Phone booting into safe mode after flashing Xposed - Wileyfox Swift

Hi.
I have a rooted Wileyfox Swift with Temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build v18.5 [2015-12-08] and Unofficial TWRP 2.8.7.1 which were all found on xda (thank you!)
I am an android enthusiast and attempted to flash the xposed framework. When it completed, I rebooted and the device went into safe mode. After soft rebooting, I launched xposed but it still said that the device was not supported (same as before) as it runs lollipop.
Please if anybody knows the answer let me know as I've used xposed previously and love it.
Thank you!

Have not tred on Temasek's ROM but I am using CM12.1 with Xposed. Ummm might I ask what Xposed did you Flash? Try flashing the latest version and see. Also wipe your dalvik cache and cache. That worked for me

Make sure it is Xposed v79 sdk 22 ARM64

Fixed it! Turns out I was using the 2.7 apk not 3.0 alpha!

NOTE: this is simply an unofficial build from the latest github sources. I claim no credit for anything other than doing a build and making a binary download available.
All credit to rovo89 for the amazing work he does. The official releases can be found in this thread
Xposed bootloops on Xperia Z3+ when installing a new ROM. Please see this thread for an explanation. The following commit fixes the problem (except for an initial two bootloops).
This build contains no modifications but includes the commit that is not available in the current v74 release. This enables Xposed to run on a custom ROM on Xperia Z3+.
Installation Instructions
Reboot to TWRP
Wipe cache and dalvik
Install xposed-v74-sdk21-arm64-dl12345-UNOFFICIAL-20150929.zip
Wipe cache and dalvik again for good measure
Reboot - it will bootloop twice. On the third boot you should be ok.
Install the XposedInstaller available for download from the official thread

Thanks! Been waiting for this. I'll revert with any hiccups I might encounter.
Thanks will try now
@dl12345
Would your build work work for the other 64bit xperia devices?
esp. Tbalet Z4?
I'm longing for XPrivacy...
Yes, it'll work. It's not device specific, just an arm64 build from the latest sources. XPrivacy works fine
Any feedback? Does this build work for you?
I've had 0 errors so far!
Just make sure to follow the guide (wipe cache + dalvik) and let the phone do it's thing. (2 bootloops, 3 boots)
Great, thanks for confirming
Success on Tablet Z4
All went well - flashed it with Flashfire since I have no TWRP.
Just played with Xprivacy

I'm doing everything as it says in the tutorial and it just won't work :/

I tried to used xposed-v74-sdk21-arm64-dl12345-UNOFFICIAL-20150929 on Sony Z4 tablet and did everything as it said in the tutorial ,but it still bootlooped.... So I used xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64to uninstall it on recovery. And then I used official xposed-v78-sdk23-arm64 and it show "E:updaterprocess ended with error=1". I reboot and I can't find xposed. Do I make any mistakes?

Have you gotten this to work eventually? I'm struggling to get Xposed to work properly on my Z4 Tablet (without causing it to randomly reboot), but so far v78 and v79 (SDK21, ARM64) cause a random reboot (black screen, red blinking LED and a full reboot).
Anything pre v78 probably won't work, because of the update notes on v78 that state problems due to security fixes from 5.1+ incorporated into 5.0.x are fixed in that build. I'm sure Sony is on tyhat boat as well, Stagefright's been fixed on the Z4T's 5.0.2 ROM..
How can I uninstall framework it is greyed out and I'm having trouble logging into snap chat

Xposed

Hello im on latest snapshot of cm12.1 and I want to ask how to install xposed on my device . I tried flashing xposed for 5.1 from xda but I ended up bootlooping. Thank you!
Flash the zip in recovery. Then install apk. good luck.
I think that's the zip that soft bricked my phone Anyway I'll try again thank you!
Have anyone tried that on latest snapshot?

I tried it yesterday when i flashed latest resurrection remix LP 5.1.1 ROM. It worked.
I used obb on sd module and it worked. Previously it also worked on one of the cm
snapshot builds. No bootloops. Maybe you are flashing any other kernel that is causing
bootloop. Clean flash once more. ROM+Xposed. If it boots then u can go on and install
gapps and any other addons.
Xposed v74 sdk22 makes bootloops on latest snapshot and v75 sdk22 doesn't. Tested and working fine. If You want more info about installing etc. I was writing about it in CM12.1 thread.

XPOSED FOR MARSHMALLOW bootloop

Hi guys. Big problem here. I tried several times to install that xposed module. Everytime it ended in a bootloop. I tried v78 and v79 both sdk23-arm64. Neither of them worked. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?(aslo, ask if you need any file, I'll provide them). Thanks in advance!

Nope, fresh install. Need to roll back to Lollipop.
Xposed only works on deodexed roms.
If you try to install on stock MM rom it doesn't work giving you bootloop.
There's a file on app and theme sub forum with deodexed apps that you can flash or just flash Genisys rom.
So i can flash the new Xposed v79 on my Genisys 3.4 Lg w/o problems? Thought only the in rom v78 is working?
v79 was just released.
But it should work on Genisys rom as v78.
Just make a backup or simply if something goes wrong flash the Uninstaller provided on xposed thread.
Ok guys. I will try later today. I'll tell you then the results.

I just upgraded Genisys 3.4 from xPosed 78 to 79. Since 3.4 came with 78 baked in, I did not expect this to work, but atm the phone has booted and is in the Optimizing app stage. I should be good to go.
BTW, I did do an xPosed Uninstall from twrp before installing 79.
Confirmed. This worked for me.

Sooo, guys, the only solution to my problem is to deodex the rom? There is no other way? OK, I'm trying this right now. I'll post the results.
update: Finally, it booted up. Now the problem is that deodexed rom has A LOT OF PROBLEMS (bluetooth, keyboard etc etc don't work). I'm wating another suggestions.

Hi,
are you sure about that? Xposed worked for me with the Lollipop stock rom but not with the Marshmallow (20A 25.11.2015) one on my H815. Can you point me to another source that states xposed won't work on LG stock roms. I can't find anything about that.
thx.
Yes i´m shure.
If that wasn`t true someone already should give you an answer.
See the post above yours that states that after flashing deodexed apps it started to work but have some problems.
Lollipop is not Marshmallow.
If it works on one it doesn`t mean it`s going to work on the other.
Same thing as root,on Lollipop you can get it without unlocking bootloader,on Marshmallow that`s just not possible for now.
I`m not pointing to any source because there`s no need for it.
Try iit for your self and you will have your answer since you seem not to believe the post mentioned here and what i told you.
Okay, calm down, everything is fine. I am well aware of the fact that Lollipop is not Marshmallow, but you stated xposed doesn't work on non deodexed roms which is a false statement since it works with stock LG Lollipop rom. Whatever, will have to wait till the custom roms get less buggy.
greets
I told it only works on deodexed rom because this thread as the title says "Xposed for Marshmallow" it's self explanatory.
I didn't thought I needed to be more specific.
I'm sorry for that, I'm not being rude.
Genisys rom is not buggy, it's very stable.
Other than that you have to wait for another xposed release to see if it works with non deodexed stock Marshmallow rom.
Cheers and happy holidays
Yeah, I see now how you meant it. Do you recommend Genisys rom?
happy holidays to you to
Yes.
Not because it's the only stock rom based still being manteined but because it's stable enough.

[MOD][FIX] Grorkmod (STABLE|SYSTEMLESS|LOS-Version)

Hello.
After many many tinkering and a small hint from @rovo89, finally i can present you the first stable version of the grorkmod.
Added v1.7 LineageOS-Version
Fix for bluetooth
Updated Audio_policy.conf will be copied. Result is a working audio.

Added v1.0 LineageOS-Version
Until the fix is integrated in the Rom, you can use the LOS-Version for a working fm-radio.
The Fix will add the following rights to selinux:
system_app fm_device:chr_file {write, read, open, ioctl}
This is a quick'n'dirty way.

Added v1.1 lite
In this version the fix is the same, but the script dont need an installed superuser. Also it will leave the system untouched.
Ive tested this version with Eragon v4.0 (With Gravitybox as testmodule, guess what... its working. Ive NOT tested if magisks will work properly with banking apps. please do it for me.

Review betaversions
In the past versions i have tried to workaround the problem.
At projectstart i have seen many audit denies. I tried to eliminate them with injecting allows to the sepolicy.
This was a part of the little success i had with the first versions. The other part was to set the classes internally to permissive.
These two components and the "bootprocesshack", in which i changed the sepolicy-binary in root, made the beta versions working.
The problem in the beta version was always, that in some cases the workaround didn't worked.

After an hint that @rovo89 gave me, i saw the problem in seconds, and.... *FACEPALM*
I've saw the problem and didn't saw it anyway.....
For a reason i don't know (maybe it's just a fault from Elephone or mediathek?) they "forget" to setup the contexts files not correctly.
With this mod i fix the entries in the seapp_contexts and file_contexts.
This is the whole magic.

old Projectdescription:
About
This is a solution to get the xposed framework running in enforcing mode AND keep it running after a reboot, dalvik cache wipe and installation of any app.
The main goal is for sure the working xposed framework in enforcing mode, but as we all noticed there are several issues that come with a script that only set the selinuxmode to permissive. That's the second part of this project, trying to not change the behaviour of apps like on stockrom.

Background
As i get the p9000 and installed eragon the first time, i installed the xposed framework as fast as i can and.... everything works? Installed modules and... nothing worked!? I tried some things to get it working, but with everything i tried, i had to take a smear.
Pretty annoying, isn't it?
I took a deeper look into selinux and tinkered.... and tinkered ... and tinkered!
Now i think it's time to share my stuff with this great community and i hope that i will help with my mod.

BEWARE/Disclaimer
If you don't know what selinux is, then i think you have to read a "little bit" about it. (pure linux stuff; non Android)
If you google it, then you find everything you need, to learn more about it. If you don't know what rooting is, then play Angrybirds instead.
Understand this:
SELinux is a abbreviation for Security Enhanced Linux. That isn't just a name, it's the programm.
With this mod you will loose the S in the name.
Please be sure you have made a backup from everything that's important for you.
I've done this mod in all conscience, but I'm not responsable for bricked devices. Realize it!
You have been warned! :good:

The idea behind
This mod installs setools binaries to /su/bin, so you use them on terminal with this mod. We need them to inject permissions to the sepolicy binary. The next problem is, that the original sepolicy is compiled into the kernel (rootfs). Thats why it will be overwritten on boot. If you inject permissions manually, they are gone with every reboot. So i wrote a script that injects permissions on boot to a patched (with superkernel) sepolicy binary and copy it to root.

Installing
Now the funny part! :highfive:
What you need
I tested this mod on Eragon v2.8 and Aerom V3.
So you need one of these Roms (i think it will also work on rooted stockrom and Darksense, cause the two three other based on stockrom)
superSu 2.74
xposed framework v85
and of course my mod (see the attachement).
How to
Download everything to your SDCard.
Make sure you have wiped your device, so you can start fresh. (I don't have tried, only to flash this mod.)
Dont reboot. If you reboot, then reboot into recovery again!
Install the rom of your choice. (If you install Eragon v2.8, then be sure to delete the script inside /system/etc/init.d)
Install SuperSu 2.74
Install XposedFramework v85
Install Grorkmod
After this step just reboot. And check if everything is fine.
If not then let me know!

ok, thanks. did a quick test with AeromV3. At first gravitybox, app settings, flat color keyboard* worked after a soft reboot. Ebay app also worked.
Then on next soft reboot there was 2 loops of optimizing apps and only gravity worked.
Shut off the phone and restarted, none worked. After what I have read that was expected.
Did a soft reboot in xposed, then loops of android is starting- optimizing app . after third loop i shutdown the phone and restarted. Then xposed did not work. Tried another soft reboot, this time no loop and xposed modules are working and ebay app works.

ok, will test eragon. It stopped working altogether now on AeromV3 after several soft reboots, shutdowns and normal reboots.
gravitybox seemed to work, but other modules seemed to stop. Disabled gravity but that did not seem to work.
Also the android starting, optimizing app message loops seems random.
Seems better on eragon. Works after normal reboot, and from powered off. Ebay also works.
edit2..
so after installing same apps and some reboots, xposed modules will not function sometimes. A few reboots and this time they came back working.
one app that does not work is amplify, maybe just coincidence but that one seems to brake the other when selected.

Right now got amplify working. This time did not enable it in xposed first, but rather ran the app then enabled it in xposed when it asked.

[HELP] Can't Install Xposed

Hello, everyone!
I'm facing a bootloop when i try to install xposed on my device!
I am on the latest stable release (9.5.6), I have magisk and twrp!
Could someone provide me a guide?
Thanks!
edit:
post it in the wrong section, could someone to transfer it to the right place?
The last version where Xposed was working is beta 8.3.4 if I remember correctly. Since then, I made a full log to rovo89, but that was like 2-3 months ago. So the only thing you can do right now is to wait, I can't find any unofficial version which would work with mix2/mi6 either.

No idea about MIUI but I'm running the Xposed Magisk module on top of Lineage OS and it runs fine. Maybe give that one a try instead of physically flashing it into your system partition.
