Minirom Kitkat wannabe says "Android version: 4.4.2" Yet it doesn't support coloured emoji, Is there a way to make it support coloured emojis or even round black and white ones instead of the droid's head?
minirom is based on android version 4.1.2 and themed like 4.4.2...so it is actually 4.1.2

Has there been any new developments as to how to change the color on the dialpad to a dark theme like on the picture I attached? The white dialpad is just not my style.
Is the only option to root and then flash an international rom to get the dark theme?

Get another dialer from Google Play. Many give you customizable options.
Just search fro DIALER.
I use RocketDial myself. It's fully themable. I have also used GoContacts. Same deal. There are about 20 others that all do the same thing. It's just a matter of finding one that fits your style.
Thanks. But I would prefer not to use 3rd party dialers. I've tried them before but I find myself going back to the stock dialer.
But I found this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315779
Would this work for my S4 that is stilling running the stock 4.2.2 jelly bean? Of course I would have to root my phone, which is fine. Basically, what I am looking for is a rooted M919 S4, running stock 4.2.2. JB, with a dark color dialer and contacts. Help? Please?

Most pictures I've seen of KitKat have a black dialer. Come on T-Mobile, don't screw us over again and give us a white one when the upgrade rolls out. =)
Hi.
I've upgraded my Ascend P6 from B132 (JB 4.2.2 EmotionUI 1.6) to B510 (KK 4.4.2 EmotionUI 2.3).
Rom is fine, but unfortunately instead of light looking JB appearance, this new rom has terrible heavy appearance.
Tabs (for example in status bar, but in dialer or settings too)
- are always like this (look attached file)
- is this appearance is default KitKat? or because emotionUI?
- i'm looking for appearance like JB for example
- themes for emotionUI 2.3 don't change them (even color is always blue)
FAVOURITE CONTACTS (in contacts)
- photos are small and have big padding (space between them)
- is this appearance is default KitKat? or because emotionUI?
- i'm looking for appearance like JB for example (big photos without padding between them)
- themes for emotionUI 2.3 don't change them too
Is there any way to change this element or color of those?

If you like JellyBean, go back to JellyBean or try a custom ROM.
Good luck to you, not all people like the new, sometimes they like the old, or just plain classic.

Thanks for Your answer.
There is polish proverb "better is the enemy of the good". Sometimes it's true (of course not always).
I love KitKat & emui 2.3 functionality and features (new lockscreen, loading mode USB, etc.), only this new appearance (and only those 2 elements: tabs and fav contacts) is not good for me. That's why I want change it in KitKat/EmotionUI 2.3 instead revert to JB.
But if I don't find any way to resolve this, I'll back to JB (B132).
Now, I unpack emui default theme and studying that - maybe there is place to define appearance of those elements.
If I find I share this information here.
As it says above, because I can't find any BLACK keyboard with colored emojis and a top number row except the GS5 one but it's white.
Thanks!

I'm running Lewa OS v4 and It's great really, but I have two problems, I want the standard round black and white emoji, not the droid ones, Those are a really small collection. Also isn't there a way to get rid of the navigation bar? P.S For camera fix, I flashed Aguys camera patch xx
Hello,
I've just updated my M8 to Android 6.0. What surprised me was keyboard. White and eye hurting. I would like to change it back to old, dark one. As I searched through, it is possible to do that by changing theme to Material Dark, but I cannot find that.
Another thing is.. emojis. Ugly Samsung ones. :\ How could I change it to old ones?
Thank you for suggestions!
emoji free font theme
it changes it to the ones like the iphone
also it changes the font
the font itself is kinda stock and just fine
but you get the whatsapp /apple emoji's witch is awesome
