Hi, sorry for my bad english, I speak spanish, well, this is the situation:
I have a S4 Mini LTE, but the phone will not start. I tried to flash roms through ODIN, but always the ODIN gets stuck in "Initialization."
I've tried:
- Change cable, use another USB port and use another PC.
- I tried to use a PIT recovery partition or an original that I found, but the ODIN stucks.
- I used different versions of ODIN.
I searched other issues here in xda, but find no solution, only the phone enters Download mode.
PS: The phone does not turn the logo of "Samsung Galaxy" is displayed and no phone enters into recovery mode.
We would really appreciate your help in what they can contribute. A hug for everyone.
I have the exact same story with my S3 SPH-L710, and no good ideas from anyone. Sorry no help, but at least you know you're not the only one.!
Hi there!
Did you found an solution for the " stuck at initialization" problem? I have the exact same issue with odin. I got always stuck at this point no matter which odin version i use...Have a GT-I9195-LTE and it died two weeks ago. I only can boot into download modus, but from there nothing works.
Same here. Samsung support says my Display is broken an it will cost 159 EUR to repair it... I think/hope it's a software problem. So I tried to install a new firmware but got stucked at initialization, too. Still nobody with a solution?

does Odin show a port number? If not then it's probably not finding phone due to drivers.
If it is finding phone ok sometimes usb can get locked, you can "reset" usb by taking battery out and it will hopefully pass initialise.
Hey! Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately Odin shows a port number and I restarted the phone and the computer several times. I also removed the battery from the phone for some days.
I have the same problem. Has somebody found a solution to this already?
Same here. Exact same problem as alexlalejandro .
@ alexlalejandro did you find the pit file for i9195 LTE 8 GB ?
If you have can you show me where please?
I think my phone is really dead

I just went through this yesterday with my S4. Kies 3 would see the phone but not update with the downloaded file, "incompatible" error is what *I* kept getting and the phone was in a boot loop because of the failure. So I tried Oden, no luck there either. All I got there was a big red FAIL!
Well guess what, I was using a USB cable that I thought was the Samsung USB cable because it was white. Well it wasn't what I thought it was and when I dug the Samsung cable out of the S4s box and used it the whole world became much brighter! The flash, using Oden, went exactly as it should have and my phone is back!
So...try changing cable and try changing the port you plug it in to....and maybe don't plug it into a USB hub.....
Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery!

Att has locked bootloaders. You cant flash the file with odin
Hi guys.
One of my friends recently gave me his bricked galaxy s4 mini. The phone doesn't turn on and when I plug it in to my laptop it comes up as Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode) . I've tried to fix it using qdload.pl and QPST but none of them worked.
Is there any way to restore the device without jtaging it ?? I have another working gs4 mini if that helps.
Download odin and a firmware from sammobile. Then do the steps showing on the website and done.

The same thing just happened to my working S4 mini. I put it on charge yesterday and it switched off after 5 minutes and never switched back on. I don't think there's any way to fix it as the EMMC is most likely dead :crying:

Brickbug much?
=/
Same thing happenned to me. I installed TWRP and the phone just died. Now it turns on and everything but is stuck in bootloop. Main issue is, my recovery just shows TWRP symbol and no options to be able to flash a new rom or a new recovery.
Odin flashes stuff such as cwm, stock rom, but none of these seem to actually have any impact in my phone behaviour.
I think it's just dead yet I just don't want to accept it, I'm trying everything I can to make it work again.
PS: I hate myself the day I decided to install a trwp
I need some advice here since I don't know what else to do in order to get a S4 GT-I9190 UD un-bricked. For some reason, unknow to me, I promise I do nothing weird or touch it, my phone was working fine and from one moment to another just got restarted and never power on again.
I've found several post talking about flash stock ROM using Odin, others says there are some kind of unbrick.img file somewhere (I can't find for this model atm) and so others but none will works for me since phone doesn't power on so my question is: is the phone really dead? There is nothing I can do in order to get it back? Why the PC recognizes it as QHSUSB_DLOAD and some places says there is a way to get phone back? Can any give me some help on this?
Thanks in advace

Hi everyone,
I have the exact same problem on a S4 mini, GT-I9195. A few days ago, it shut down while playing a video and refused to restart. I thought it was the battery, so a few hours later i changed the battery ... it booted again, but came back to life just for a minute, before shutting down again. Since that moment, nothing i tried succeded. When the phone is plugged to a PC, the computer sees a Qualcomm Device connected (it uses the "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" v2.1.2.2 driver, to be precise), as reynierpm mentionned, but nothing else.
Do you think it could be worth a try to change the motherboard or another hardware piece ?
Thanks for reading !
i have the same problems, need a solution
i have same problem
Is there a way to recover data by switching a "memory chip" from a defective motherboard to a new one ?
i got the same issue with that S4 Mini
i found the tool "emmcdl" that it is supposed to dump the emmc into a file but when I try i got the error: Expecting SAHARA_END_TRANSFER but found: 0
i searched all of internet and maybe it could be the wrong programmer file (firehose) used within the tool
then i tried with other programmer files, like 8916, 8976, 8936... but i got always the same error
So:
- what is the right firehose programmer files for Samsung i9195 ??
- am i missing some other things related this "Sahara" ??
- is there another way to make a dump of emmc ??
Dear all. I have a note II that has gone wild. The phone was working fine but then I received a note 4 and put the note 2 aside. Then I was trying to install root and was able to do so by installing TWRP V2.8.3 and everything went smooth and the phone was rooted. I then used the phone for a while but switched to the note 4 after. Now, 5 months after, I wanted to check something on my olde note II. I charged the phone and switched it on but it was stuck on the Galaxy note II screen I rebooted then rebooted but still the same. I went in the TWRP recovery to try to do something but I was not able to because it says that it cant mount storage, cant mount efs, cant mount data, cant mount cache and cant mount system.
Then I have decided to install the firmware image from zipped file but that did not work as it sees that the internal and external storags are 0 and cant mount them.
Then I opted to try and install the firmware PDA through Odin but that also did not work as Odin was not able to detect the phone. Now I'm clueless and not sure what to do the only thing I'm able to do is boot in TWRP recovery and that is all. Can any one help.
My phone had the latest official rom from samsung the 4.4.2
Please help
classic, just search. there is a thread with tutorial how to get your n2 back to life. you could also have sds, but try different odin and flash with pit
Ok now I'm in a worse situation. I have managed to get to the download mode and connected it to ODIN and tried to flash with the stock rom but at the end of the writing process it failed and started to get a message on the phone to connect my device to kies and try again. I tried that but did not do anything. Then I tried Odin again but this time I unticked the auto reboot. then clicked start. The same thing happened as before and writing failed now though my phone is blank it does not show anything and it does not want to turn on and no LED that is turning on nor the charging icon. I searched the net and someone suggested that the battery is damaged. I replaced the battery but still no go. Please I really need to get that phone back alive. I think I bricked it. any ideas or directions to help me with this annoying case. I cant even boot to recovery nor download please help

Odin dont detect Phone in Download mode, right?
So test another USB hub or an other or Official Samsung USB connector.. When nothing work try another PC and Flash the Firmware in PDA.

As I said when I remove the battery and insert it back the phone remains blank no response to any button pressed.
What I did is that my phone was stuck on opening screen samsung screen. Then someone suggested to flash it with the stock rom. So I went to Sammobile site and downloaded the latest firmware. I tried to install it to my phone using ODIN and just before the end. ODIN failed. I tried it the second time and the same happened. then the third time I read that I have to untick auto reboot. I did and tried ODIN for the 3rd time and on the third trial I got the same fail message and then I wanted to boot into download mode for the forth time but this time the phone went dead and not responding to any button press. I hope that this explains the situation
Hmmm.. That Sounds really tricky.. Never saw a Device before thats so bricked.. When really nothing worked from this Forum may you let an expert give a look on your Phone, i know some official Samsung shops, maybe they can help.. Sry that i cant hell you like you want it and sry for my Bad English.. Good Luck with your Note 2

No worries bro. At least you are trying. I have never seen this before either and I'm stumped and where I'm I dont think I can find any samsung pro shop. All what they are going to say is the motherboard is dead and you need to change it. I do have another phone but I hate it when a devise does this to me
Samsung SM-T800 is basically a paperweight.
Out the outset, let me just say that I have already:
-voided my warranty and tripped KNOX (it was rooted before all of this happened)
-Tried different USB ports and USB cables
-Tried different USB drivers
My PC won't recognize it, and I have tried Universal Drivers, and Samsung USB drivers, which means Odin and ADB can't help
I can only boot into download mode
When I tr to boot into recovery, I get the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" message
And to add insult to injury, I can't even turn the damned thing off. Every "battery pull" (Power+Volume down) leads back to "Firmware upgrade encountered an error" message
I have been wrestling with this thing for 2 days already, scouring these forums. And every one ends with "Oh I just reloaded my stock ROM with Odin" ARGHHHHH!
Thanks in advance
OK I'm gonna start off by saying I'm trying to help you. If you get smart and angry then I'll leave you to it.
Why am I saying this? Because I've been down this road many times with people saying this that and the other doesn't work when in the end in most cases it turns out to be user error and I can tell you're frustrated.
I've read your post regarding what you've tried but you're still gonna have to bear with it if you want help.
The first thing I need to ask is, you know the difference between download mode and recovery mode? No I'm not trying to treat you like an idiot.
Sometimes the firmware error can be cleared by booting to recovery and wiping cache.
How did you end up in this scenario?
If the above doesn't work the first thing you need to do is put the tablet in download mode.
Connect the USB cable, navigate to device manager, look for something along the lines of Samsung mobile USB composite device under USB devices.
If you see an exclamation mark instead then you will have to manually install the USB composite driver.
Once you see that device listed you are ready to use odin in download mode.

First of all, thanx for the reply. I appreciate, and i probably shouldn't have written the post after being up all night and bieng pissed...probably came off a little snarky...
Having said all of that, yeah, I'm definitely in download mode:
(on screen right now)
ODIN MODE
Product Name: SM-T800
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x0000)
AP SWREV: A1
[Picture of Android icon]
Downloading...Do not turn off target
So, that bit is sorted out
UPDATE: I did not have my SD card in the tablet before...now I put it in and I got the "USB devices not recognized"
I go to Device Manager, find the device with the yellow exclamation, right click,
"Update driver software"
"Browse computer for driver software:
Navigate to "Program Files/Samsung/USB Drivers"
The best software for your device is already installed
Any suggestions?
And again, apologies for sounding like a jerk before
"
UPDATE 2
OK, so I took another swig at it..
downloaded "Samsung USB Driver V1..5.59"
Rebooted
Opened ODIN
[Added]
Started reinstaling firmware
[Removed]
ODIN lost connection and I got the "USB device not recognized message" again
Used a cpl different ports, no change
I am wondering if maybe it is a battery issue at this point? Because as I stated before, I havent been able to turn the tablet off...
Either it is in download mode, or it is in "FIrmware upgrade encountered an issue" on screen
Thanks in advance

OK this looks like you have the driver installed so you shouldn't have the exclamation mark in device manager.
You can however install the driver manually.
Right click the device with exclamation mark, choose browse my computer, let me pick from a list of drivers. Look for Samsung Mobile CDC composite device, click next.
Driver should now install.
There are several reasons for the USB not recognized error. Most common is a bad USB cable, bad USB port or driver conflicts.
Ensure the ports are native and not an add-on card.
I suggest a completely different cable first.
Whatever happens don't move the device or cable when flashing.
Also get some charge in the device with the stock charger.
If you still get issues installing the stock Firmware then I suggest trying to install my latest build of TWRP.
With this we have more options and can install the stock Firmware with it.
Thanks for response
Ok, I used a totally different laptop and ODIN worked fine, I dunno what the deal was...but now i have a different problem...
I seem to be stuck in a "Wifi Turning on..." loop
The Wifi never comes on though
I have seen other posts about this, but they all seems to come back to " factory reset" (which I did two more times today) or verify the date on the device (which I have also done)
Is it possible to download a radio image ONLY? Because I am wondering if that is the problem....

Most likely a baseband issue.
You need to use the correct firmware for your device and region.
Did you flash the whole firmware?
Yeah, downloaded the whole firmware
Couldn't find version for USA proper...ended up using XEF (which is France I think)
Build number LRX22G.T800XXU1BOCC (Lollipop)

Unfortunately, still didn't work as far as getting the WiFi and Bluetooth working.
I refrlashed the firmware
Did a cpl factory resets
Still nothing
I'm thinking I should root it and see if some file permissions are screwed up or something. ..
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using XDA-Developers mobile app
UPDATE: I rooted with CF AutoRoot and installed Custom recovery TWRP
did another factory reset
and still no Wifi/Bluetooth
I'm out of ideas at this point....

Did the wifi work before you obtained this device?
If all partitions flashed successfully then the wifi should be working.
What is your baseband build number reported as in settings?
Also check your IMEI no.
If that is the default IMEI instead of the original then someone may have trashed the EFS partition.
By the way are you certain this is a t800 and not a t805 or t807?
The Wifi went out a few days ago, tried a factory reset first
Then I remembered the last time this happened I did a firmware re-flash to fix it
It was during the re-flash where I ran into problems and I came to the forum.
I attached a screenshot. Model definitely SM-T800, but no IMEI and no Baseband build...
Thanks!

Baseband probably doesn't show because it's wifi only model.
However it's strange there is no Status page.
You can get this info using an app called Samsung phone info on play.

Ironically, with no WIfi access...hahahahaa....
I will try to find the apk and sideload it
I sideloaded the Samsung phone info app...
Attached screenshots of the tablet info
What's immediately apparent is no IMEI number. This is a problem.
Is your EFS folder accessible?
