Anyone know of an application that analyses how much battery apps and services are using and at what rate? Tried looking at "batterydog" and "drain-o-meter", the latter seems to be what I'm looking for, but the output isn't friendly enough for me to interpret.
Does the community have any ideas?

Does that tell you which app is using what percentage of battery? I don't think so, please read the question properly before answring!

I apologise tof9, sorry, you were right. I've looked at the Battery Usage screen a number of times and have never seen marketplace applications listed. I looked again and found Maps at 25%! So Maps is definitely a hog. I would like to get historic analysis of these stats, will look on marketplace now if something exists which does that...
Actually I have all apps there, including xda app

Im looking for a battery monitor app that I have seen posted on here before but can not find it again for the life of me. It shows screen on time and also tells you how much each specific app is draining your battery. +1 to anyone who could help me out. Thanks

Better Battery Stats. Do a search for it here on XDA. I'd post a link for you but I'm mobile and can't get my search to work right. :-(

battery spy is great in my opinion, also better batter stats, as well as battery monitor widget pro is cool. i would choose just one to run, if you don't want a lot of background processes

Default battery app included in GB and ICS does this.
Guys, in sleep mode, even with WiFi & Auto Sync OFF, the battery drains almost 10% through the whole night.
Last night it drained from 99% to 91% through the night without any usage.
Can someone throw some light on this issue?

2 possible scenarios: 1. You just sleep to much 2. You have a app installed (taskmanager battery saver?) that dont let your HOX sleep well

If it is just a widget and not a battery saver, then no, i dont think so. Are you sure it is just a widget?
Do you have some other system-tuner-apps installed ?

I don't believe so. I am not rooted and running stock everything.
EDIT: Oh, wait a minute. I just went through the list of apps that I've downloaded, and I have an app called Lookout. Here is the link:

Hello, betterbatterystats is one of the most useful apps to check what drains your battery.
Basically you only check "Process wakelocks" and see which application "wakes" too often your phone.
Charge your phone and just before going to sleep, remove the charger.
BetterBatteryStats will take this action to start logging wakelocks ( default behaviour )
and in the morning, open BBS and see what process use too many wakelocks.

@DanRZ, eyosen, thanks; however, I've never paid for apps. Isn't there something similar in the market, that does almost the same job as BBS?

Did a quick check but didn't see one.
I strongly believe paying for applications that really add value to your phone to help developers continue their apps. Compared to the time you save by finding out which app is consuming battery the price tag of the applications is next to nothing.
I used betterybatterystats and it showed me that bluetooth was enabled. No where else did it show this, i restarted the phone and its no longer enabled. worth downloading if you have issues with the battery!
Hi guys!
I have been reading the posts here for the past week now and some of the things i read are like disabling some sync to prevent lag in note II.
So i was hoping if anyone could reply to this thread on guiding what should i do when i first get my note II
Thanks!

You should buy an app called Better Battery Stats from Play Store. It will monitor your battery life so that if you do encounter problems with drain, you can identify which app or process causes it.
I say just use your phone normally at first. I haven't had any lagging with this phone. Then if you do have problems, post on XDA about it. Of course minimizing sync settings is always a good idea. Apps that constantly monitor for updates do cause battery drain and use the cpu. I mean things like facebook, google+ and so on. If you have those set to push updates and alerts to your phone live as they happen, you might experience battery drain and maybe lagging too.

Hey guys I am currently in Canada and I am using a DTMO device but I am certainly not getting the kind of battery I was hoping for...here is my setup:
Device is always on airplane mode as I am out of the country
Running SlimBean Build6
BMS Kernel (newest)
Kernel settings:
Fifo/interactive with min= 384000 and max= 756000. The interactive governor has a hispeed_freq of 594000
As you can see I have butchered the capability of my S3 for better battery life as I don't game or anything but I am only getting 2.5 hours of screen on time on Automatic Brightness :/ (AIRPLANE MODE)
I have attached BBS images
I forgot to say, I also use Greenify to hibernate like 10+ apps including Maps, Zedge , Tapatalk etc
I was really hoping to break the 4 or maybe even 5 hour screen on time with airplane mode, and any help would be greatly appreciated!!

He says he did greenify maps in the OP, weird that it's still so hi. I just force stop it when ever I'm done using those kinda apps, music as well... with Airplane mode on and everything you should get more than 5 hours screen on time, I've seen people get that with signal. Weird stuff... what are your cpu states? might be another app causing wakelocks
Hey guys thanks for the response! My cpu states in BBS are weird but I here is the one from both BBS and trickstermod!
That is crazy weird. I would FULL wipe system Factory Reset and caches and maybe even wipe sdcards after back up of things. Do not restore system apps from TiBu or what ever you use to restore things. That is not at all normal or what would cause your battery life.

Aw okay I suppose I should do that. Should I stick with the same Rom? SlimBean has been good to me but are there any others Rom/Kernel combos that are good/better than my current setup for battery life? RC5 of Cyanogenmod maybe?
Thanks again!
You say you Greenified Maps. But is it actually hibernated?

Thanks but I don't think thats the best solution. I have butchered my phone in terms of performance and now I have to disable/freeze one of the most important apps of Android? I don't know doesnt seem right to me :/ Phone is useless without maps
Just do what I said, I don't freeze my maps and it doesn't act like that so I suggest wipe and reinstall things normally. I wouldn't suggest a specific ROM I have run build 6 and didn't have any serious issues on stock kernel.

It's not a permanent solution. My theory is that another app you are using is forcing it to launch. This would explain why Greenify isn't helping.
Okay I'm downloading RootBox and BMS Kernel to see how things go on a fresh clean install with no apps (no maps) and test it overnight on airplane mode.
Aerowinder I am afraid you may be right, I'll have to double check that on the new formatted rom to see whats up. I'll post pics tomorrow once I leave it on overnight Thanks for the help thus far!
No problem. 10-1 its another app and more so it will be gone without maps and possibly back after you reinstall maps. The fun of playing with your phone lol.

Hey guys so I reinstalled slim bean with a clean install, greenified just about everything and have bms kernel running on interactive. It seems things are fine except the phone doesn't actually go into deep sleep so I lose 2% an hour on airplane mode which I feel is quite a lot! Herr is a bus! As you can see during the 5 hours or so I didn't use the phone, the phone is not in deep sleep! Help would be greatly appreciated!
