Baseband unknown problem after trying to COF6 BL+modem - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Small SOS people...
flashed XtreStoLite rom on G925T 5.1.1 = boot ok
went to flash updated COF6 bootloader and modem, got a strange fail in odin 3.10.6
decided to flash just modem then bootloader
flash modem = pass, boot device = modem unknown...
try to flash bootloader = FAIL, on phone screen "SW REV, CHECK FAIL, DEVICE:3, BINARY:2"
please help... not my device
EDIT : might know the problem... need OJ7 modem, i tried to downgrade and that was the issue

No downgrading allowed, but do remember instances where folks had flashed modems several times before they stuck.
Older modem would not matter like bootloader would when attempting to downgrade.
Samsung kernel revisions after first 5.1 update make it impossible to downgrade.

[Q] AT&T SIII i747 imei Null - Null

Hi everyone !
A client brought me an AT&T SIII i747 with an imei problem null-null thus the phone doese not work correctly with a sim card, it runs on Android 4.0.4, i tried to flash the stock rom but in vain,
download mode says >
\\
product name - sgh - i747
custom binary download - No
current binary - Samsung official
system status - custom
qualcom secureboot - enable
warranty bit - 1
bootloader rp swrev - 2
\\
when trying to reflash the stock 4.0.4 rom via odin it says " FAIL! (Auth) "
then adds SW REV CHECK FAIL: FUSED 2 > BINARY 1
Please help me !
You may just need to flash the mjb modem as it appears to be on mjb bootloader which you cannot downgrade from (that's why Odin is failing to flash that old firmware... you should be able to flash 4.3 with Odin though)
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 running TMS3KK-2.0
Currently, there is no stock 4.3 ATT ROM that can be installed via Odin. You'll have to look for a 4.3 ROM that has been compiled to be flashed via Odin.
Do not attempt to flash any ROMs via Odin that tries to downgrade the bootloader and attempting to downgrade could brick your phone.
I had the same problem today..I fixed it by flashing the MJB modem in recovery again..

Can't boot / Odin won't work/No recovery

Hi everyone, looking for some guidance here. Ive checked different solutions but I think I've got a unique combination of "dun goof'd"
History:
I have a Canadian (Bell) SGH-I747M that is rooted and was running the latest cyanogen.
Wanted to lend it to a friend who lost his job and needed a phone but he had a deal through rogers and my phone was locked to Bell.
I tried a few of the unlock code steps but I needed to be 4.1.2 or lower for it to work I heard so I tried installing 4.1.2 and thats where it went wrong. I did a firmware update to back it down and mid update it failed.
I can get it into download mode but not recovery. Letting it boot normally gives the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Keys and try again" I don't think Keys works with cyanogen and even if it did, there is no serial # sticker behind the battery and since I can't boot into settings, I don't know the SN.
When I put it in download mode and try Odin using stockROMS.net oldest or newest image, Odin fails and the phone message is:
ODIN SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0
So long story short, any help is sincerely appreciated, my ideal state would be a working phone thats unlocked so my buddy can use it. IF that means an older OS, all good. Can I even fix this?? If you need more info I'll keep checking in... THANKS!
You cannot downgrade if your phi e has ever had the 4.3 or higher bootloader.
Fix the phone by booting into download mode and flashing the latest stock rom from sammobile.com.
I can boot into download mode but Odin is erroring out.
I tried the sam mobile stock rom and another, I tried another usb cable and different port.
SGH-I747M (Canada) Bell 4.4.2 KitKat I747MVLUFNH2 2014 July
The error on ODIN is:
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> sbl2.mbn
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> sbl3.mbn
<ID:0/004> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1
Error on the phone is SW REV CHECK FAIL : FUSED 2 > Binary 0
You must be flashing an older bootloader because it fails when it gets to aboot.mbn.
Im following this thread... Odin still errors out and I'm using the most current bootloader (I think) for the S3 I747M on Bell

Are your trying to flash a 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 rom? Can't be done if you have a 4.3 or newer bootloader.

4.3 ROM, newest one.
The newest ROM is 4.4.2.
What bootloader version is on your phone?
How do I tell??
Try flashing a stock 4.3 ROM from sammobile.com for your i747m.
If Odin fails when flashing aboot.mbn, it's probably because the 4.3 ROM you are trying to flash has an older bootloader that the one currently on your phone.
If flashing the 4.3 ROM via Odin fails, copy the latest CM11 ROM and the corresponding Gapps to your internal or external memory, flash the latest Philz Touch recovery for the d2lte via Odin, boot into recovery, flash CM11, Gapps, boot, install Samsung Phone Info App, run app, look for the bootloader and modem version.

I tried Philz and I can boot into recovery now Progress!
That being said the CM11 is stuck on the boot logo animation, tried re-installing as well as the CM Nightly same result.
Did full wipe etc still stuck.
Are you wiping the cache, system, and data before flashing CM11 for the d2lte? Are you running the latest version of Philz?
Try CM12 if CM11 doesn't work.

Help with flashing back to stock

I was on one of the latest versions of MM, I was trying to downgrade to 5.1.1. When i tried flashing the 5.1.1 it put me in a fail that i cant get back to 6.0.1. The only .tar i could get to flash is the combination flash that is for troubleshooting all sensors and hardware, I cant get twrp, or any other stock 6.0.1 images to flash back on it without fail on Odin 3.12.3. If anyone has any ideas how to proceed from this purgatory much appreciated.
It's back!
After being very persistent with not being able to flash anything but the combination firmware stock binary, I switched to usb port on back of computer, went backward to Odin 3.9.?, flashed an early MM firmware successfully with the help of a Pit file being flashed with stock firmware. Had recurring fails saying ext4 fail. PIT file fixed that. Back to square 1 now. Was on the latest MM,now on Jun 2016 release of MM. Still hoping to unlock bl and root .

If your bootloader is locked again I think you're going to have to Odin back to BPA1 and do the bootloader unlock process twice again to get back to MM with unlocked bootloader. What's your bootloader now?
Bootloader Is locked, will try to get back to the 5.1.1 again. Thanks
Hi Sir,
Can I flash stock firmware from 910F European version (GSM) after unlocking bootloader on 910V (CDMA)? Or I need permanent root or TWRP.
Because I just want to convert it to GSM phone but full stock without any customise.
Both versions have same hardware.
Please anyone help me. Is it safe conversion?

Odin failing to Flash Stock Firmware

I flashed DevBase rom, everything booted up ok. Then I rebooted the phone FRP and oem somehow got tripped on. Im trying to flash stock firmware via odin. It always fails on kernel.img. My phone is saying its rev2 and all the stock firmware I find seem to be rev1. Any ideas would be very appreciative
Download mode saying my S:2 K:2 and B:2
That looks like system, kernel and bootloader and version 2. All the stock firmware that I have downloaded all fail saying that its version 1.

G955U stuck in factory binary

I recently flashed a combination rom then stock from Sammobile in order to try to bypass FRP lock I repeated this a few times and both the combination rom and stock flashed fine but after flashing the same combination rom Its not working now the phone is stuck in factory binary and Odin will not flash any version 7 stock roms(I got all my roms from SAMMOBILE) I always end up with SW REV CHECK FAIL: (abl)Fused 4 > Binary 2 on my phone screen or something similar. If I use Prince comseys version of odin I end up with a dismatch error instead of rev check. If I flash an 8.0 stock rom it will complete quickly but the phone still boots into factory binary. Any help?

Solved. I was using the combination rom FA70_G955USQU4ARE1 with a V4 bootloader. I used odin v3.13.1 and flashed verizion G955USQU4CRE9 from Sammobile including the bootloader and it fixed my phone.
