[Q] Best radio for latinamerica for galaxy nexus

Hi everyone:
I just bought a brand new galaxy nexus I want to know if there's good radio for latinamerica. Movistar Peru uses the band 850mhz for 3G.

GSM Defy can change frequency bands!

Hi everyone,
It's always been known that there is a 900/2100 Defy and an 850/1900 Defy.
I got mine from my 850mhz carrier in Australia. I am visiting Hong Kong at the moment. I purchased a one2free SIM (900mhz network), changed my baseband, and got on data with full HSPDA! I can download around 200kbytes a second.
Thought I'd share for fellow travellers.

Hi, how did you change the basebands to HDSPA 850/1900?

Look up "baseband switcher for defy" in Google. You'll be surprised. It's not really news...

Thanks for your answer, but I have a Defy+ with cm7. I tried with basebandswitcher and baseband of cyanogen but didn't work, they didn't change frequencies and the phone lost signal. Do you know why? Thanks

Can you help with the problem of the frequency have in my phone?
I have Lg Optimus Me of Europe (Movistar- Spain)
My 3g works in 2100 mhz but i like change to 850-900mhz to work in Latinoamerica
can you help me, i believe with a change of baseband can use 3g in my country, help me pelase?

[Q] LG Optimus G Pro E988 band frequency problem

Hi everyone, I just bought a LG Optimus G Pro E988 in asia, and now i am living in a country of central america that dosent support 3G 900/2100.
In this country only supports 3G WCDMA 850, and this have to thank to this great website to made me bought this version gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_g_pro_e985-5254.php the specs of this site is wrong !!!
So, i wanna ask you guys kindly, if I can do anything to change my 3G 900/2100 frequency to 850mhz ?

Unfortunately not, you can try rooting and flashing a modem/baseband but i doubt it will change anything.
My source: i had an E988 and tried all the same stuff
Sorry mate, try to get the E980 model...its better

I'm from Chile and here the lte technology is recently working. The selected bands to lte was 700mHz and 2600mHz. Somebody know if the M8 will work great with the two bands ??

You need to check the model version you are buying if it supports these bands, for your case the asian version will be the best, Asia: 700/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz .
