-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-NO Mobile Data after a clean install?
look at settings/Data Usage/"your provider" and enable mobile data
-how to enable developer settings
go to settings/about phone
tap 7 times on build number to enable it
in settings you will have the hidden developer settings menu
-OTA update in Eragon rom , How it works
you will get a notification when an update is available
go to eragon update app / Rom / download new Rom Version
(you can also read the changelog there)
after download the ota ,its is in your download folder in storage
reboot to recovery /browse to it and flash the ota file
-Nova launcher in Custom roms / scroll & animations
its a high customizable launcher , to make the scroll & animations smoother you can
go to nova settings/look & feel / scroll speed and animation speed
set the speed to faster then light for both
(that and the developer settings/animations down ,together, will make the system very smooth)
-smoother system
go to seetings/developer settings and
set all animations to 0.5 or disable them
-used adb but it didnt work
make sure you enabled usb debugging in developer settings
-secret menu in nova launcher
its an old secret option in nova launcher
when you are in nova settings , long press volume down.
that will enable the menu "labs" with secret settings..
-awesome player
in android 5.0/5.1 there is/was a battery drain bug if you enable Nuplayer
use the old Awesomeplayer , you can enable it in developer settings
-if an app Force close and stopped
go to settings/apps/all apps / and clear data and cache of the faulty app
in most cases that will happen if you dirty flash a rom, related to app updates but with old cache/data
from the previous app
-Wifi Drops and disconnections
that is a stock bug. and it seems that the mtk wifi driver dont like some routers.
you can try to fix it , if you go to settings/Battery and disable Intelligent power saving standby
or/and in eragon use the ipv6 disabler.
some users reported that only having one router saved in phone fixed it
-change wallpaper
there are two ways to change it.
1.seetings/display/wallpaper
2.or you can use an app called p8000 lock screen wallpaper from playstore
(this app will only work if you have the systemui-res.apk in custom/app-res)
-change keyboard language
in settings/Language & input / keyboard / languages you can change or use more then languages
you can change the keyboard Vibration strengh and other things in keyboard/advanced
-change keyboard theme
there are 4 themes by default
look in seetings/language & input/google Keyboard/Appearance & Layouts/Theme
-2015 sitemap of xda
is not that good at the moment. if you want to change it look at the left bottom of the website
and change it to 2013 or 2013 beta 1024 they are without the Announcements/advertising

Will update op soon with some more tips. Including a battery tip related to battery.stats.
But I can not fix bugs related to a bad battery or the 15%-1% bug. It's because of issue in source..only elephone or Google can.. Or they release an updated source, where it is fixed.

Mhh. It worked great for me.
Did you checked if there is a Google update In playstore..?
What you can try is wipe cache and dalvik in recovery.
Google uses its own librarys ..so it could be also related to that.. Let me know if it works.
Btw . what rom do you use? Eragon? Because you said cm browser.
Also try this:
Go to settings/apps/all apps and delete data and cache of google app.
If that don't help. Uninstall Google app update and install it again from playstore

What ,Someone sell his phone with my rom on it on eBay.. ? Lol
Cm browser is the default browser in my rom
Thank you

Yes I purchased the Elephone from an ebay shop and the seller had your "ROM" on it when I got it new.
At 1st I was a bit wary as I had never heard of your ROM before. but when I was reading about the boot loop in the P8000 and NOVA cured it. I persevered with it and I'm glad I did as it is one of the best phones I have owned. even my contract Galaxy S5 is still in the box as new.

Still Google only works some times?

As usual on this forum, the myth continues. You don't have to have KK installed, you just have to have TWRP recovery installed. Either one works. I installed this ROM with "TWRP for JB" and "TWRP for KK" without any problem. But this is the topic to be discussed in separate thread.
Anyways, the ROM has some refreshing themes, a la MIUI. Looks nice.
ART doesn't work. After turning it on and rebooting the phone starts cooking and is stuck at Huawei logo.
I wish back and recent apps keys were swapped, current positions are probably good if you are left-handed. Not for most right-handed people.
just initial impressions...

I have no problem. I have TWRP "permanently" installed and I can flash any ROM so far. Prior to flashing this ROM I was on MIUI, which is JB.
Like I said, either version of TWRP works for me. Just wipe everything except Internal and External storage.

Guys, I have a problem installing this ROM. For the first time after installing this ROM, it worked well and after installing all of my apps I tried to reboot my device but after rebooting my P6 stucked at HUAWEI ASCEND logo for more than 5 minutes. I tried to restart the phone twice by long holding the POWER button but the problem remains the same.
Than I logged into the TWRP recovery and re-flashed this ROM this time by wiping all including custom storage. This results in the absence of HUAWEI logo (and I get ANDROID logo) while rebooting and the appearance of strange outlook of this ROM different from the screen shots posted above. Earlier it was the same as that of above screen shots.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you did factory reset after flashing the ROM. Did you?
I didn't do Factory Reset rather I re-flashed the same ROM via TWRP when device stucked at the Huawei Ascend logo for a longer time. While re-flashing I also wiped the CUSTOM STORAGE which I think is the problem.
What should I do now? The ROM is ok but its appearance have been changed.

I still think you accidentally pressed "Wipe data/factory reset" which comes up when flashing finishes. Try flashing again.
Well I didn't remember pressing Wipe Data/Factory Reset but I can't confirm. May be I might have. But question now is how to get back the HUAWEI logo?
Any help that you can suggest?

Hello. Thank you for stopping by. I decided to port this rom to our beautiful Find7 as I believe we all deserve it! First of all; I AM A NOOB! and will most likely struggle to give you full support but I am learning and will try my best. This rom is heavily themed and has had a lot of work put in to make it as sexy as it is! (The screenshots below can not do it justice. Use the rom and you will understand) - All credit goes to Team Ground Zero and all our hardworking Devs. Team Ground Zero is built upon the willingness to learn, create and socialize on Android. Creators of Validus, a custom AOSP ROM with many features created in house as well as pulled from CyanogenMod, SlimROMs, Paranoid Android and others (Thank you). Members are also dev/maintainers for other popular ROMs. Enjoy your stay! You assume all responsibility for anything that may happen and Team Validus cannot and will not be held responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing a rom.

Reboot recovery
Flash current 5.0 Gapps
Flash latest update superSU zip (optional)
Reboot...
Enjoy!
Are you having problems with Lollipop not going in to deep sleep?
I have also had device not sleeping issues. I think this is a widespread bug amongst a lot of 5.1 roms. The way I fixed it is by factory wipe, follow installation instructions again, then once booted, go to settings> privacy guard and set on for new installed apps. Then restore/re-install your apps. You can then go in to privacy guard and set your absolutely trusted apps to "allow" . Since I did this I have 4 x the battery life. No shiz!
It also doesn't help that Google OTA updates is causing device to "stay awake" because Google's SystemUpdateService keeps launching commands even if update system is not there. Some people don't experience as much battery drain as others. I am one of the unlucky people as well Follow my instructions below for a fix
1. Go to settings> Privacy> Privacy Guard - Now click on the 3-dot menu button at the top right and select "advanced"
2 Click on Google Play Services > scroll down and turn off "Wake up" and "Keep Awake" options
3. Reboot in to recovery > wipe cache and davlik and reboot
The steps above will help to an extent but I would also recommend doing the following if you are still experiencing battery drain
1. Download My Android Tools from here and open the app and do the following:
2. Click on "Service" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services"
3. Click on the full/short button at the top right > now click on the search button and type in "com.google.android.gms.update.SystemUpdateService" and make sure to untick this option
4. Click on the menu bar located at the top left of the screen so we can navigate back to the homescreen of the app >
5. Click on "Broadcast Receiver" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services" > now search for "SystemUpdate" and make sure all 3 of the options are unticked (it might already be unticked but it is just to make sure) - Now reboot

It's the google service ino that, but even so it had a hard time going to deep sleep with the new firmware i was running DS Battery Saver as i am now, it works with old firmware not new, so i think it might be incompatible with the new one, or could also be the Xposed that's not working properly with the new firmware.

Google OTA updates is effected by this problem because Google's SystemUpdateService keeps launching commands even if update system is not there.

First off, to my surprise, the "stable" rom greeted me with continuous dialer and setting fcs. Then I flashed the issue fix and the FCs were still present. So I somehow managed to skip the startup wizard and then trebuchet fcs. Continuously. So I opened a up the notification panel and entered settings.
In pac settings, pac console fc. Then I cleared data of trebuchet to get it working. Couldn't test multitasking as I changed the rom xD

Installed this ROM four hours ago. Here's my review:
• Smooth like a dream.
• Fast as a Bugatti Veyron.
• Incredible battery life (better than any Lollipop [5.1] ROM I've tried).
• Features perfectly ported.
Only thing (literally) bugging me is the Dual-SIM thing. If using only one SIM, it does still show the second SIM info (No SIM Card) on both lock screen and notifications drawer. Attempted fixing it via two Xposed modules (HideMissingSIM and Remove Moto G Second SIM Info), but none worked. HideMissingSIM had absolutely no effect, while Remove Moto G Second SIM Info only removed the lock screen label.
Anyways, thanks A LOT for this beautiful ROM, and please, keep up the good work!

Soon I will analyze and create a fix for the ROM N5XPA Sensor
Hi, I like this ROM. Nice set of features. Some issues / questions
1. Deep sleeps and does not come out. Have to reboot. Is there any log which might help?
2. SystemUI hangs repeatedly, but not often, generally observed after a screenshot. Again, a reboot is required.
3. Is there another kernel that I can use? I'm not a fan of the Pinkman kernel since it has been out of development lately. I am looking around, but I would love a suggestion.
4. Active display does not work.
5. Do you plan to further maintain this project? Just asking, not for an ETA though.
6. Please put up instructions about flashing the GApps in the OP.
7. Does not seem to reboot through the power menu, gets stuck on the rebooting screen.
8. Flashlight does not work either.
If I can provide you with any logs which might help, let me know.
Thanks!

@TeamMex lol look who is in town for this phone. Missed your work brother . And here @yuweng u did fantastic job of bringing aosp to this phone. Caf is always the best. I am going to root my this new phone now .
Is fingerprint supported in this version or not??
Instead of asking why don't you flash it and find out yourself?
but the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Just like every other ROM. I'm sure there will be a BIG announcement if fingerprint support ever comes to this phone. At this point I hope it never does.

well old friends are always missed klozz....
what a fantastic ROM! I was on Resurrection Remix, and gave this a try, this is even more fluid and battery back up is much better......I also tried AICP but i couldn't fix the random screen off issue though
I have two questions, if someone can help:
1. How do I get "Screenshot" in Quick tiles? The + button does not have it as an option to add to existing tiles, I often use it and sorely miss it. I tried using Gravity Box but that seems to screw up aesthetics as well as conflict the selection options.
2. How do I uninstall system apps? (Exchange services etc) I cannot seem to find it in the Settings menu anywhere and TB fails to uninstall (they all come back after a reboot!)
All in all, am sticking with this ROM anyway! Best I've used so far, but for these two minor quirks I have
Small bug: Ringtone and Notification volume are always linked, in spite of deselection the option to link
nandakalyan said:
1) volume up+ power triggers screenshot . u don't need to use any app or any option for this .
Else still if u need , just goto power options and add screenshot there.
2) u can try es file explorer to uninstall system apps .
U can ever delete the system app (in ur case exchange services) folders from twrp .
Els try root uninstaller from playstore .
U can separate volume adjustments from sound options .

Other ROMs seem to have an inbuilt System app remover, I already removed those using Root explorer anyway, but asking if I missed something which is already in the ROM that I am unable to find.

All the ROMs based on CM carry the same issues/bugs that exist in CM. FP doesn't work in CM, it won't work there as well.
I was having issues with the CM 13.0 build because of connectivity. Mobile data was very bad, speed and availability wise. I tried all the suggestions in the thread but nothing helped. I flashed this ROM last night and it felt just as smooth as the CM 13.0 compared to the horrible performance of the stock ROM (I was running B140 Debloated on KIW-L21). I am now sitting in the train on my commute to work and I have to say: speed and reception of mobile data is awesome!
Thank you so much for working on this! When this is running stable I do not see a reason to switch to another ROM. Great work!
is anyone else having Wi-Fi auto connect/disconnect issues? Each time I have to manually select the Wifi network to connect to Also, the signal strength always seems to be showing one or two bars (in Wi-Fi) even if the router next to the phone!
Well here is the feedback !.... The clock is not visible ! Its white in color and I can't see any text over it !
2nd whenever there is data switching between 3g to 2g networks the phone network disconnect itself. This was not an issue with the stock ROM. (Maybe issue with our sim telephony at cm device trees)
3rd whenever yo go into 4g area ! Phone does not show 4G symbol. Whenever I switch back to 3g it shows h+ icon . I have attached the screen shot in which there is no 4g symbol in which tiles Re down !

Sent from my Mi Note 2 using Tapatalk
Hi,
I'd like to say thanks for this ROM. It is very functional - lots of extra options - and seems to work very well. I have been trying all the Oreo ROMs, but most have battery life issues and the phone runs too hot. This ROM however is different - after the load and a short settle down period the ROM runs cool and does not use so much juice. Oreo seems like Nougat at launch, basically over hyped and short on genuine 'advances'. As usual developers will have to figure out how to get the best from the code, so initial ROMs are in many ways a step backwards on the battery life and performance possible on Nougat.
The only issue I have noted so far - and this applies to all of the Oreo ROMs is that they take ages to charge the battery. I know this can be fixed by better Kernel optimisation, but alas there is nothing available that I can get to work right now - tried Pepsy but it hangs 100% of the time, and it is not for this ROM anyway (yes I did read ALL of the instructions for the so called compatible ROMs). I have around 200 apps loaded on my phone, so far all of them seem to work OK. Great job! Thanks :0)

Hi,
I'd like to say thanks for the OTA update yesterday. Now the 'fast charge' appears to work, and a few other minor issues have been resolved. The ROM continues to exhibit excellent battery life, and also runs very cool (even when charging). I am getting as low as 22 degrees Celsius which is the best I have got with any ROM. I am using Greenify and DU Battery Saver. These both seem to work fine and do help get rid of any hidden battery drains.
Using Viper and this works fine (implemented via Magisk).
The only issue I now have to figure out is when using the Wifi Hotspot feature I am losing the connection when the screen goes off. Most likely it is something I have killing the app, but I cannot find the root cause. Any tips would be welcome!
Thanks again for a top quality ROM with great features and superb performance / battery. Not going back to MIUI - this is now my daily driver :0)

Thank you for the reviews you posted here , it made me want to try this rom, so when i'll get the chance (mostly it's about the time), i'll switch to it.
Seems to be a very cool ROM! Thank you , dev!
yeah, phone seems running cooled, for standart usage it's good! Most of options, like AEX or RR is presented, so now i use this ROM and waiting for more features and updates.
Hi!
I've finally got the chance to test the ROM and i am very impressed by how feature packed it is.
The only things that i've noticed is that the reception is not that great as other roms and sometimes it doesn't want to connect to the mobile data , so i have to turn on&off the airplane mode.
Also, the sound volume is low . Can it be higher by default?
Thank you for your work here!
I hope there will be updates in the future, too!
Another problem i've noticed is the fact that the phone gets pretty hot when doing normal activities like scrolling through facebook or using camera

I do find certain apps can cause the phone to heat up. I don't use either Facebook or the native camera app - so I am not seeing this issue. I do have a Logitech wifi camera app that is a nightmare - but if I set it to Greenify it stops being a problem.
One other point is to note the unusual upgrade instructions - wipe system partition and re-load gapps. I did not do this for a couple of updates and a few things started to go wrong. Hopefully doing as per the Dev's instructions will improve things. Tried latest version of ASOP Extended and fled back to crDroid which seems not to eat the battery so fast.
Always remember a couple of key disciplines when changing ROM - I always reset the Battery Stats with a battery calibrator after a full charge (first time only), and then you need a few hours for the software to 'settle down' and stop running various hidden set-up / optimisation routines. Typically a day later the things starts to work properly. This happens on all ROMs in my experience.
Thanks again Firebird for this ROM
I wonder how can you developer maintain so many devices at the same time?that's really amazing
Bluetooth always crashed.
Edit: Re-flash and fixed
