CAN I ROOT MY SPRINT SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 SM-G920???!!! NO RUN AROUND ANSWERS!!! IF YES THEN WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO DO SO??? AND IF NOT THEN JUST SAY NO!!!
Just flash TWRP in odin, you can find the DL for both TWRP and ODIN HERE. Then just flash THIS SuperSU in TWRP.

I have galaxy note 2 i317 AT&T version. I have unrooted my phone but still have CWM recovery left. How I can remove that. I am new to this. I was able to retrive firmware for my device from samsung open source site but not sure how to deploy or flash back to my i317 model using odin. Can you please help or guide.
I was able to download Samsung galaxy note 2 at&t firmware from opensource samsung com but dont know how to deploy or flash to my phone using ODIN. If someone can please advice on some steps or tutorial I will really really appricate.
I just want my phone to be normal the way it was before. I dont think i need rooting It was just plain stupid of me to go in first place. overall phone works fine it just bothers me to see that CWM recovery to be their and in case I need to return it I don't think at&t will accept it.
Also I did backup my stock rom from phone after rooting. (I am new android user and I dont belive their is way to make stock rom backup before rooting) So any help will be appricated.
I'm just guessing this is the appropriate method:
Re-root the phone.
Download triangle away.
Download the AT&T galaxy note 2 system dump from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983158
Use the toolkit to convert it to a .tar.
Flash it just like you flashed CWM tar.
Run triangle away and reset flash counter.
Un-root using superuser.
Please confirm with other users before doing the steps above. I could not locate the stock recovery.img anywhere, so I believe the system dump is the best thing to flash.
Good luck!

One of the users try converting system dump to tarz and it failed. So I assume may be its not working?

This is a bit by bit img of the system partition of the att note. So you don't exactly install it. Basically you can adb into your phone and use the dd command to write it back to the system partition (mmcblk0p13). My first attempt at making it a tar to use with ODIN failed I will try an alternative method tonight when I'm off work.

I am gonna give one more try. I downloaded system dump (p12.7z) just fine thanks for the link. But which tool kit you are refering too? Please provide link or name of it. I am new to android and rooting coming and moving from Iphone to android.
Please please forgive me if I'm reposting. I have an s3 that's rooted up and running great so not a novice here. Although my brother finally gave me his T-Mobile note 2- 4.3 w/knox to play with. However his request was to root and unlock it. I've been through the threads over here and just need a link to the most successful method to achieve this. I've tried a couple of rooting methods already (cf auto and Mr Robinson) but can't get root to stick or get recovery. I guess can I factory reset his phone and flash a 412 rom over it and root and unlock that way?? And I believe his 4.3 update was ota. I would appreciate any help here thanks.

I had some trouble getting root & recovery to stick on my stock 4.3 Note 2. I think the method that worked best for me was installing TWRP recovery using Odin. The official T-Mobile Note 2 TWRP thread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966105
There is a download link towards the bottom of the 1st post that redirects to the TWRP homepage but here is the direct link to the TWRP page for the T-Mobile Note 2:
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/123
The Odin Method is the last on in the list, download the TAR file & flash with Odin
Once you have recovery, you can flash the latest Chainfire (1.99) to root your ROM or just flash a custom ROM
This may help you to get root/recovery but beware, I have been randomly losing my root access even on custom rooted ROMs. I just created a new thread yesterday to hopefully track & resolve the issue but I have a feeling it is related to the 4.3 bootloader which currently can't be rolled back or fixed in the T-Mobile Note 2. My thread for losing root is in the link below, please check it out and see if you are experiencing the same issue:

Hi there. I have a very simple question. I bought an AT&T version Tab s 10.5. I have tried Googling all over the web for this issue but I can't find a solution. I am very new to flashing roms. I have done it in the past but that was much easier back then. Last time I flash a rom was on a Google G1. Anyway the model of AT&T Tab S is T807A. I am trying to flash the Tmobile stock rom T807T on this tablet. Is there anyway I can do it? Odin fails at NAND write. Please someone help me out. I don't want to flash a custom rom. Just replace the AT&T rom with T-Mobile Stock rom. Thank You.

Att locks it bootloaders. That means you can only flash firmwares from att only. Sadly you can't install Tmobile rom on att
So what about T-Mobile? Is it's bootloader locked too? So I won't be able to install Custom FW on my AT&T Tab?
That means you can only flash att firmware on your att tab s. And Tmobile firmware only on a Tmobile device. You can install a custom FW on att tab for now
Gotcha. Thank You so much for your help. I am not so good with installing custom rom any guide you can reccommend. A forum sticky or post I should read where it tells me how I can install firmware. I don't care about the Knox warranty.
Made a big mistake tried to root the device realize couldn't. Now I am getting the error about device needing to connect to Kies 3 to fix firmware. Unfortunately Kies does not support this AT&T device so I am out of luck. Any idea or anyone know if I can find AT&T stock firmware and just flash it with Odin? Thank You

Try factory reseting in recovery. If that doesn't work then your out of luck there's no firmware for att. Sorry
Just go into recovery and wipe the cache. Factory reset will probably do it too.
Anyone have Samsung Tab S T807T stock firmware?

I bricked my tablet but I can get it with ODIN.
Thanks!
My T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) was rooted and I have been running CyanogenMod for years.. Right now on Lolipop 5.0.2
Months ago I had to do a restore and I think it was then that I lost root.
I want to root the phone again, but I am using the CWM Recovery v6.0.5.0. I know how to root the factory version of my phone but I dunno how to do it to my CWM/CyanogenMod phone.
Can someone offer me advice on how to re-root this device now that it is not in a factory configuration?
Appreciate it.

Flash latest supersu zip with twrp
Thanks. Of course that worked. I used CWM vice TWRP. Really appreciate it. I have another question about switching from CWM to TWRP. Will ask in a new thread.
How can I root my sprint S4 with lollipop 5.0.1
Thanks
You're in the s3 section. But the s4 roots the same as many Samsung phones. Get odin 3.10.7 on your PC. Use odin to flash a .tar of twrp recovery. Use twrp recovery to flash SuperSU. Or once you have twrp installed simply boot to recovery, then from recovery, boot back to system and twrp will ask if you want root, swipe the arrow for yes.
But you need to go into the sprint S4 forum and ask. There you will find links and full instructions.
