Phone not turning on!! - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my phone isnt working! It turned off out of nowhere! It shows QHSUSB_USB when i plug it in.

try holding down the volume down and power buttons at the same time.
Assuming that works, hold down the same two keys while the phone is off and if it turns on, clear the cache from the menu.

I'm afraid it's a hard brick. Some devices can be retrieved in this state but the G4 (afaik) can't at the moment.

I am talking about the G4 (VS986) Verizon Wireless variant with a May 2015 build date as ever since a few days ago, everytime I uninstall and reboot, it will go into a boot loop or even safe mode and one time, it just won't turn on no matter what until I did the above hard reset except this time it did the LG logo and then the Verizon Wireless logo like it was logo and was stuck there even after 2 hours which is the reason I did the wipe cache before it would work normally.

[LT26i] Vibration gone... Need help

The vibration of my phone has gone.
I am not sure, but I think it happend after relocking the BL and flashing a stock rom.
In the past month I flashed nearly every rom and kernel, I know how to use flashtool and fastboot over ADB.
but no matter what I do, it doesn't vibrate. Except of some few seconds every now and then, it comes back.
May this be software related?
When I do a hard reset, it even doesn't vibrate when shutting down or booting up neither.
Any suggestions to fully restore hardware functions?
Thx

Open your phone keypad and dial *#*#7378423#*#*
Then go to service tests--->Vibrator and press any volume key. Then check if the phone vibrates. If it does vibrate then it is not a big problem.
Try soft reset your phone holding power button and vol+. If you vibrate stll did not work it mean it is hardware problem.

Thanks for the help. System test shows vibration not working, soft resetting didn't make it vibrate neither

Your phone is broken. You must send it to Sony Service.

I actually got it working again!
Removed the back plate and pressed a few times along the both black tape straps, thinking the vibration hardware could have moved away from it's position due to a heavy mechanical shock, like when falling down.
Finally it worked. Thanks for the suggestions!

[Q] One X randomly simulating power button press.

My One X seems to simulate the press of the power button at random, regardless of rom, it also wakes for some reason when I touch the screen sometimes.
The power button press simulation is completely random, but usually occurs in bursts, sometimes in concentrated presses which can turn off the phone, has anyone ever had this problem, and what are the steps I should take to fix it?

It occurs regardless of ROM, I've got Serenity 4.75 installed atm, but it did it on Android Revolution which the previous owner (got it from ebay) had. it may be a hardware issue, and a quite uncommon one, the device works perfectly otherwise.
It seems to have been repaired before, which may be something to do with this.
Edit: I've got the same ROM and kernel on my white One X with a cracked screen and don't have the same issue.

Already tried this, it didn't have any effect, I think it's something to do with the internal button that the plastic thing we call a button presses down on.
I'd say an electrical current that runs through the replaced screen manages to somehow find where the power button-related electronics are and somehow activates it, otherwise I don't know why touching the screen can wake up the device when it's sleeping, doesn't happen on the other One X with same ROM/Kernel and settings.

[8.4] Hard Bricked (cyanogenmod 11)

Hi, I used my tab pro. It was hanging and i turned it off. Since that, I can't turn it on again. I just tried everything and every combination of key shortcuts. I used cyanogenmod 11 without problems before.
Any ideas?
Thx

P8000 MMI Test in Chinese

Since yesterday when I turn on my P8000 I get this MMI Test and everything in Chinese. I'm not sure if it's some kind of update but I've tried pressing various buttons but can't get through it and my phone I'd unusable.
Can any body help and fast?
Many thanks.
From memory I believe this is effectively a Mediatek self test.
Hold the power button in until the phone shuts down, then restart normally. Fingers crossed this'll work.

Power on issue / Device not startable sometimes

Moin!
There is a strange issue happened yesterday and continued today.
When power had been off I wasn't able to get get the device on again. Not even power plus volume - works. Device was charged. Power indicator lights on the back lighted. But screen stayed off - not, really off. I tried several times, now it's on but I fear it will happens again.
What can it be? Hardware defect? Kernel issue? Firmware?
I'm on current AOSP Oreo by followmsi
Kernel: tegra-3.18 171003
Magisk 14
TWRP 3.1.1-1
Firmware: smaug 7900.50.0
