Same thing hapens when press the power button: the screen goes off promptly but when press again the power button it doesn't go on, until repeat this several times....Please help me, I don't want to revert back to kitkat ! Thank you.
Problem Solved
I had the same problem with my F240s. What i did was reverting back to stock kitkat and rooting my F240s and unlocked bootloader using freegee. After that i was able to flash customs lollipop roms. Am currently running Android 5.1.1(Blisspop) on my F240s without any problem.
After downgrading to kitkat you can root your F240s with towelroot apk(One click root method) requires internet connection tho or Follow this link http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699067

Dear All,
I have purchased LG F180 handset today in used condition. The previous user had VDT Rom-Choi Installed in it with android jelly bean 4.1.2 version and phone is having root access that I checked from root checker. Now I want to install Sling ROM version 2.2.2 but below are some issue which I came across while playing with my phone.
1. When I downloaded freegee from play store it is saying my device is not supported. Whereas when I checked from imei.info page below are the results;
Model: Swift G F180
Brand: LG
However the seller confirms me that It is F180L model
2. I am unable to get in Fastboot/revovery mode, I tried volume up+power button but nothing happen LG logo blink twice and device powered off. Then I restarted my device and back to the home screen.
As per the guides available Here we can unlock boot loader and install CWM by freegee.. as mentioned below;
6.Q: How do I unlock the bootloader?
A: It’s easy, using FREEGEE app from playstore. Both free and donate apps work. But I suggest using the paid app, to thanks Shelnutt2 for his wonderful work. He deserves a beer.
The reason of buying this handset is this ROM... I have purchased this handset with so much hope.. But when I came across to the above mentioned things.. I am a bit worried.. Please help me resolve this.. so I can able to get the ROM which I liked most.
First of all your bootloader is already unlocked you can't flash a custom rom with locked bootloader so if you have vdt you are unlocked the best thing to do is download cwm manager from playstore and flash cwm if nothing happens you should consider flashing kds for installing the original software back again and start from scratch root phone using framaroot and unlock bootloader using freegee then you‘ll have the latest mako bootloader unlocked and the latest custom recovery cwm or twrp and you could flash anything you want.
Thank you soo much.. I have done it

OTA update ur is to latest... Don't forget to Factory reset after each update. Stock KitKat update will make ur app data partition to 2GB. Then u can Sling 2.2.2 or MC Dev V7

I was trying to root my phone but was running MM 6.0 so I had to downgrade to LP first. I tried downgrading using LGUP tool, but when it finished, I get stuck on the LG logo without access to download mode or recovery mode! Yes I tried the power+vol buttons.
Any help is appreciated!
EDIT:
I used Canada TELUS H81210F.kdz when trying to downgrade to LP using LGUP found here: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/Canada+H812/

I have been trying to root my LG G3 D852 on 6.0 mm, i have found that there is nothing out for that yet. I know know that have to downgrade and I have tried but since I'm on virgin mobile so the downgrade file I tried to use bricked my phone so i had to send it back to LG to get it fixed. Is there any other way to downgrade or root without bricking my phone again?
Thanks
Same problem...

Hmmm. I had the same problem as you did with my G3. Same model and everything. Tried to downgrade it using my computer. Can't remember what tool, but it said it completed successfully. When it went to reboot, it would stay on the LG logo for 15-30 seconds, before going to the broken android screen. After a few minutes, it would reboot. Could enter into the recovery menu from the broken android screen, but when I tried to bump the files or flash a rom, there was nowhere on the phone to store it. I think it removed the partitions during the flash, hence why it couldn't store the files. It's not that I didn't have permission, but it showed in the console that there was no directory to mount. Couldn't even charge the phone in the state it was in. Guess it relied on the OS to control the charging. I'll probably try to simulate the phone, with the stock OS, and see if I can find any exploits that could allow for a "safer" rooting method. Tell me if you find anything yourself!
Hi guys,
I have a problem I need some advice for. A year ago, I purchased my Amami for the purpose of GPS-navigation on my bicycle. It always worked fine and I was able to charge it with my dynohub without any issues. The charging is giving me a headache now though, and all troubleshooting points at the phone being the problem.
Now, a couple months ago I decided to ditch 4.4 and go for a custom ROM (I've tried Oreo and Pie) which worked fine, but the phone doesn't charge as well as it used to on my bike. I'd like to go back to stock to see if that's what is causing the issue and used the Xperia Flashtool to revert to a stock image, but the ones that used to work on the phone now give me bootloops after I've flashed TWRP and ResurrectionRemix and Lineage OS.
Is there anything I need to know before I flash a stock firmware with the tool? Any input would be appreciated.
Sounds like to have not updated to Lolipop and therefore you do not have real recovery. Is your bootloader unlocked? Then you can try EMMA to update to Lollipop.

My bootloader is unlocked, I have TWRP installed and am currently running Lineage OS (Android 8). It doesn't matter if I flash Sony's original Kitkat or Lollipop; both will have bootloops. No offense, but I'm not sure you understood my original post: I'd like to go back to an old stock ROM, because 4.4 is the one that I'm sure have me no trouble with charging on my bike.
Proper BL relock:

If you use twrp in fotakernel partition maybe necassary to write back original fotakernel.sin (inside stock.ftf) before relock with flashtool. Remember! After relock with flastool the new BL unlock key here: DEVICESERIAL \ unlock.txt
I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to upgrade the Android O/S but none of them mentioned that it needs to unlock the bootloader 1st.
So before I found out that I need to unlock it I tried installing ROM before I knew that.
The phone came with Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and there is an official Lollipop for it that I want to install.
The device is rooted with Kingroot.
I tried the installations two times and the phone still works but I can no longer boot into recovery mode or fastboot mode. It just hangs and then I need to remove the battery to get it to work again.
I just want to restore it back to what it was before and then I will work on unlocking the bootloader.
I prefer to use tools that are free of cost.
Issue has been resolved.
I flashed the device with a pac file using SPD upgrade tool and now all is back to default.

You meant un-official, right?
Sorry for the delay. I check the linked email once per month.
Do you still need help on this?
I thought that it was official Lollipop. But it does not exist for this phone.
Yes I can help you get it to what ever you need but it is not easy if you want to do more than just resorted it back to default.
I will tell you more if you still need it.
