Mk2 modem to run Wicked 9.1 because when I flash it and turn the screen off I lose my network and cant make any call XD
By the way I tried your 2 link you gave me !
Thanks
I just flashed to this rom from stock rooted 4.2.2 last night and I am having the data loss on wake issue described here, I am on the MDL baseband and have twice done the procedure as outlined to supposed success but upon checking I'm still on MDL?
Still having Issues with Mobile Signal
I have flashed the MK2 modem successfully but ever since doing so my mobile signal is TERRIBLE! I live in a major city and have never had issues with signal until now. I just went back in and confirmed the MK2 modem did install as it says: "M919UVUEMK2" under base band version. Any ideas on what I could try to fix this?
Thanks,
Drew
Worked third try, everything seems good so far now.

If you're not worried about data loss but don't want root, I'd download the Odin flashable 100% stock MDL tar from this thread.... and obviously flash via Odin. That would leave you at 100% stock state with the latest T-Mobile MDL firmware.
If you plan on rooting and flashing custom stuff anyway, just follow this guide. After that, you'll have root and a custom recovery from which you could flash any of the modified/stock TouchWiz ROMs or CyanogenMod or whatever other ROMs you wish.

This 4.3 image worked fine for me as well. I installed twrp and got root access.
After you install twrp, I booted into recovery mode and took a backup. While exiting twrp
to reboot , it asks to install superSU. Say yes. After phone reboots usual rooting process begins.
You may have to download more as part of superSU.
I have a Gs4 with Metro (I know TMO and Metro are basically the same.) and I want to try the NB4 modem but I can't find anything on the pros and cons when flashing from MK5. I can't find much of anything about the switch on XDA or any other forum. My question is, will switching to NB4 hurt anything? If not, can someone give me a link on the best way to flash the file.
Thanks in advance

Here is a link to the NH7 modem. ..
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712470673
Use Odin on your computer. Unclick REBOOT, place the modem.bin file in the PHONE slot (make sure to check the box), once it says fail, unplug and pull battery for 30 seconds and replace battery, boot into download mode (volume down + power + home), plug back in (make sure your phone connects to Odin), flash again and profit.

Hey just tried to do your procedure on a M919V (videotron canada) coming from a baseband MK5. After the first fail, i removed the battery, waited and plugged the battery back and download mode again. The NB4 (4.4.2) radio seems to be a big improvement over the older ones.
If you give us the link to where you downloaded what you flashed, that may help to determine what you flashed.

I see. Well I would flash NH7 firmware again but through Odin. Also does the data drop from LTE to 4G?

Then it may be a network issue.. I guess you can't rule out a hardware issue, but see if you can try using another phone or if you know someone else that uses the same provider as you and see if they can make calls through the network. You can also try swapping sim cards
