Honestly I'm trying to figure out hoe would I know if i have a retail edition or a developer edition? I've been searching and all I've found is that the retail can only be used with Verizon yet my phone is unlocked n can be used with other providers which made me kind of curious to find out. Is it something I can find that will tell me?
Thanks in advance!
To tell if you have a retail or Developer Edition look at your SKU number inside the phone (under the battery). Example: my retail version says SMN910VZKE
Retail - SM-N910VZKEVZW
D.E. - SM-N910VMKEVZW
Found that info here http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...438-cf-auto-root-verizon-note-4-sm-n910v.html

I just bought another galaxy s4 mini 9195 since the old one was stolen and I want to know how can I know specifically which region my device comes from (which country, telecom, etc.)? I need to know in order to know the right firmware to download from samsung-updates for example. Is there a way to find this out specifically from the phone? I bought it in the US but it's obviously from somewhere in Europe, I'm guessing Italy but I want to know if there is an accurate way to find out.
Thanks!
Just install app "phone info samsung" from store and check it out.

I received a Verizon Note 4 in a trade and I am wondering if it is possible that it is a developer edition. How would I go about finding out?

Developer model Number SM-N910VMKEVZW it will be on the label under the battery. if it's just SM-N910V then it's retail.
Please help!
On the label under the battery write model: SM-N910V SKU:SMN910VZWE FCC ID:A3LSMN910V
it's developer or retail edition?
If you did not purposely buy the developer edition from samsung and got the phone from anywhere else, its retail.

Hi,
I want to buy an HTC 10 through eBay or Amazon to save money. I don't want an international version because I understand that it can't use AT&T or Cricket LTE networks. The eBay and Amazon ads hardly ever say whether the phone for sale is a U.S. version or international version. Can anyone tell me how to identify the U.S. version of the phone, whether by UPC, model number or whatever?
Thanks

You might be able to find out from htc using the info you mentioned. They have a live chat, you could find out in a couple mins.

Get a close up photo of the back. US models in small lettering on the bottom say "Model: 2PS6500" International will say "2PS6200"
You could also ask for the IMEI (you should do this anyway to make sure the phone isn't blacklisted), and check it with ESN Checker which you can find here.
Thank You Both,
That's good advice. I am almost certain I saw one that was the htc2ps6500 version.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a Pixel and I'm wondering if it's possible to unlock the bootloader and root an international model. I want to be able to do these things so just looking to verify that they're possible before I buy an international model. Anyone done it? Haven't had any luck when searching. Thanks for any help.

Google store is BL unlockable, Verizon is not since they're annoying like that
Thanks, I'm definitely staying away from the Verizon ones for that reason but what I'm asking about is the international model. It's a different model number and has different bands but I'm wondering if it's still BL unlockable like the Google Play version.
Yes, I'm running the international model unlocked and rooted.
Tbh I think the international and Google edition are the same. Been searching for a while, can't find anything to indicate they aren't.
It seems in the USA, to differentiate between carrier locked and unlocked phones sold directly by Google, as well as marketing and branding purposes, Google simply calls the unlocked edition in the USA Google edition instead. The international edition already ships unlocked.
They're the same otherwise for all intents and purposes.
Anyone know where I can find a non-verizon model? I purchased one on ebay with photos showing it was 4 barcodes and I asked the seller to be safe, only to find they weren't actually selling unlocked models and just verizon models with pictures of unlocked.
Go to swappa, and ask the seller to give you the output from http://www.imeipro.info/check_lg.html, make sure they use LG check.
