Hi all, I Bought Xiaomi Hybrid IEM headset to use with the phone, and encountered a weird issue. The person I talk to says that there's a background noise and that maybe the mic is too sensitive. When I'm outside there's a 'sssssss' sound in the background and you can hear an ambulance from 20 miles away. When I unplug the headset and talk regularly to the phone the sound becomes crystal clear. Any ideas? Thanks

I just got this headset today. Callers were complaining that they couldn't hear me over the background noise.
Headset seems ok. I tried transferring the contacts to the headset. But after I do, when I make a call, the in-call volume is silent. When I disconnect, I hear the Q2 say "call terminated." But during the call, there's no ringing and I can't hear the other caller.
I resetted the headset, re-paired and cancelled the automatic phonebook transfer. Dialing and in-call volume seems ok now.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
Ive had the Q2 for about 2 months now and no issues, Got mine off eBay brand new, used it on my LG Optimus S and my Current EVO with several different roms and never had an issue. Maybe yours could be defective?
I have had the Q2 since it came out and have no complaints from people I talked with while using it. You might want to check the settings menu. Also if you call Blueants CS expect to wait up to an hour to get through, Rick
EDIT: Sorry , it looks like you did check the setting menu. oops
does your q2 speak caller id not phone numbers during call?
mine doesnt
how did you get it to work
m using desire s by the way
thanks
I returned the BlueAnt Q2 to Frys. Callers said the noise cancellation on the BlueAnt was really bad, especially at the mall and other noisy places.
I have the Jawbone Era now. Just picked it up from Best Buy for $130 today. I tested it at home with a floor fan and TV on at full blast while on a call. The caller on the other end said they couldn't hear anything in the background with the Jawbone Era. I also like the louder ear volume and faster recharge time (only 1 hr vs 3-4 hrs for the BlueAnt).
Other bluetooth headsets in the past:
- Voyager 510: volume too low, no noise cancellation
- Voyager Pro: volume too low
- Motorola S305: good for music, no noise cancellation for the mic
I saw some ear buds at AT&T with a micro usb connection for $19. I might give them I try to see if I can get stereo when connecting to the Jawbone Era (I know you can with the Samsung Modus 6450). I'll have to do more research.
Good to know, been debating between these two. Been using the Jawbone Icon as well as the Blueant Q1.
As far as the headphones goes, I'm listening with my Jawbone Era connected via bluetooth and a circumaural (closed ear) headphones on top of the Jawbone. Sound quality sounds terrific despite having my Jawbone on.
When music is on, the music plays through stereo headphones if they're plugged into the stereo jack. Otherwise the plays through the Jawbone. On a call, the Evo stops the music and only audio is heard through the Jawbone.
Haven't run into accidental misdials with the stereo headphones on. On a call though, the stereo headphones presses the Jawbone into my face, so listening to the other caller sounds slightly muffled until I take off the stereo headphones.
Hello.
The Skullcandy FIX Bud headphones are the best headphones I've ever owned, however these headphones don't work with SGS3 (when trying dialing or answering a call, SGS3 looses connection to headphones, many apps don't even see the headphones at all, like skype. They work fine on SGS2...I've contacted Samsung regarding this and reply I got was basically saying "**** off")
So now I'm looking for wired headphones that have good sound quality (decent bass and not piercing high pitched sounds) with working mic (volume buttons are not necessary, but wouldn't hurt to have)
Noise canceling type (aka in-ear) are out of question, can't stand these. Also tried iphone type and they didn't have enough bass for my taste.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.
I got my Galaxy Nexus yesterday. I've noticed that there are fairly noticeable hissing and static-y noises in the background when I use the headphones either when playing music or making phone calls. I tried different headphones, from cheap headphones to expensive in-ear-monitors, but the same thing persists. I wonder if any of you guys have similar issues. Thanks!
Sometimes during calls I hear a hissing / crackling noise, as if the other partys voice is getting distorted.
A restart of the phone solves the problem temporarily.
Anyone else has the same issue or knows of a fix?

On a related note, can you report on the experience of taking a call on the G3 when the audio is run through your car stereo via aux? Can the other caller hear your voice well, even when there is some noise from the car moving? Do they hear any echo from their own voice being played over the car speakers?
Low crackling noise in headset on LG G3
When making call through the headset speaker there is a very low almost electrical sounding crackle in the back ground. Callers don't hear it just me. On speaker phone or in Bluetooth in car I don't hear it. It's present during every phone call. I bought 2 LG G3's, and black and a white for my wife and hers doesn't have this issue. All of her calls are very clear. Also today the G3 stopped recognizing my headphones, where as my work phone, a Galaxy SIII and my wife's it will. Some old iPhone ear buds work fine, I just think it's strange my newer ear buds stopped working and they still work in other phones. I have also had the phone just freeze while opening settings and making to phone call unfroze it.
My sennheiser headphones dont work very well with the 8.1. They work with every other phone I've had, but with this one the volume is too low and more importantly, the microphone quality is ****... It is too low, crackelly, traffic noise is audible above my voice... So I have to unplug my headphones to speak on a call. This is a massive problem for me, and is really agravating me right now.
Anyone know any solutions?
