Hello, my Xperia Z1 Compact has big battery drain, so I wanted to check status of the battery. So I went to the Service Tests to check battery state, and there was no "Battery" test, also, there was no "Pressure test". The final thing is most curious, when I went to "Users" tab in settings, i saw just me (my profile), but it was called:
Me (Κάτοχος)
I tried to repair phone via PC Companion (14.6.A.1.236 / R4D here) - no changes. Could someone explain me what is wrong with my phone?
Pressure test was only implemented in the new xperia line up Z2 and up

Hi,
after updating my arc to 2.3.3 i´ve a problem with my battery. the arc is running very well but there´s a big jump from 20% to 1% in just one minute. is there a chance to recalibrate my battery?
i´ve tried three times to let the phone shut down and reload but the problem still exists.
what can i do?
Try turning the phone off and removing the battery and re-inserting.
This seemed to sort the same issue I had (30% > 1% then shutdown).
so after removing the battery the phone must be without for some time?
It seems that battery drain is one of the most common issues to xperia Arc. I just bought this sexy one about last week and also encountered this problem. After doing some soul-searching and experiences, here are the key factors that help u guys alot, bcoz it works for me:
+ You don't need to get your phone rooted as the other recommended, all you need to do is reflashing your rom to the generic one. I'd recommend the O2 generic rom and Global generic rom. Bcoz they don't have rubbish software (bloat ware)running in system background and consuming your battery like hell.
+ Turn of 3g, wifi, bluetooth and location services, only turn them on whenever you need internet access. You could add the power status widget up to manage them easier.
+ The battery itself will improve day by day, it might need a week from the time you bought the phone to have its maximum capacity (it's true)
So, with my light-weight use a day, i normally get my phone worked up at least 2 days without recharging
P.S: sorry if my english get you guys confused :|
Hi all,
I´ve got the Xperia SL five days ago, my last phones were Xperia U and Xperia x10 mini pro.
I´m shocked with its battery draining, I unplug the phone at 7:00 AM and reconect to charge at midnight. I am using wi-fi almost all the time, and some 3G data were wi-fi does not connect. Battery remains about 10% at this point, but I don´t know why the service "SIM Contact" gets about 60% of all use. (screenshot 1 - in the morning)
Is this correct? I´am used to know "Screen" draining most of all resources.
I´m am on stock rom .45, rooted, unlocked, with Arakmar kernel (advanced stock kernel). (screenshot 2)
I´d appreciate some more information.
Thanks in advance,
Alexandre
PS. I´ve saw this guy is experiencing the same thing in Xperia Tipo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124429
I set up my Xperia service but I later disabled it. But in the Power management under Battery usage i still see my Xperia as the prime power consumer of the energy (68% - mostly GPS). When I force stop service it keeps turning on.
Anyone with the same problem? How can I disable my Xperia service completely?
Hey guys!
So I just bough a brand new Z1 compact but battery seems to be draining a lot even if the phone is idle. I have updated to the latest kitkat .157 build and have performed a repair of the OS through sony companion but the problem persists.
Stamina mode is always on, location is off, brightness is close to the lowest setting and auto sync is off. The phone has stayed mostly iddle except occasional browsing, facebooking and mild gaming.
Is this normal? What should I do?

Poor reception seems to be the cause. The phone consumes more power to keep the signal. This happens on every phone. I don't think thats excessive battery drain
Hope this helps.
You can install g Sam battery monitor and check there whats cause the problem in my case from yesterday my phone is keeping awake and main process is kernel I need to flash whole rom today via flashtool because ovee night my battery drop about 15% and wakelock detector doesnt detect anything
After some googling I found THIS which has helped me, I've also disabled Google Location Manager Service & Google Location service as they were running all the time, not sure off the knock on effect just yet as I only disabled them last night.
Hi Guys,
Model: Sony Xperia Z1 Compact D5503
Android Version: 5.1.1
Build: 14.6.A.1.236
So I've noticed a curious glitch with my Z1 Compact; every now and again my phone shows 'No Service' on the lock screen despite the phone actually having near enough to full network signal. When this occurs I notice that my battery takes a lot longer to drain... Which is great! It's happened to me about 9 times since the latest software update.
On a normal day where it DOES NOT say 'No Service' - my battery drains from 100% to around 30%.
When my lock screen DOES show 'No Service' - my battery drains from 100% to around 70% in the same time period & usage.
So my hypothesis, however crazy it may sound, is that somehow showing 'No Service' on the lock screen seems to stop a non-critical process from occurring which is resulting in prolonged battery life?
Im just wondering if anyone else has come across this 'glitch' and why I'm getting much longer use out of my phone when it's showing 'No Service'.
Im new to this forum so please let me know if you need any more information!
Thanks,
