HTC desire 820 dual sim card not starting and when I started charging then indicator light started blinking and indicator light not showing light constantly and mobile not taking charging . when I visited their service center they are telling me that your phone motherboard will change and price would be 9000 .. So I want to know is their any solution

1) hold power button + volume down button for 2 minutes.
2) If above method doesn't work
Try holding the power button and volume down buttons down,
while holding the proximity sensor directly under a very bright light.( I AM NOT TROLLING)
Note: It happened with me yesterday, and I don't know which of the above method worked but me and my phone got back to life
This also happened with a HTC One user http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446385

It could be due to the failure of the IC adapter or faulty battery. Both are hardware problems and costs money.
P's I have encountered the same as you do serveral days ago and I ended up in give up reviving my phone as the money the repair cost is equal to a new phone in my region.

Hi thanks for the fast replay. I have tried Factory reset many times, but did not help. I have upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3 but also didn't help. The phone at the moment has been sting on the desk connected to the pc charging at 24.5degrees and hasn't restarted for more than 15 min, but when I start playing with it its going to restart. Thanks!

Hi Thanks, but the battery stays really steady does not seem to be loose. I even tried putting peace of paper between the battery and the cover, but still no luck.

Hi I think it has something to do with the WiFi because the phone just sits on the desk connected to the PC charging for a while not restarting but as soon as I turned the WiFi on restarted right away.

It has 2 year warrenty, even if you got it when first released it will have
a good few months left
Hi I have been searching for the proof of purchase the whole day and I couldn't find it. Is there any other way htc going to repair it without proof of purchase?

When I sent mine for repair it they didnt ask for any proof of purchase.
I think they just check the IMEI / serial against their database to see when
it was sold and whether its been reported as stolen etc
Proof of purchase is not required but not all phones have 2 year warranty. Just call HTC and see what they say our contact them online, the response time I experienced was within 1 working day.
Thank you very much!

[Q] Bricked HTC One X

Hey guys, Battery went flat during a ROM install and now phone wont charge or turn on or anything.
I've spent the past few days researching the problem and I believe it to be bricked.
When connected to the computer I get QHSUSB_DLOAD displaying in the device manager.
I can see there is a fix for this for the HTC Sensation however nothing looks promising for the HTC One X.
The device itself is only 3 weeks old and has never had an issue before, Just stupid me didn't check the charge level before flashing yet another ROM to test lol.
Does anyone know if this is repairable/will be repairable? If not, Will Telstra replace it under warranty?
Also I haven't been able to find a Telstra RUU for this device either if anyone knows where to obtain one?
Try charging it first. See here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26192390
Thanks for the suggestion mate but unfortunately it does nothing. The phone isnt even booting as far as fastboot.
Same problem as here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23078349 However for the HTC One X
You know more about this than I do. Apparently, going dead in the middle of flashing corrupted hboot. I don't know a way to recover from that with s-on except taking it in to a htc service center. Since they won't be seeing the bootloader screen, they will have to replace it IMHO.

For ruu to work, you should be able to boot the phone to bootloader at least.

(Fix) dead HTC one x

I don't know if this was posted but I couldn't find it so...
My friends gave me his one x to fix it because he was playing gang star Rio and suddenly the device was off because of low battery and when he charged the phone couldn't charge only sometimes it blinks red
And the device can't turn on by any button mix ..
So I fixed it by holding the power button and connecting the charger while holding and that's it ...
I don't know if it will work for u I just thought I would share this
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
What you did was a battery reset, if I'm not mistaken. I had to do the same once when my phone refused to turn on, despite charging it.
Reboot: press the power button (10sec)until the bottom buttons start to flash (4times)
recovery: press power + vol down

I was also handed over a friend's HOX, which suddenly couldn't turn on. I've tried to charge it overnight, and I've tried turning it on with the vol down, holding it down for 10 sec. Nothing works and buttons doesn't flash?

Good question, the computer was muted But it shows up in device manager as unknown device, and when holding power button for ~10 sec, it changes to apx device. And I can't update the driver.
Any idea of how much they charge. Screen is cracked also, so maybe it's cheaper to buy a new!?

No, led never lights up. Hmm.. read a bit about the j-tag, and seems like there's nowhere to get it done here in Denmark. And international charging is pricy.
Dead end everywhere
Any chance of changing the broken screen, could make the device boot?

Well, it is a friend's phone I got, to play around with. So I don't know exactly how the screen broke, but it happened some time before, this other problem. So it worked fine for some time, and then suddenly `blacked out`.
Yea, when the computer recognizes the phone, there's a chance If you have some ideas, I can try them out. Otherwise I'll have to send it to ksa

Jumping in this discussions since i have the same problem..... HTC one X not powering on, no sings of charging, and the PC will detect only as something being pluged but you can not do anything as it shows Device Unknown.... "failed to install driver"
Is this a software issue ?? - bootloader or something like that or
hardware issue - something has to be replaced ??
P.S. holding down power + volume down for many seconds will not react, or leave it on the wall charger for more than 5 hours will not change anything..
any ideas.... ( mine broke while i did factory reset, ---- )

If it's appear like that in the pc, looks like your internal memory has been wiped (or partitioned), happened to me before, i sent it to lg customer care and they had to replace the hole motherboard... sorry to hear...
When u use the swapper, choose mdblock1 instead of mdblock0, cuz. it is the internal memory and 1 is the external one!
Or use another swap app that have a advanced settings!
The problem is LG G Pad is not available for my country (Indonesia). I bought it from Hongkong. When I contact Indonesia's LG service center they seems cannot service my tablet. So shame.

Not sure, but if u have qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 (COM3), then, it is a motherboard fail, means that not hole motherboard is effected (MAYBE if the hole motherboard effected, u will not get any sign, even in pc), but it maybe the internal memory fail, but otherwise u cant replace only the Internal Memory alone, u have to get the hole motherboard, so u can bring it back to life...
Thanks for your answer.
Now, just waiting a month for the motherboard to arrive. So expensive [emoji31]

I feel for the OP, as I too, have hard bricked my tablet when I tried creating a swap partition via swapper. In my case, all black screen, no response when I try to power on the device, no nothing....
The only sign of life, is that when I connect the tablet to the computer via USB,i hear 2 faint beeps but then nothing....
Does anyone have any recommendations, apart from replacing the motherboard? I find it a bit too expensive, as its almost 2/3rds the price of a brand new tablet.
Does anyone know if JTAG will work on the LG G Pad 8.3? Also if anyone can recommend someone who can fix it, for a fee ofcourse , please feel free to PM me. Thanks

Nope. I mean jtag, a device that is soldered onto the chip and hardcode data directly into it. You can use it to restore a hard brick. i think i saw from somewhere that the jig wont work. But i think Jtag will stand a chance.

You can however reach the ports? headphone and USB?
headphone and usb are fine. It's just the bottom corners of the screen now slightly lifted up because cannot stick with the back.

Nexus 5X unable to power on (red notification light)

Hi, my nexus 5x is unable to be powered on, with a red notification light flashing when i hold power button more than 10s.
Tried combinations of all buttons for more than 10 seconds each, to no avail.
Charged for more than 4 hours, swapped chargers, swapped cables, to no avail.
I am unable to boot, therefore unable to go into recovery or bootloader to flash anything at all.
please advice!
Have you tried turning it on while connected to the charger after an hour or so?
You may need to return it, is it still under warranty?
What did you do?
Did you root? Custom roms? Battery dead? Flashed wrong image?
Just got mine back from LG for this same BS after only 2months new. They wiped everything and said it was faulty screen cable/ribbon. Came back with no screen protector so I guess the replaced the screen as well. Warranty it. There's nothing you can do. I tried every fix, combo, cables.

Thanks for following up!
I've contacted my seller on ebay and he is checking with LG for me!
I tried those methods and they also don't work, mostly because of compatibility issues.
It's a real vexing situation for me.

yeah i know , it's very vexing me to . i have nexus 5 it's been 1 year without any problem .
Where I live there's no support for the 5x yet. So I send it with a friend to USA and contacted LG to send it as RMA. They say they fixed it.. replacing some board.. I don't know, I still didn't get it back. hahaha.
LG is your friend =)
