Hi,
I've twrp version 3 installed and I've try to update it. I've download latest .img file from twrp official website and flash it via TWRP itself. Than I've just restarted TWRP but the system stucks on LG logo. How can I success to install TWRP again. I don't have anything on the phone so I can remove everything.
Probably you forgot to flash it to recovery partition, default is boot. You can try to go to recovery with the power + vol down buttons, if that wont work go back to stock with kdz or tot.

What I was trying to do: I have a stock 4.4.2 AT&T GS3 that I wanted to root, and then install Cyanogen Mod.
What I did: I flashed Auto-Root with Odin 3.10, restarted and then flashed TWRP 2.8. I then booted to TWRP and attempted to wipe/format the phone but it showed some errors along the way, I think it was something having to do being unable to mount the SD card. I then rebooted into recovery and flashed CM12 and slim Google Apps zip. When it was flashing both I got a string of errors but it said it was successful.
Where I'm at now: When I try turning the phone on (without holding any buttons down) it attempts to boot straight to the TWRP but gets stuck at the blue TeamWin screen. I'm able to get to download mode by holding down the appropriate buttons. I'm wondering if there's anything I can flash from Odin to resolve this.
I also realized I have unbacked up photos on the device, I don't think the format was successful, is there any way to recover those?
Thanks
To recover the pictures, try re-installing TWRP, boot into TWRP, and mount the partitions. Connect the phone to your computer and copy your pictures.
TWRP
I have had this happen before. Try using Odin to flash an older version of TWRP, uncheck reboot after flash and then when it is done, do a battery pull. This has gotten me back into a working TWRP to restore my previous setup. Note: You made need to go back to 2.6. Once you have gotten back up and running flash to the current TWRP with the app.
I was trying to root my device and was following a guide which instructed to flash TWRP, then rooting kernel and finally a ROM of my choice. After using Odin to flash TWRP the phone booted to the TWRP menu on which I chose to reboot the system and the phone got stuck on the black welcome to galaxy screen and it just kept on flashing that screen. I was able to boot to the load screen by holding power, home, volume up key and using Odin to flash the original image file.
Question is am I following the correct order to root this thing and if I am what could have gone wrong?

After the phone rebooted to the TWRP recovery you should have flashed the rooting kernel before rebooting
the phone in twrp. You need to go back into twrp recovery (you will need to odin flash twrp again).
Here is the xda link for Jovy23's stock rooted G928T kernel: (flash this in twrp recovery)

If you flash the wrong kernel the phone will be in a constant bootloop and or it will get stuck on the logo screen.
Good luck,

Hi everyone. So i have an lg g3 d850 version, I had rooted it installed cyanogenmod 12 and twrp recovery, everything was fine. Problem came up when i tried to upgrade twrp recovery to v3.0.0.0 (latest version). I downloaded the twrp.img into my sd card, I used Flashify and erroneously chose FLASH BOOT IMAGE instead of RECOVERY IMAGE. Since they are both .img files flashify flashed it. I tried to reboot my phone it would not boot, just kept displaying on and off the lg logo, i guess it couldn't find the correct boot image. I thing flashify flashed a recovery .img into the boot partion (what a bummer!). So I tried to restore phone to stock, it booted into download mode (vol up+usb cable), used the lg flash tool and installed the stock .tot file with its dll, went well to completion. Tried to boot again, but it would not boot. I guess the boot partion is still unflashed. Someone please assist me on this problem, is there a way i can get and flash the original boot .img into my LG G3 D850?
Flash Boot from CyanogenMod
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
you can download the CyanogenMod 12 ZIP and extract the boot.img from Cyanogen. Now flash the extracted Boot.img via Fastboot.
Kind regards

Do you have a step by step guide on how to do that? Remember the tot method completed, so i guess its back to stock.

On computer -> open the rom zip via winrar or any archive utility, find boot.img, copy over to phone (connect while in twrp), tap on IMG in twrp (there are 2 options - zip and img, currently it´s zip mode), then find the boot.img, choose to flash and select "boot" or "kernel" (it asks you if it´s recovery or kernel)
Don´t panic , you have twrp at lease
I don't have twrp
Well doesn't make sense.
-you had older twrp
-you wanted new one
-you flashed it to boot partition?
It means you can't boot Android but you still have twrp
volume down and power, wait for lg logo. Release and hold again..confirm twice

Hello so I've been trying to install twrp, so then after I can root. However whenever I boot into twrp using ADB, then install the twrp image, then after it's "successful", and I try to boot into recovery, it doesn't boot into twrp. I've tried using the buttons and it just shows the LG reset your phone option, and I've said yes but it just reboots my phone. And when I use adb to reboot into recovery it just reboots my phone. Any ideas? Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
I have cyanogen mode 13 installed and TWRP 2.8.7.0 and decided to update TWRP thru offical TWRP app and when updating I had the (Allow flashing to boot partition box ticked)
I have tried to update TWRP with box unticked but not working.
When rebooting to recovery it gets to HTC logo saying ENTERING RECOVERY and goes into loop continious.
When I hold volume up and power it will boot to os and normal operation.
Any clues on how to fix boot partition and reinstall TWRP?
kind regards
