Reboot. If mid-boot it asks for your pin to finish booting then you are still encrypted.

It does not, is there a reason why it says encrypted though?

I don't know. I'm not sure I understand where you are saying it says encrypted.
This is what my settings says:

uh no.
I just checked and installed wallet on my Verizon gn and installed no problem. Your play store may have not updated yet to new version. I am running slim 4.3 rooted.

I guess part of what I am wondering is why it says not compatible, but then let's me update.
New update is nice.

It's the market deciding compatibility based on your device name in your build.prop.
No big deal.

Yes, it is. Device to device communication. Turn it off and it will disappear.

means ur phone is 69ing with another one. LOL ...
nah, it means that ur NFC is in sharing mode. the normal NFC icon is read only mode.
There's no switch to turnit off. Even a the build prop edit wouldnt remove it. I was gonna try to remove the icons from the systemui.

Seriously, you dont have a switch for NFC in settings? It's under share and connect in settings if I recall correctly. You might want to look there as I think you are overcomplicating this simply because you haven't found where the option to turn it off is. I would think that you'd be more focused on how to turn it off as that is much simpler than actually removing the whole icon

I use Textra as well, I have the AT&T version and have not had any problems. I would suggest emailing the dev, they may have an easy answer for you.
With the app installed, go to setting >apps and then find tetra and then check the permissions section. Make sure the required permission is enabled there.

All permissions are good.
Running Textra on my Sprint Note 7 and have not seen that pop up. Do you have any security/virus protection apps installed?
No problems at all on my T-Mobile Note 7 w/Textra.
I've sent pix/GIFs/etc...... without any issues whatsoever.
Could possibly be an ad blocker acting up or,if you've disabled something using one of the disabler apps available..................
It was the overlay was turned off.

Most people would go into developer options to see if OEM unlocking can be turned on.
https://www.technipages.com/google-pixel-how-to-enable-usb-debugging
There should also be a SKU on the back of the phone, and Verizon lists:
G-2PW2100-021-A or G-2PW2100-021-B
I think it's also listed on the Product/Variant line in fastboot, and this image is probably the Google version:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/1...-partition-changes-and-new-fastboot-commands/
Yeah can't flip the bootloader switch so I'm screwed lol

You could look at it this way--if you have to be stuck on stock the Pixel is likely the best phone to be stuck on stock with.
Agree, thanks guys

More information is needed to point you in the right direction.
Did this happen as a result of something you just flashed to the device or it started happening randomly after it was working normally?
Can you load it into Download mode?
It's either a bad flash or a dying battery...

Yes, all info needed to modify this device has been posted many times over the years.
Not sure what your current knowledge is, but there's plenty of info available in these forums.
