I'm trying to find a TWN .kdz file to flash through LG UP and downgrade from marshmallow but I can't seem to find any on here. There is no .kdz for TWN on storagecow.eu (/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G4%2F)
Reason being battery life has been abysmal since updating - 5%+/hour standby battery drain which is totally unacceptable when previously I could leave it unplugged overnight and lose maybe 5% in total.
Thanks
Does your SD Card work ok? Mine no longer works..
Have you tried clearing your App caches etc?

My SD card still works fine. I just cleared them now through cleanup in settings, let's see if that helps... how have you found battery life?

Hey guys I've had this issue where regardless of what music app I use, a few seconds after I turn my screen off (i.e. lock the device) the music will stop playing until I turn it back on.
Anyone have any idea why? I'm on version 10e (latest according to PC Suite and OTA Checker), and I'm stock unrooted.
Other than that the phone's been amazing and blazing fast, even outspeeding my M8 GPE sometimes

Also, when charging, this problem doesn't occur. This further adds to the mystery...
Also, it happens if I have music local or streaming, so that rules out network issues.

UPDATE: OK so after messing with about every single setting on the phone, I tried switching it back to Dalvik. Fixed everything 100%. Whole phone is faster, from opening apps to web pages.
Very strange... Not sure why there would be so much ART incompatibility, but I guess it's 4.4.2 and not .3 or .4. If anyone else has has this problem (including an inability to wake the phone up without a few tries), check your RunTime. I'm hoping it'll be better next update, but for now this'll have to do.

Hi there!
I have exactly the same problem since I updated the phone to Lollipop (D85520A) but before that I didn't have that problem. Firstly I found this when I updated to D85519H and then I performed another update to the current version (D85520A) and it didn't help. The smartphone is way better, but this problem is really ennoying me.
ART is not available on Lollipop and my phone went only for one day to ART mode and it was a pain in the ass (when I still had 4.4.2) and then I switched back to normal.
I am thinking about to a factory reset and reinstall Android 5.0 on CSE mode AGAIN and see what happens, but I think it won't help at all.
Do you have any idea of what could I do in order to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance.
Fixed
Hi there!
Just a short update.
Like I mentioned before, I got this problem when I updated my phone with the new Lollipop FW (D85519H) and then I tried to perform another update using the D85520A but the problem was still there. So I believe that the update didn't fix the issue from the previous update so I performed another clean update using the same last one and the problem disappeared.
Thank you anyway.

Probably CSE flash with this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone could maybe figure out this issue which has been troubling me for about a month or so.
I have ran marshmellow before absolutely fine however decided to flash lollipop back on my phone as I felt the battery life was better.
Anyway, whenever I come back to any version of the Marshmallow roms, i'm greeted with not being able to set a lockscreen (lockscreen has crashed), I cannot uninstall apps without a force reboot and I cannot access the security settings on the phone without it crashing.
I've tried wiping pretty much everything and it seems to be on all roms. I've tried multiple from fresh.
Any ideas?
Much Appreciated

DO you know if flashing back works on verizon? I loved this phone until MM...
Also any insight on the steps, did you just use LGUP and get the KDZ off Sotragecow?

@zwalk - sorry for the late response. I did exactly that. Seemed to fix everything. I recommend trying 20f or 20g if it works with your phone as it seems to fix battery issues.
...
I've had this problem for a couple of months. There is something funky going on and I'm chewing through batteries and if the battery gets too low, it boot loops. Very frustrating.
Since the update i have the same problem. Only happens when the battery drops low, sometimes at 10% sometimes as low as 5%. But somewhere between 5 and 10% the phone will shutdown and go into a bootloop until i plug it up or the battery comletely dies. Rynning the phone with power saving mode seems to help with the fast battery drain. I have no proof, but i feel like the drain is coming from the bluetooth and wifi constantly scanning. If i turn them both off my battery life goes from about 8 hours to about 20 hours which is what i was getting before the update.

That's interesting. I don't have a bootloop, but I did notice when it's below 5%, the phone will start to boot (Note 4 screen) but then show a plug and shut off.
Has anyone tried reflashing the stock Firmware 6.0.1 CPF3? Also, would we be able to downgrade from MM to Lollipop?

Yes, you can downgrade from MM to LP via BPA1 ODIN flash.

Is it as simple as taking the BPA1 full firmware and Pit and flashing it via Odin? I've been told that I have to root first before I can downgrade.

You won't even need the PIT. Just load the BPA1 Full furmware in the AP slot an flash. Make sure you full wipe first. I wouldn't root. KingRoot tampers with the efs folder and causes dm-verity failed.
I see, thanks for that info

Have you experienced this boot loop issue after the 6.0.1 update? I bet it's a software issue, not hardware. Here's why:
Description
New in box Verizon Note 4 N901V, activated July 2015. No mods, roms or launchers. Ran like a champ on 4.4.4, skipped 5.1.1, installed 6.0.1 a couple weeks ago. Device heated up, battery declined, now boot loops like above video unless charger connected.
Troubleshooting
Disable Fast Charging
Install Wake Lock PowerManager, set Partial Wake Lock
Update all installed apps
Wipe cache from recovery, power off/on
Factory reset from recovery, power off/on
Store provided CLNR N901V running Marshmallow out of the box, tried original battery and another used battery at the store, issue persists
Hypothesis
I say something software-related in 6.0.1 is making good batteries seem defective when they're not. I also speculate that a new battery will fix only temporarily. Has anyone resolved by downgrading to Lollipop or KitKat? Disappointing to see the world's greatest smartphone crippled before its time.

I just flashed 5.1.1 and I'm getting the same bootloop issue as I did when I had 6.0.1. I have a few batteries coming tomorrow, Samsung OEM, Anker, and Arclyte. I'll see if the new batteries fixes the problem.

Update: Looks like the bootloop bug is related to a bad battery. I've been using an Arclyte battery from Amazon since Sunday morning with no issues. I managed to get 16 hours of moderate use with 4 hours of screen time. I'll post another update a week or two from now to see if this battery holds up.

Hi all
I just got a new LG G3 from T-Mobile which came with Marshmallow (30b). I have inserted my 64GB external SD card from my previous G3 (its' display stopped working all of a sudden) and started to set up the new phone. All went quite well until I have rooted the phone following the steps in Root + TWRP Marshmallow D855 (30b).
Now I have a rooted phone with TWRP, which is good, of course. But I think during this process the original kernel has been replaced by another one, is this right?
1st problem now is the 64GB external SD card which is not usable any more, even after formatting it through the phone itself. I have inserted another 12GB card and this is working as expected. The 64GB card is working normally in a card reader.
2nd problem is that the FM radio app stopped working. It is only giving strange messages like "Mock: RADIO_ON", "Mock: UNMUTE", "Mock: TUNE" and so on without playing anything at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the radio, no success.
3rd problem is the annoying Joyn (RCS) service. I can disable it in the settings. But after a reboot it is turned on again.
I am not sure about the 3rd problem but the first two may be very well related to a kernel lacking support for the big SD card and the radio HW, right?
Any suggestions how to solve these?
Can I flash another kernel without losing TWRP and root again? If so, which one?
(Is there a Marshmallow custom ROM with the original camera and FM radio support? This I can find out by myself of course)
Thanks and regards,
xrig
Had the exact same problem. I have the international model G3 32 GB variant which I purchased 2 weeks ago. It worked good till I rooted it. FM radio kept coming up with mock & couldn't get any functionality of the radio, tried rebooting, taking out the battery & didn't work. What solved this problem was downloading the 30b global Marshmallow rom & flashing it. FM worked perfectly, even after rooting & had no issues. I'd recommend flashing the 30b rom with a complete wipe.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Did you use the above rooting method again after flashing the global stock rom? And can you use exFAT on your external SD card? It seems that Hacer Permisivo is breaking the exFAT support.
What global 30b did you actually use, the kdz corresponding to your IMEI from devtester.ro?
Maybe a custom kernel or ROM will fix your problems, and also formating your sdcard on fat32 will fix it.
Hi everyone! Is there anybody know what is causing this horrible battery drain and what to do to fix it? I'm on LeeDroid 125. Thanks for answers!
I have also above 30% drain on Standby
Same problem here. The Gsam battery monitor app shoes that it is something to do with the HTC dialer. I've tried clearing the app data / cache. Clearing phone cache / dalvic. Re-flashing the firmware. Formatting and re-flashing LeeDroid. Setting the device up as a ' new ' device without restoring any of the apps or app data and only installing limited apps a couple at a time to see it there is something triggering it. So far nothing has worked for me.
I'm running US Unlocked on T-Mobile / Metro PCS. It was working great with Nougat LeeDroid.
The only thing that slowed the battery drain is keeping it in airplane mode unless I need to use data or make a call.
Hopefully HTC will re-release the US Unlocked RUU soon so I can try that.
***Update: I think I solved / fixed my battery drain problem. When I "Converted" my phone to "US Unlocked" I used "Super CID" instead of the "US Unlocked CID".
So, I changed it from super CID to US Unlocked CID, reflashed US unlocked firmware, flashed TWRP, formatted and flashed LeeDroid un-rooted. Phone has been running a couple hours now and drain appears normal, the HTC dialer has little to no activity in Gsam battery monitor. I will re-root it later.

Glad it worked. I have always had better luck with SuperSU, it may not have all the features but it is usually more reliable. I try magisk once in a while but on a fresh clean install it has caused me problems.
I have the same problem, mobile network standby battery drain after Oreo update. I'm not expert about rooting phone or flashing rom, what can I do without these option?
Add me to the list of people with this issue post Oreo update. For me, at the end of a day, Mobile Network Standby will have drained 35-40% of the battery. This is in an area with good cell reception, and without this issue on Nougat.
Sono un utente italiano ed anche io dopo aver aggiornato ad oreo ho il consumo molto alto di "standby rete mobile" 25-30-35%. Segnale sempre molto buono in 4g o 4g+. Può essere qualche bug di oreo?

I doubt changing all that is what fixed it. I'm thinking checking/resetting APN/mobile network settings may have done it. Wiping caches may have done it (which is part of what he did). A clean install almost definitely would resolve any issues. There are instructions posted for all of these.
