[Q] my Xperia service working without my permission? - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I set up my Xperia service but I later disabled it. But in the Power management under Battery usage i still see my Xperia as the prime power consumer of the energy (68% - mostly GPS). When I force stop service it keeps turning on.
Anyone with the same problem? How can I disable my Xperia service completely?

If you check out the xperia Z forum. People who enable stamina mode are able to go 9-10 hours idling and remain at 100% battery.

This is stamina mode:
- disable data
- disable automatic sync.
And there you have it!

i never on data and sync but still lost 2-3% on 4-5 hours of idle...maybe it prevent any 3rd party apps or some system apps running on background except important apps...

Well... That's not true. I used to own a Xperia Z and went to the nexus 5. I really miss the stamina mode. It switches off data and autosync when you turn off the screen with the very important exception of user selected apps. That means Whatsapp will still work. It also pauses all but selected apps that run in the background when the screen is turned off. All is turned back on when you switch on the screen, instantly turning data and Wi-Fi back on and syncing email. Besides that, it also switches Wi-Fi on when in range of known Wi-Fi networks and off when your location says your out of range. It really helped saving battery, without losing ease of use and of the few things I do miss of the Xperia Z, this I miss most! I actually think Google should take a good look at stamina mode and consider putting stamina or something like it standard in android.

Excessive Battery Drain

Hey guys!
So I just bough a brand new Z1 compact but battery seems to be draining a lot even if the phone is idle. I have updated to the latest kitkat .157 build and have performed a repair of the OS through sony companion but the problem persists.
Stamina mode is always on, location is off, brightness is close to the lowest setting and auto sync is off. The phone has stayed mostly iddle except occasional browsing, facebooking and mild gaming.
Is this normal? What should I do?

Poor reception seems to be the cause. The phone consumes more power to keep the signal. This happens on every phone. I don't think thats excessive battery drain
Hope this helps.
You can install g Sam battery monitor and check there whats cause the problem in my case from yesterday my phone is keeping awake and main process is kernel I need to flash whole rom today via flashtool because ovee night my battery drop about 15% and wakelock detector doesnt detect anything
After some googling I found THIS which has helped me, I've also disabled Google Location Manager Service & Google Location service as they were running all the time, not sure off the knock on effect just yet as I only disabled them last night.

Lg G3 Massive Battery Drain from bam_dmux_wakelock (Pics Included)

Alright everyone,
Some details about my phone before we begin-
I am a moderate user. I play some games, check emails, text and that's about it.
My phone is NOT rooted and obviously I am not running a custom rom, or a alternate launcher, and I haven't really modified many if at all any settings.
So, that being said I am experience some sever kernel wake lock issues form bam_dmux_wakelock for the past week or so. As you see in my picture, 6 out of my 7 hours of up time (off charger) has been kept from deep sleep, therefore destroying my battery time.
Today I have maybe 30-40 minutes total of screen on time, but not nearly the 6 hours of non deep sleep time.
I've turned off "okay google" detection, disabled wifi when screen is off, restricted background data for youtube, disabled google + (I don't use social media) and my brightness is on auto mode, typically around 35% when the screen is on.
If google can see this I would like to offer them a huge F you for changing the permission architecture so that gplay apps cant detected whats causing the wake-lock without root. They are pretty much forcing us to root our phones to access features locked meanwhile continuing to call android "Open Source"
Can anyone give me a recommendation on what are my options? Or should I really just root my phone, which I don't want to do (I have in the past but I haven't needed too with the G3 since it has everything I want without root)
I don't think it's Google's fault if LG makes a sucks kernel. Anyway, bam_dmux seems to be related to radios. Could it be that during those wake locks you were in an area where there is weak signal? Are you still experiencing this error after a reboot of the phone?

I've reset the phone multiple times, and have also cleared the cache from the bootloader as well. I don't have a weak signal in my area; also the radio interface is a separate wake lock code from bam_dmux. From what I read bam_dmux has to do with google background services.
Bump

Google location service may be running in the background to much too long.

I don't see a google location service only the Verizon Location Agent; there are two other services called "LocationServices" under All in my application manager, and they are both listed at being 0.00 bytes in size (?) I force stopped those anyways along with the verizon location agent which restarted anyways. I also have location completely off in my quick menu from the pull down bar, I only turn it on when I'm using GPS.

[Q] Google Service draining battery

Anyone experiencing Google Service draining battery life like crazy? I had to turn off my Auto Sync for it to calm down. Also sometimes it force closes, especially on below 5.1. It also happens on my Xperia Z1 Compact too. I also made sure I updated all my Google apps.

Help problem with wifi direct is keeps on and kill battery in3 hours

I have a really serious problem with my Z5 premium dual. When i just turn on wifi and connect it normally, my other device will find a stupid "DIRECT-XX-XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM DUAL" wifi on the list, like it always turn on everytime when i just turn on my wifi in spite of i never use it once!! Trying to fimd how to turn it off and never success dont wanna do factory reset my device. The problem is it seems running in background and device heat like **** and battery drain like hell. Anyone knows how to just turn off the once and for all
Same with me... DIRECT-**-Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact ...even with WiFi off.
I only manage to keep that annoyance at bay if I turn off WiFi then activate Stamina Mode.
This started happening lately about a week or two ago.
