Authorization Error #11 - Verizon LG G4

Hi there. I recently decided to try to root my LG G4 32 GB Cermic White VS986. It didn't end very well. I realize now after intense searches that I tried to root with an old system file, and ended up kind of bricking my phone. I am stuck in the bootloader, with the LG boot logo coming up, then a screen that says "Start Up Failed" with "Authorization Error #11" at the bottom, then the Verizon logo with the device turning back off. I have tried resetting it through Recovery Mode and trying to use LG Bridge to reset it. Not many solutions seem to be coming up. I would appreciate any help at all, as the other option would be to take it in to Verizon, and I know how steep their rates can be. Thanks! Unfortunately I am unable to post images as I am a new user, but if anyone feels they have an idea of how to fix it, please message me and I will send images.

Yes I am able to.

Then you should be able to load any of the kdz files. If you were already on 13b make sure whatever kdz file you use is also 13b.

Also I apologize but could someone tell me how to close the thread? I'm really new and cant seem to find a way to ?

Bricked in the 12 hours I had this phone? :S

Just got this phone less than 12 hour ago.
I have searched everywhere but cannot find any answers.
So first of all, I have rooted, and unlocked my bootloader. I then proceeded to install CM 10.1. Install went perfectly, but when I restart the phone, the LG splash comes on for less than a second and goes straight to a backlit black screen. No matter how many roms I try to install, they all do this..
I have installed LGNPST but when it recognizes my phone, it goes into emergency mode and under DEVICE it says "Unknown"
I have all of the drivers for my phone
If anyone could help me and say what is going on I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked on these forums for atleast an hour before I decided to post this thread.
I have the E971.
Thanks all

Will do, give me a few seconds to download it.
Would anyone help me get the appropriate KDZ tool that I can use that actually has rogers? The ones I have do not have it. Nor my phone model
You'll be fine. LGNPST/KDZ will work.

Download the Rogers 10d from here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20#rogers
LG Optimus G E971/3/5
Thanks guys. For some reason, the KDZ updater wont let me choose the file to update/ Instead of the yellow folder to locate the file, the text box is empty and the button to find it is no where to be found...
try a different computer. i'm surprised that i even have to say that.
On the other computer the program crashes :S
In that KDZ updater folder, there is another executable msi file I believe that you may need to install first.
LG Optimus G E971/3/5
Yup use the KDZ method to fix. If you're on rogers (e971) you need to get the kdz from
lg-phone-firmware.com then scroll down and download version 10d.
You can also download direct from LG if you can get the link.
This post links to the original NEW JB update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196742
ALWAYS FLASH CUSTOM ROMS FROM 10D
Run the msxml.msi or get the microsoft xml pack from microsoft.
Run the LG Software from the website to install ADB access for windows.
Put your phone into download mode and run the KDZ updater program.
Wait. If you get a bootloop do a factory reset.
Better tutorials are available on here you just have to look around. This is where I got my info:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010624
I on the other hand have lost the ability to downgrade. Phone stuck on boot animation after first reboot during flashing with KDZ. I only have download mode available. Looks like from now on the MTP driver simply will not load. Sheesh.
Edit: I got Factory Reset option finally! All is good again. I really had to KDZ this thing like 30+ times.
Exact same thing happened to mine. After 5 days of literally trying everything I went to sprint and they replaced it with a new one.

[Q] Help SOFT BRICK bad build prop

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING
Hey fellow LG Owner(s) I am writing this asking for some help. I know that majority of LG Phones use the same software and flashing tools regarding taking your phone back to stock. I currently own an LG G Flex (LS995 Sprint Variant) and I managed to soft brick my phone. I have posted this same message over at the LG G Flex Threads but so far I have gotten no one to provide me some sort of solution on how to un-brick or factory reset my phone.
The status of my phone before it got bricked was it had Root (IOROOT method), Busy-Box (by Jrummy), Build.Prop was edited to display as a Nexus 5, and boot-loader locked along with no custom recovery. If you’re wondering why my boot-loader was locked and why there wasn’t any type of custom recovery was due to the sad fact that Developers are having a hard time on cracking it.
Now to explain on how I soft bricked my phone. I was changing my font style by using a tool called ROM Toolbox (by Jrummy). I managed to change my font once and I attempted to change it a second time, since I was looking for something that displayed it wider and bolder. So as I applied install on the new font I got an automatic reboot.
The reboot consisted of the normal LG Logo display, followed by a black screen and staying as a black screen. On the upper left of my phone the notification indicator was flashing multiple colors (red, white, blue etc). This is the current state of my phone, black screen with a multicolor notification.
My attempts to fix:
- Simple reboot of the phone ((fail))
- Let the phones battery drain out then charge for a few minutes and restart ((fail))
- Managed to get into STOCK recovery and perform clean partition ((fail)
- Managed to get into STOCK recovery and apply factory reset ((fail))
- I got into some weird mode which also gave me the option to apply factory reset ((fail))
- I followed this tutorial (LG Flash Tool) on how to revert back to stock (by hyelton) ((fail))
Link to tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644083
The tutorial by hyelton was almost successful to reverting back to stock firmware until I got to the last step (Number 6). The error that occurred by using the LG Flash Tool was when the tool attempted to flash the stock firmware it gave me a Download FAIL!! “Device Model is different“ notification (Images below). I did this tutorial at least seven times and I got no luck. Every single time that I attempted to do this I kept getting the same notification. I have now ran out if ideas on what to do.
My theory, I believe that by changing my build prop to display as a nexus 5 is the reason why I keep getting this fail notification. On the phone it-self when I put it into download mode it even displays as a Nexus 5 (Images below).
I was wondering since it’s possible to get into STOCK RECOVERY, I saw that it had an option for “ADB SIDELOAD” is it possible to push something thru ADB??? Any type of help is greatly appreciated and thanked. Please do not get upset that you see this in multiple LG threads, I am just trying to find a solution to UNBRICK this very expensive phone that I bought and I cannot afford to just use it as a paper weight. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

Alright yall, I am almost official screwed. I purchased this phone about a month ago from Best Buy and they stated that I am out of there 15 day window so I cannot exchange or replace for the same phone. I then went to Sprint on whom I have phone insurance for and they stated that they cannot do anything and that I have to go to one of their Sprint repair stores. I went to one of the repair stores and the gentlemen that assisted me plugged my phone to his computer and immediately knew that my phone was rooted. So from there I played the dumb blonde card acting like I don’t know what he’s talking about and from there he directed me to call LG and see what they can do. So now the current status is I filed a repair request and now I am awaiting a reply from LG. Does anyone have any suggestion???
**SOLUTION** hey yall i got the solution to my problem and it was simply by downloading this universal custom .dll from

RETURN TO STOCK TOT Method! AT&T & Sprint Verzion & The Few International TOTs I have available
Download
1. LGFlashTools v1.8 - Download
2. Drivers - Download
3. Download Both Stock Image File and DLL (Both Files) - Download
Credit to @madmack for making most of this Guide for the G Pro Which also works on our G2
3.1 - FOR SPRINT FIRMWARE - Click Here
3.2 FOR International KITKAT TOT`s Click Here
Install
1. Install the LG drivers downloaded above.
2. Install LGFlashTools v1.6 (but don't run it)
3. Extract the TOT file from the ZIP
Drivers initialization
1. Put the phone into download mode. (Turn off device PRESS VOL UP while plugging in the micro usb cable. If this doesn't work, try holding both volume keys instead)
2. Let the phone initialize and install the drivers. Once done, in Device manager, you should see the LG phone listed under COM ports (something along these lines).
3. Find that LG entry in Device Manager, click on Properties, Advanced and then change the COM port to COM41 and close/save.
4. Unplug your phone! Important step.
LGFlashTools
To get this tool to work, you'll need to do a few tricks.
1. Set the computer's date to some time in July 2012 or before.
2. Disconnect the internet
3. Find a serial number or register key from somewhere on the web (a google search for lgflashtools serial will yield some results). Can't help you here and please don't share any keys in this thread or get us in trouble.
4. Execute the LGFlashTools. It should ask you for a key, put it in. Now you should see a dialog where you can load the DLL file and the TOT files that you extracted earlier. Put them both in here. Click ok
Flashing
5. There is a yellow arrow on the top left. Click on it to initialize the process. Once done, it should say "ready/finished" or whatever.
6. Put the phone in download mode again, and plug it into the USB port. LG FLash Tools should start flashing it automatically. When it's done, it'll automatically reboot into your stock AT&T rom and all of your data and internal sdcard files are gone.

adb sideload comes up as an option on stock recovery. can you please show me the command to push that. also do i have to pull the old build prop and then push the original one???
just a quick thought here, I had kind of the same problem on my G2 LS980 ( it thought it was a model 801) and to get around the error I used the correct .dll for my model phone but renamed it to the reported models .dll name, this should get the LG Tool past that check .dll error,
so for your case, you will need to find the Nexus .dll to get the name of it, then you will make a copy of your LG Flex .dll and rename that copy to the name of the nexus .dll, then when you manually load the .dll into LG Flash Tool use the renamed .dll, hope this helps you out, best of luck!

Help lg flash tool not working
Sent from my R1 HD using Tapatalk

[Q] LG G3 Security Certification Error, LG Flash Tool Not Working. HELP!

So I rooted my D850 with LG_Root and it worked. I wanted to take it a step further and install TWRP. It didn't work but the system still worked and everything. So I did a little more research and found that you need to use BUMP and you need to install a patched bootloader and version of android. I did and its completely bricked now. Well not COMPLETELY. When I turn it on it gives me a message saying security certificate error. Then it goes to a black screen with a blinking LED. I have to remove the battery to get it to turn off. I can get it to download mode so I tried flashing with no success.
I bought it at BestBuy and I'm past my free 2 week warranty by ONE day. So that sucks. Luckily LG has a 1 year warranty. Will they replace it? It says they only replace/refund/refurbish HARDWARE failures, etc. Should I dump some water in the USB port? Lol.
What should I do?!?!?
Don't jump the gun just yet. Can you give more detail on trying to flash it and not suceeding? What exactly did you try? What happens?
If it goes to download mode, its probably repairable.

[Q] Help! 3 hours, accidentally soft bricked my G4!

I'm on T-Mobile, and I upgraded from a G3 to a G4. Ordered the G4 from T-Mobile yesterday, got it a few hours ago. Earlier today, I went through the restore process for the G3 using the LG Flash Tool (essentially following these steps here). That all went fine. Shortly after that, without thinking, and without closing the LG Flash Tool, I plugged my G4 into my computer to charge it. I got confused for a moment when I noticed it restarting. The Flash Tool had picked it up, and was setting up to push the G3 firmware to it. I panicked, and unplugged the phone from the computer, right as the phone went to the "Firmware Update" screen. Now, whenever I turn it on, it just goes straight to "Firmware Update". Won't enter recovery mode, etc, etc... No matter what, just "Firmware Update".
Any help?

Well, it has the same download mode as the G3 (which is unfortunately the only thing it will boot into), so technically I should be able to flash the firmware the same way, only problem with that is, because it's so new, the .dll and .tot files aren't available anywhere.
I tried a hard reset from the phone, didn't work. I couldn't get ADB to pick up the device (since it only boots into download mode), so I couldn't reboot into recovery via ADB
Took it into a T-Mobile store, they couldn't do anything, as expected. Notated my account, and said to call. New phone was ordered and being sent out to me, should have it Monday

sorry theres no fix to this right now. but i think its a little too early to mess with the G4
You have to restore you LG G4 to stock ROM.As your device is bricked you can't Flash via recovery.Download & Install LG Flash tool on your PC.Then download LG Stock Firmware according to your device model number. Then Flash via LG Flash tool.Below i share some helpful links

Actually there was no need to go to the store and get a new phone
You can easily flash G4 KDZs via LGUP, if you're stuck in download mode. Easiest game of your life. Sorry, that you had a lot of trouble, but keep in mind, that there's a way to get out of bootloops and such 99% of the time (well in fact 100% if it's a software problem). For future problems just check this thread. Easy to use, easy to get out of bootloops. Cheers

Rooting problem...bricked?

Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I literally just got a G3 D855 and tried to root it using One Click Root. I followed all of the steps and after having to manually boot into download mode, it said that it had completed the process and had rooted successfully and the phone restarted.
I now cannot get past the LG logo. I have tried factory resetting as I can access that menu, and I can only access download mode if I plug the phone into my computer whilst holding volume up.
I don't really know how this happened. If anyone has any advice, please send it my way.
I have tried battery pulls etc.
Thank you.
