Please Help!!! - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Thanks guys, manged to unlock the screen remotely. everything is working fine and my data is safe wooooooow

Boot to download mode, I think there's a factory reset option in there. I'm going to check right now.
There is. Boot to download instead of recovery and factory reset is the very bottom option.

[Q] Cannot connect One x to PC

Hey all!
I'm a NOOB!...
I have rooted my phone, following some video on YouTube.. All went fine, then a friend told me to install Cmod 9.. Which would not allow me to boot into recovery. Anyway he did something to enable recovery, which has now left my phone in a state where I cannot connect to the computer.. The phone also has nothing on it to recover to, as it was wiped (silly I know). My question is, is there anyway to force connect to my pc, so I can upload a new ROM or am I completely stranded?
I know there are some pros out there and I would love to hear from you

Reflash the recovery.
Then boot into recovery and mount USB storage and you are back to life.

Thanks a lot my friend!
So for anyone else experiencing this problem
First of all I had no back up, I erased everything off of my phone and when physically connected to the pc, my device was not shown..(Unless I left it at the HTC logo, but only here my device would show up in faded grey in 'My Computer', when selected it would say 'device not ready!'
Once following the steps kindly provided above by Jonas2295 (Thank you)
Flash your recovery.
Boot into the boot loader by holding power + volume down button, until it resets into the boot menu.
Select recovery, navigate your way to ..... + Mount (I cannot remember, you will find it though)
Mount USB Storage
I found that my phone would only show up as a valid storage device on my PC when staying in that setting.. So do no navigate away from the 'mount USB Storage' setting once you have enabled it! Until you have transferred your new ROM on board.
I first used Coredroid, but that kept getting stuck at the beats logo. So I tried 'arhd' (Android Revolution HD)..
Once installing it did not look promising, as it staying at the HTC logo for about 5 minutes, then it came into play.
I now have a working HTC again
So thanks to again to Jonas2295 and hopefully by me asking this question, maybe more silly people like me can fix their HTC's
Good Luck!
You are welcome
Glad I could help you out if this situation!
Enjoy your recovered one x.

HTC M9 Newbie Out of her League

Hey guys. Brand new to the forum. I need your help! I have an M9 that has been sitting around for reasons I forgot... Which I am now reminded of. Prior to replacing the phone I had deleted a photo album and tried to recover it by downloading TWRP. Obviously... That didn't work and I ended up with a completely cleared out phone... Apparently OS included. When I try to boot the phone it is stuck on the HTC screen. When I try to enter recovery mode, Team Win pops up and tells me I have no OS. Please help a girl out. I have no idea what to do! Thanks in advance.

Htc m8 stuck on bootloop

Hi im new here and hope this is in the right place. I have a htc m8 on o2 network in the uk. Its basically not booting past the htc logo then it restarts again. I have booted into the boot loader via power button and volume down. When i go into recovery there is nothing to recover. Factory reset doesnt fix it niether does wipe the cache etc.... Tried them all. I have read a few guides and had a look at twrp but always get errors flashing them to phone. I also tried to do it via sd card but samr errors. Is anyone able to help me or advise me on what go do? My email is [email protected] if you wanted to email instead. Thank you for your time.

I had a similar issue once and it was the micro switch under the volume button itself being stuck. Have you had any issues with the volume sticking either up or down before?
No nothing like that m8. Ill double check that though.... i think its software issue..

Sorry it couldn't have been something as simple as that. May I suggest that you re-post your issue in the M8 help area of the forum located at, https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help ?
That area seems to receive more traffic by experienced users than this one, so hopefully someone can point you in the right direction as there aren't many dinosaurs like us left using "antique" novelty items like the M8 anymore.

Better to report the thread and the mods will move it. Otherwise, it doesn't really fix the problem (thread in the wrong place) but actually makes it worse (multiple threads in different sections, both asking the same question).
I'll ask the mods to move the thread.

Would be helpful to know what the errors say.
If it says "remote not allowed" it is because your bootloader is locked. It needs to be bootloader unlocked (via HTCDev.com), in order to flash custom recovery TWRP.

Moto G6 play bootloop

Hello fellow xdaians,
I own a moto g6 play for the past 2 years, I have never opened / unlocked the developer mode ever. Also never updated it. Past 2 days it has been restarting frequently, until today where it just got stuck in a BOOTLOOP. I have tried the usuals, wiping out cache/ factory reset. No luck and now suddenly I can’t get into recovery mode as it boot loops back to logo. Since I just made this acc it’s not allowing me to post a url but in my boot loader mode, it says oem locked, is there any way to unlock it . And any recommendations?
And where can I find my stock firmware ? Thank you

Sounds dead to me, go buy a phone
Their is a moto / lenovo flash tool but it will most likely fail, the motherboard is most likely gone.
