Isn't it known that Google didn't enable this feature out of the box? I believe they may be adding it back in an update though.

I just tried depositing checks with my new nexus 7, when I do it with the Chase app I get just a static looking picture with no actual image of the check. When I try with bank of america, the app crashes... I tried the camera by itself and it works fine. Additionally, I don't think its an issue with jelly bean because I just used my nexus 4 to deposit the checks and had no issue. Any ideas?
The apps probably aren't updated to handle the camera.

I see, thanks for the info, is this something they usually update for?
Yes. You can email the developer and ask them if they would update for the new device. It's most likely a driver the app isn't compatible with at the moment.

Same problem here. Good to know I'm not alone. The pic shows up as vertical lines of color.
Is anyone else having problems with youtube crashing on launch? Mine crashes each time on initial launch and is then stable.
Any ideas?

I'm me too. Always have to close it and re open

I have force closes probably every 4th time I open the app. It'll probably be fixed soon.
Someone on reddit or here mentioned that in dev settings, turning on disable usb audio routing fixes this. try it out..
Interesting. I haven't seen this problem once and I'm a heavy YouTube user. I also have YouTube Red, which may or may not be why I'm not having the same problem.
Happens all the time

I can't find the dev settings anywhere for YouTube. Or do you mean for android

I tried a bunch of different videos and had no crash.
Make sure you are on the latest firmware with all apps up to date :good:

Do you have a specific video it happens on? If so please share. I tried about 5 before posting.

It happens if you don't use the app for a while. I'm fully updated and it happens.

I haven't had any issues with YouTube either and i spend atleast 2 hours on it every day. Not a Red user however.
It happens with me, usually when I'm opening a link from another application.
It's not just the YouTube app, either. It's not a big deal, just re-open and it works. It is an annoyance however.

I'm not rooted and am completely stock.
I just got the Pixel XL and I'd really like to put the Samsung Calendar widget on it. I'm currently using SolCalendar which is close. I know there are apk's out there. I've force stopped Google calendar and installed the latest apk out there but not having any luck. Without rooting does anyone know how to get this working? I'm running the latest 8.0 stock.
Thanks

Does anyone know why Google doesn't support Project Tango AR in their flagship devices? Seems if they wanted AR to improve, they'd push it in their home built phones.
I believe tango was renamed or rebuilt into ARcore. Def could be wrong

Correct - ARcore replaces Tango.

Hi XDA,
Just discovered that pictures taken in portrait mode do not contain exif data and this makes
organizing a bit difficult...
I know i can add them using an exif editor but it is very time consuming.
Any way to fix that? Workaround?
Thanks
Working
Working for me, on latest Android 9 DP beta with latest Google Camera apk.
Thanks but that is not portrait mode, right?

Yeah from the file name that doesn't appear to be a portrait mode pic. Looking at my pics, I do see what you are talking about and am missing photo information like aperture, shutter speed, ISO. Looks like it might've been DP5 that broke it.

Exactly.
I am on DP5 and i've just checked my album, seems like the exif data in portrait mode is gone since DP4...
In DP3 it was still fine.
Too bad i didn't notice it earlier...
Google must fix it in the final version of Android P(9)!

Definitely DP5 pics for me. I went back and see the data just fine from a week or more ago.

Actually I went through more pics and see that both DP4 and DP5 have inconsistent EXIF data. I have a portrait photo taken yesterday that does indeed have EXIF.

EXIF data from a pic from today and yesterday. Just cropped out the location info but it was there as well.

Thanks,
Tried many times today on DP5, no way I can get the exit data stored..
Please let me know if you find some interesting settings and/or workaround [emoji4]
