Hello everyone!
I've been trying for several days to solve a problem with my brother's P6 and I have not found the solution yet, so now I seek expert help here.
The smartphone is a Ascend P6-U06, it had installed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...8-kangvip-tools-integrated-repackbbn-t2986681 and TWRP recovery (v2.8.1.0.) Worked fine until one of these days, the battery got completely discharged and then started the following problems:
The device is able to power on but gets stuck on Huawei - "Powered by Android" bootanimation.
TWRP can't install another rom or make Wipes, displays the following error: unable to stat / data / ...
It is not possible to format partitions from TWRP or Fastboot.
I tried to install the stock recovery from Fastboot. It is supposedly achieved, but the recovery on the device is still TWRP.
I erased the recovery partition, TWRP is still there.
When trying to flash system.img (stock rom), Fastboot says the archive is too big and stop the process.
I honestly don't know what else try. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.
I would suggest either twrp 2.8.6.0 or chinese recovery.

I tried to flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 on fastboot, I got the OK message but TWRP 2.8.1.0 was not removed. I also flashed the zip file from TWRP 2.8.1.0 and got the "unable to stat/data/..." error again. Nothing changed.
I will look for a chinese recovery and try again. Thanks for the tip

Hello,
I would like to ask you to give me an advice to solve my problem.
Where I was:
1. Ascend P6 with TWRP 2.7.0.0 and OmniROM 4.4.3. Phone was functional.
What I have done:
1. In TWRP I flashed TWRP 2.7.1.0 zip - it went OK, no errors etc. Reboot. System was OK.
2. Turned off mobile and again booted into TWRP (it showed as I expected 2.7.1.0).
3. Then I tried to install new OmniRom 4.4.4. - I followed the instructions in the thread how to install it (not just update!). Everything seems to be OK. Then wipe cache/dalvik. Tried to reboot, but mobile "told" me, that it is not rooted and asked me, if I want to root it. I confirmed it, but right after I made the confirmation, mobile rebooted.
4. Mobile stuck on Huawei Ascend logo.
What I can I do now:
1. I am able to boot into TWRP 2.7.1.0. I have omni 4.4.4, Gapps 4.4.2 and SuperSu 2.00 on my external SD card. I tried to wipe and install the ROM 2 or 3 times, but everytime the result is the same - instalation is succesfull, reboot and mobile will stuck on Ascend logo.
2. adb shows device offline. When I connect the phone to PC while beeing in TWRP, adb shows "device recovery"
I have no idea what is the cause of this problem - propably I shouldnt update TWRP to 2.7.1.0 version through flashing the .zip file, I dont know ....
Any suggestions?
p.s. sorry for the english

I cant even boot in TWRP.. the logo of TW flashes from time to time but cant go in.. any suggestions?
Here's what I did to fix my issue:
- Restored original B510 recovery (flash recovery.img and boot.img from the original B510 rom, it's inside the TWRP thread...)
- Added the B132 update to my external SD card. (Create a folder /dload/ and add the UPDATE.APP file to it)
- Started the phone in recovery mode by by pressing volume up + volume down + power
- Updated to B510 again via update.zip in the /dload/ folder
After that I did not install TWRP or any other custom rom as B510 is the perfect ROM for me atm anyway...
I've recently flashed the latest twrp on my oneplus3 a3003 through fastboot. All fine, I flashed the cyanogenmod 14.1 and the gapps 7.1 over the oxygen os. Now I tried to boot into recovery to flash the pixelfy zip file, but I found out that I can't access recovery mode. All I get is boot logo and the capacitive buttons illuminated for a while, then the screen goes off and I have to press the power button for 6/7 seconds. I tried reflashing the recovery.img through the terminal and no result, I tried through TWRP manager, it says successful but the result is still the same. Ah, before installing the twrp I hard bricked the device and I unbricked it, so to me it's like a corrupted partition. Is there a way to restore twrp (or to restore the recovery partition, still being able to flash twrp) without losing data? If no, is there a way to restore it to a funcional state without having to use qualcomm drivers? If no, is there a way to restore it to a funcional state AND keep it that way?
I solved it. Basically the cm14.1 version was blocking twrp or any other recovery aside from the cm recovery. I found a fixed version of the twrp somewhere.

Here you go.
Hi fellow G4 owners I have ran into quite a bothersome and weird issue after flashing a recent nightly of CM 13.1 on my g4 , I realized I couldn't boot into my twrp anymore , it seems to boot in what I think is the phone's factory recovery only displaying a few lines of text that are all related to the my bootloader's unlocked status .... Ive tried reflashing the recovery many time through flashify and adb , it doesn't change anything ....
Hoping anyone has already had that problem and could help. Cheers

Try
fastboot boot twrp.img
If you see twrp push the twrp image to your device and choose image at the bottom and flash twrp to recovery
Btw Download and use the latest twrp

Will try this and report !
Sadly it boots to the screen I was talking about in my previous post which actually happens to be fastboot not factory recovery my bad.
I did some flashing , apparently when trying to flash the latest recovery the flashing goes well but then I get an error saying there is a dtb error, I am unable to even boot it through fastboot.
I managed to flash twrp's 2.8.7.0 version but again if rebooting to recovery through adb command it takes me to the same fastboot screen however I am able to boot to this version of the recovery via fastboot commands and that's the only way I can actually reach a recovery .....
Hoping that helps in any way for other peeps in the same situation , I'm gonna try to flash a more recent rom will report once done !

Oh How do you try to get into recovery??? Which key combo?
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs
The volume key power button combo strangely never worked on my G4 I use either the advanced reboot on the phone or through ADB.
I just flashed the lasted cm 14.1 nightly after flashing an older twrp and booting into it , with that version I can boot into twrp with no problem but after flashing the latest twrp the problem reappeared .... This is so weird :/

The only valid and always working and supported way on getting with a key combo into twrp is using the factory reset screen.
Any other key combo like vol up + power depends on the kernel of the ROM! So it may work or not. Factory reset will work always.
for this you have to ensure that you have the latest twrp version really installed(!) because if twrp sits in recovery it will ignore the factory reset command when going through it.
Edit:
Check the faq in the official twrp thread for a howto.

Hi, I flashed the FOTA Kernel with TWRP 2.8.7 onto my phone and inside TWRP I flashed the recovery with the 3.0.2 TWRP image (telling me "Successfully flashed")
But after rebooting I still have TWRP 2.8.7
Using windows command line and "fastboot flash recovery "TWRP.....img" I get this "FAILED" message.
What am I doing wrong?
I even flashed the phone back to stock and then followed these instructions but same result.
Is my phone broken or sth?
Hi H4NNE5, the Xperia M does not have a recovery partition. The TWRP recovery is included in the boot partition when flashing the kernel. Try to upgrade with the TWRP-Manager if your phone is rooted.
Hi Lightningsfire, Thanks for you answer.
Ok, that's weird because I read a lot of threads but none said anything like that. I'm more confused right now.
Anyhow the LineageOS is not properly working on my phone anyhow so I set it back to Stock Rom and check back in a few months if it improved
One more question:
So if I flash the whole software package the boot partition is overwritten then, right? Because I noticed that the Recovery was a different one, after I flashed the system.
