Windows 10 - Settings - Mobile and Sim - Windows 10 Mobile

I've got a verizon ATIV SE , in setting for Mobile & SIM when you go there it shows nothing. - its got a blue text saying learn more. thats it
i had it come up once ok but clicked on sim settings and it crashed and i've not seen it again.
The phone is unlocked. in dev mode
the phone is win 10 build - 10586.29

codes like *101*2# not working?

Hi experts
Whenever I dial codes like *101*2#, it keeps displaying "waiting". These were working before, but then it stopped and stacked at "waiting"
I tried in Nokia with same sim and it responded back with proper information.
I have installed different roms on my Hermes (SPV M3100) but it is not working.
I also confirmed from Mobile Operator company but they also said, it could be your mobile problem.
Any idea/help would be really appreciated.

Are you sure these are not JUST for nokia phones?

These codes are not phone specific. Instead these are Mobile Operator specific.
Like *101*2# is to check my remaining SMS bundle.
*111# is to check my remaining balance in Prepaid account.

Windows Mobile 6.5 23047 has broken codes support.
Wich dialer are you using????
default? i dont think so... if you are using another than the default, please open de advanced config... go to "phone" then in "skin" set "no"... "done" softreset coming then try again....
I can do it on my prepaid line too *133# it returns me my info correctly
I'm observing the behavior of these codes since some days and I've got to know that these codes are not working in some specific area, while working in another area.
In the area where these codes are not working, there are no mobile phone Jamming Devices or anything else. But this is highly security zone of the city.
But funny thing is, if I put same SIM in Nokia phone, these worked even in that high security area where my Orange SPV M3100 is not working. And this is where me and mobile operator are confused.
Windows Mobile 6.5 23047 have problem with ussd ( Unstructured Supplementary Service Data ) network messages *xxx#
We have same problem on TAI rom 23047 build ( for HTC Hermes )
Now im waiting for a new release to fix this problem...

My phone doesn't know my phone number

I don't know if it's going to be an issue eventually, i can still receive calls and make them, however, when i look in the settings. My number doesn't appear.
when i go in the information menu *#*#4636#*#* my number is blank as well.
Is this the same for everyone?

I have the same exact issue. *shrugs* someone at t-mobile said it was okay. I work for sprint, it doesn't sound right to me. Keep me updated and I'll keep you updated.

Mine is showing then phone number, do you have the updated sim card? And are you running a custom ROM?
if ur # isnt showing im guessing its something to do with sim card
Well they changed my SIM card when i bought the phone. That's all i can say, it's a different sim, the chip itselft is half the size than it used to be.

It won't cause any issues but it does have to do with the sim card. My phone says the same thing and has a new sim card as well. Call customer care and see if tech support has an answer for this.

Was the same for me (Telus). Some googling revealed that CM7 had a GUI option that could update the SIM card so I flashed that on my old Desire, put the SIM in it and set the phone number. Swapping the SIM back into the SG2X now correctly shows the phone number under My Number.
My number didn't show until I called a T-mo CSR and had them get rid of that blasted "web guard" crap. I noticed my number showed up sometime after the CSR intructed me to reboot and the 4hrs they said to wait for changes to take effect.

go to the contacts application
touch menu ( lower left button = )
more
settings
own numbers
menu
create
enter your number
optionally enter a name
touch save
power off the phone
power on the phone
verify the change by going to menu > settings > about phone > status : phone nr or *#*#4636#*#*

Can't Sign in to Windows Marketplace account

Hi everyone!
I'm not a new visitor here but posting for the first time.
Recently I got my hands on Nokia Lumia 710. I updated it to WM 7.8 and it was great. Kept using it for few days until I needed to capture my screen on Lumia 710 but I couldn't find any program/feature. I felt really disappointed. But today I gathered some nerve to unlock my device and did it successfully using Nokia Lumia 710 - A Layman's guide to install CUSTOM ROM posted by psquicker.
I successfully unlocked my device and can now use several different features.
Unfortunately came up with the problem that I cannot sign in to my Windows Marketplace account with my Windows Live ID. Can't even sign in to my Windows Live/Hotmail account under Email Accounts settings.
Error it shows, says:
Activation failed
We were trying to activate your phone without troubling you about it, but something went wrong, so we need some more information before we can continue. Tap Close and we'll explain.
When I click Close, it asks me to call Support.
The same error appears anywhere I try to sign in.
Note that I was using all the Windows services normally before unlocking the device.
Screenshots are attached.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi,
contact with Microsoft Live support ( Live chat with MS) .. ask activation code ... i to had same problem... not its solved ...
don't tell about your custom rom... just say your mobile need activation code...
Note : keep that code for future... whenever you hard reset your phone or flash ROM it ll ask again...

[Q] Red Pocket Mobile connection help

I recently got an already unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900T and I'm having a bit of trouble configuring the apn settings so I can use Red Pocket Mobile. I changed the 4g sim card for a voice and texting account. I did talk to them, but they basically just said to put a name on APN (such as gsmt) and set the apn as "wholesale" but it was still not connecting to Red Pocket. The configurations they offer on their website is for the s3, not for the note 3. Doesn't quite hep me very much When I try to enter the USSD code, I end up getting "Unable to process request". They said is my phone is stil not recognizing Rd Pocket mobile (the configuration from their google app isnt recognizing the sim card as well), then apparently my phone might not be unlocked, which is odd because, there is a rom on it. They also said everything was fine on their side (meanig, my account wit the sim card was all set). My phone does seem to recognize a sim card, but noot red pocket itself...

Soooo I am at a loss on how to go about using the phone for voice and texting and setting it up withRed Pocket. Nothing I try seem to be working. If anyone here can offer tips, helps, suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

Ok well, I didn't get any response haha but thaaatttt's ok. I figured out that the problem wasn't the phone, it was the sim card. Now I am able to text and such. Problem solved!

STK issue

I recently purchased a galaxy note 2 E250K phone. But it seems like there is either a software issue, or probably it is still locked
- everytime i boot up the phone, i get that annoying OLLEH logo (instead of the galaxy logo)
- when i try and access my vm from the number pad, the number 1 button does not have that voicemail icon, that indicates its a VM button, in addition, when i press and hold the 1 button, it asks me to create a speed dial, not enter the VM number
- when someone calls me, and i reject the call, it hangs up on them, not forward them to the VM
- i have some apps still show korean language, even though i changed the language to english
- i called my cell phone network provider, they have reset my account 6 times, no help
Any ideas of what can be done?
I was told that my phone could be still locked by a contract from the KT mobile provider in Korea
i am in a desperate state right now, since i have been looking for solution for a month now, and i cant find any.
Is there anything i can do here?
