For me xposed is a hit and miss. But I blame the modules more then xposed itself. It always boot up fine by itself. I guess it is just the modules that needs to be made working better with 6.0.1
Clearing cashe fixes the boot loop i get stuck in some times. Other times I need to disable the xposed conf file. and it boots up again with no active modules.
No FC.

I am running stock with no FC.
Make a clean redo.
Preferably flash the clean install straight from google with all the right updated radio and vendor etc and try again.

Not encrypted. But I think it should work anyway.
Try without.
Are you flashing through ADB or through recovery?

Rom through fastboot, anything else through recovery.

N5X encrypted running the latest image + xposed v79. No issues at all. I would advise clearing cache/dalvik via recovery to force recompiling of the apps.

Calculator was crashing for me, so I believe I finally just deleted it from /system/app, reinstalled it, and it's been fine ever since.

I think the cause was the xbackground cause I used wanam for 1 day and nothing happened (I kinda liked the different design of my notification).
To be sure now I will do a nandroid backup with TWRP

OP3 + Viper4Android. Anyone get it working?

As title says, anyone get viper4android installed and working with the OP3 and OOS 3.1.3?
I keep getting crashes and system lock ups after flashing Viper4Android 5.4 stock. I soft bricked it once and had to flash stock once when my prior Nandroid Backup failed. So hopefully someone gotten it to work.

Can you try this (I am not available to test it right now). Install Busy Box (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.meefik.busybox&hl=fi) and ensure that you install Busy Box via the app. Then flash the attached zip. It *should* work...

I just tried, my phone rebooted 30 seconds after the boot.
I could go into Viper and it wasn't working, still "abnormal".
All the applications that use the audio are now lagging and FCing...
Audio doesn't work anymore , I restore my backup ^^

I had bootloop by flashing V4A.zip...tried to install V4A.apk along with viper fix.apk and works flawlessly
I'll definitely try it out tomorrow. Done wiping my phone over and over. Did Nandroid backup twice and both restores failed. There's something about the Oxygen OS that is checking and is not backed up. Flashing the stock rom fixes it but loses root.
I did have BusyBox installed when I flashed V4A 5.4 stock and boot looped. I will try the V4A fix. The only thing is that if you flash V4A.zip, it causes the phone to become unstable.
Do I flash the V4A Fix after V4A.zip or boot into rom then apply the apk??

One more test. Made a small change. Also, once you install, you will get the initial freeze after boot up. I got a prompt asking me to wait or stop process. i stopped the process. once system is somewhat stable, install the viper fix.apk, restart and let me know. it seems to be working on mine....

tested on mine. didn't work. Thanks for your effort to fix it for us, though.
OK, I got viper working just fine. At first I thought it was my SuperSU version, so I downgraded to 2.67 (which did fix my es file explorer root issue). However, the driver would never install. What did work, was my selinux mode. After changing to permissive, viper works perfectly. So this is an issue with the app itself. I'm sure there are other work arounds with enforced mode, but I don't care. Lol. Also, I simply installed the apk directly from vipers page, enabled the driver, reboot, and voila! No flashing anything, or messing with anything other than the selinux mode. And I am on stock oxygenOS

Sony walkman EQ on OP3?/V4A problem

Is there a way to get the Sony walkman EQ working with spotify on the OP3?, im running on Community build 3.5.3 with root and Xposed.
Also, I got V4A running and working but I get these anoying sound pops and cracks whenever the phone is under minimum load and it gets worse when on heavier load (Using fingerprintscanner, opening apps, playing videos) It doesn't occur when the phone is stand-by, anyone know how to fix this?

Well in the good old days there was a version from @ibanez7 that was working fine on my Nexus 5...but unfortunately it's outdated...then there is a version from @androidexpert35 http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-xperia-x-premium-walkman-clearaudio-t3373553 but unfortunately for me it never worked on any device...now all the sound mod developers claim that there are Sony Libraries in a lot of mods (particularly based on V4A) but unfortunately i never "heard" again the real clear audio like @ibanez7 version...
I had the same problem. Just install kernel audiutor and put the minimum cpu frequency to 480mhz and also apply the settings on boot.

Are you using standalone v4a or some mod like divine beats/arise. On the latter two, turn off Dolby Atmos app and you won't get crackling. Tested myself
Or you can use ondemand governor instead of interactive. That will also solve the issue.

Unfortunately both options did not work, I changed my governor to ondemand in kernel aduitor and turned Dolby Atmos off in Settings-Apps-Dolby Atmos-force stop and disable.
I'm using the divine version of v4a I think

Which ROM/kernel are you using?
I have tested divine beats 7.5 on stock 3.2.6 and it worked fine on several music players. I don't know about the latest 8.0 though.
Currently I'm using ARISE Deuteronomy but that won't work on stock kernel.
Try dirty flashing your ROM which will remove all sound mods. See if the problem persists. Then flash Divine and test again with only Dolby or only viper app turned on

It is possible that CB could cause the problem. CB have different kernels than stock ROMs. But it is highly unlikely.

Still it's a good idea to backup anything important.

Go to TWRP. Wipe > advanced wipe > and wipe system, dalvik and cache.
This will remove the ROM, any system apps or previous mods etc. Your apps are in data partition and images videos etc are internal storage partition. Don't wipe them.
Dirty flash ROM and reboot. You will have to go through the setup and fill in data for Google accounts just like after factory reset. However all your apps and data will be there. Check if there is any v4a/Dolby app. Uninstall it.
Reboot to twrp and install SuperSU 2.78. Reboot to system. Go to play store and download busybox. Open the app and install busybox.
Reboot to recovery and flash divine beats.
Reboot to system. You'll have Dolby Atmos and v4a apps. Enable either one of them and you should be fine

I tried it with stock OOS 4.0.1 and FreedomOS 2.1.1 (based in 4.0.1). In both cases I got bootloop . So, it doesn't work at all.
I have tried all methods developed till now and there is only one which can work with 4.0.1 rom. This is installing Magisk v9.0 (v10.2 doesn't work) and Phh's Superuser. You can see here...
https://www.google.es/amp/www.thean...less-interface-android/amp/?client=ms-unknown
Using this method I passed SafetyNet but from that moment, Supersu didn't work correctly. I couldn't install Supersu binaries when it asked me. In any case, this method forces you to reboot your device everytime you need to hide the root so, that's not an easy way to pay by phone. Therefore, I restore my nandroid again. However, if you need it to play Pokémon, you can use it.

Sorry, but that doesn't help us too much.
Can you describe step by step, how did you install Magisk and Phh SuperUser in rom 4.0.1?
I have done it in different ways and it fails in many cases so, it is not as easy as you say. We would need the details of a better explanation.

Would be more specific if I could mate, but I just flashed as I would any other zip. Using bluespark's latest TWRP (although it worked on others before) after a clean install (but has also worked for me if it wasn't a clean install).
I wiped data, system and cache, flashed oxygenos, flashed magisk (which automatically installs phh now), flashed some other mods I use (aptX, emojis). I rebooted and it worked fine.
Dm-verity might be causing you problems, but I don't know much about it and can't help you here. Mine has never been an issue because of whatever way I originally got to Nougat and rooted (with SuperSU I think). But try some of the dm-verity tutorials on here and see if they help. I think I read somewhere that it caused bootloops if TWRP was granted permission to modify the system partition. They will wipe your phone, however.

Ok, thank you so much, mate. Actually, I never got dm-verity issue. The only different thing I did regarding your method was a dirty installation instead of a clean installation of the rom. I suppose it was the cause of some problems I had with Supersu.

Try toggling magisk hide off then try your app again, or uninstall/reinstall your app, or try magisk 16.4 beta, or possibly a different kernel. You may have to flash the stock boot.img again to remove root to see if that brings the app functionality back. Then sign into the app(if necessary) then try magisk 16.4.

You can flash it in twrp if you have extracted it from the factory image and transferred it to your phones internal storage.
