Hi guys, earlier today my phone just decided to randomly reboot itself. Since then it was stuck in a boot loop. I couldn't get into recovery mode at all. So instead, I got into the firmware update mode, and flashed a Marshmallow KDZ using LGUP. First I did and update, but that didn't work. Then tried refurbish, and that failed too. It just doesn't want to reboot. Any ideas?
Any way to install TWRP from the firmware update (download mode) screen?
Does fastboot command work? If it does simply run fastboot boot yourtwrpimagename

Edit:
I installed some LG Drivers from a root article and now the phone is recognized. I can update to V20G and test it again, hope it works!
Hello!
I was running CM14.1 on my LG G4 and a few days ago I decided to install a new update but from within the phone itself. Sadly, it just rebooted to the recovery and didn't install anything. And from there, it always rebooted into the recovery no matter what I did. I also did a full wipe and installed CM14.1 clean but it still rebooted to the recovery and didn't want to go past that. I made a Reddid thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/cyanogenmod/comments/5gcap3/g4_h815_cm_141_help_i_cant_boot_outside_of/.
So I got help with that - I got into Download Mode and flashed the stock software via LGUP. Sadly, after I did this, I can no longer install a custom recovery. The phone is not rooted and LGUP and LG Bridge don't recognize the device anymore and the phone says there isn't a new update available but it's on the 5.1 stock ROM.
Whenever I flash the TWRP image via fastboot and I reboot into recovery, it doesn't boot into TWRP but it boots into some kind of other fastboot mode. And I've tried to issue `fastboot boot twrp-x-x-x.img` but it fails to do so and shows `FAILED (remote: dtb not found)`.
Is there a way to fix this so I can flash CM again?
Thanks in advance!

The bootloop to recovery is a known issue of one the December nightlies of CM 14. Head over to the CM thread and search for bootloop and twrp. They provided a solution to solve this too.
Besides that: which twrp version do you tried to fastboot? H811 or h815? Taken from the official download site?

twrp-3.0.2-1-h815.img, H815 as the title says and from the official website as I've always done. As for the thread - I don't have TWRP and I can't even flash it as I've written in my post. That's what I'm struggling with.

Hi all,
I bought a used LG G3. It's running on KitKat and software version is D85510i. It had stock recovery installed but download mode was missing. Whenever I entered the download mode, it said "fastboot mode started". I can't find the laf.img for D85510i and the ones for 30B/20E/etc don't work (I tried flashing them with fastboot). So I thought of installing custom recovery. I came to know about bump! TWRP. This phone was already rooted with latest su binary installed. I downloaded flashify and flashed bumped twrp after taking backup of stock recovery. But when I rebooted into recovery, it said "fastboot mode started" and somehow, stock recovery.img got deleted. Now my phone just boots into system and recovery/download mode don't work. I even tried flashing bumped twrp with fastboot and adb as well.
1. Can someone explain why twrp isn't booting and help me flash it?
2. Can someone provide me the laf.img for D85510i? I don't wanna download the whole firmware to install just a small laf.img. if someone has the stock D85510i.kdz, can you please extract laf.img from it?
3. Moreover, the housing says D851, while sticker under the battery and in setting, says it's D855. The IMEI on the sticker under battery and the IMEI of the phone also match. So is it possible that the housing is just changed or is there any chance that someone successfully flashed a D855 firmware on D851 and now I'm having issues with recovery and download mode because of that?
Hi,
I've twrp version 3 installed and I've try to update it. I've download latest .img file from twrp official website and flash it via TWRP itself. Than I've just restarted TWRP but the system stucks on LG logo. How can I success to install TWRP again. I don't have anything on the phone so I can remove everything.
Probably you forgot to flash it to recovery partition, default is boot. You can try to go to recovery with the power + vol down buttons, if that wont work go back to stock with kdz or tot.
So my phone has been lagging a whole lot using the stock rom and I have decided that I'll try a custom rom to see if that changes anything. So I came here and saw this forum:
I thought I'll try and so I unlocked my bootloader, only to have my phone be reset (not a problem, everything was backed up). It also boots with a warning "Device unlocked and can't be trusted".
Then I went on to download TWRP using this link in that post: "https://mega.nz/#!FQFXCYSY!DgxQRkaY1Eqq3B0fZLEQBNzUs0Zj80L6IzSHxdorQ3A" which is the TWRP 3.3.0.0 V2 IS FOR ALL USERS.
I didn't want to flash in the event it was the wrong recovery so I tried booting into it, fastboot boot recovery.img
It flashed, everything was ok and now the phone doesn't boot. It stayed in a boot loop. I went ahead and flashed recovery this time, no luck. Downloaded a recovery.img from another website and it didn't allow me to boot to android or recovery.
Is there a way to save my phone, I can't get another phone until August due to contract. It can still boot to fastboot and gets stuck when trying to boot to android. It being able to boot to fastboot makes me think theres a chance to flash a stock rom or any custom recovery and rom to get the phone working again. Any help? Thanks!

OK use the boot.img and recovery.img made by @janjan HERE. Under the heading ¨Downloads¨ see ¨Xperia XA1¨ and download the KERNEL + RECOVERY the boot.img and recovery.img are compatible with the G3121-G3112-G3125-G3116-G3123 devices on the applicable firmware.
Flash BOTH using fastboot. The boot.img is patched to allow TWRP to boot which it will never do using the stock boot.
If you wish to go back to stock then simply use FlashTool to flash the stock fotakernel.sin and boot.sin contained in the firmware for your device.
Does it works becouse I boot my g3116 from flashtool camand was
Fastboot boot boot.img and then also it's stuck into bootloader
Successfully unlocked bootloader, tried flashing a custom ROM (DanCS1995 Lineage 19.1), OFOX was successful, ROM would not load however, instead it booted to a decryption failed messaged. I followed the guide to the letter. So, I followed the unbrick guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ewer-lg-phones-from-edl-or-9008-mode.4213851/), successfully flashed the latest stock KDZ via LGUP but nothing happens, it just boots right back into fastboot. I tried a couple different KDZ's. I tried switching between slot A and slot B and now I cant even boot into OFOX recovery as KDZ reflash overwrote it. I'm going in circles and looking for ideas.
Just to clarify,
Bootloader - Unlocked
Fastboot - Working?
DL mode - Working
Also if I try to fastboot boot into OFOX now the device just freezes at the LG G7 ThinQ splash screen.
