Yeah, i have it like that on mine. Can only really see it in the light. I assume it's oil from our skin or the texture wearing slightly more smooth with use.

I'm debating on returning it, Google is willing to swap it out for me, but Im sure it will happen again.

Mine's like that too, but if I take a damp cloth and wipe it down good, it mostly goes away.

Yeah wiping it down temporarily evens it out but at least in mine it returns. Scared to think of how this will look in 6 months. I'd recommend everyone complaining to LG, I don't think this is justifiable after a week of use

My ice has done it as well. Very difficult to see unless held at the perfect angle in light. My whole back is now this way except for right around the flash and lens. Sounds weird, but I like it. It has more grip now and is slightly darker. Some might not accept this but I have. It's a phone. I don't use a case. It's matte plastic. It gets used A LOT. It's not liquid titanium diamond sapphire plastic.

The only solution is to use a case or rubber gloves

Clean out the earpiece?

so after a year, the red on my ear piece is starting to fade a bit, but what's worse is under it is definitely some dust and/or gunk that i tried to get at with a toothpick but even that was too thick to fit in there..here's a pic. any idea how to clean it out?

A vacuum cleaner?
Its a beeyotch to clean... There's a piece of foam under there so even with the grill off (which is underneath the glass) its something that is tedious
ah damn. oh well, then i won't even bother trying lol,..i got some out with a toothpick atleast
if it's affecting sounds quality, I'd check with a refurb if still within a year, if not, oh well. adds character
I noticed mine gathering lint from the first few days of owning it. Kind of annoying, but it doesn't noticeably affect sound quality and it doesn't seem like there's an easy way to clean in there, so I'm not too concerned. When the phone was brand new, I was much more paranoid about making sure it stays in perfect condition.

My screen is starting to get dusty on the inside. I'm going to have to clean it soon, but I keep putting it off because it's such a process to make sure there is nothing on the screen before you put the phone back together.
I've been able to successfully return phones to Verizon due to dust under the screen. Its considered a manufacturing defect. It should not happen. Happens more often on Motorola's though.

[Q] Is the cover as flexible as the SGS2 one?

Hi,
I'm wondering if the back cover of the Galaxy Nexus is made of the same material as the back cover of the Galaxy S2. That one can be bent like crazy!
I'd prefer some video proof
Why would it matter?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Because I would like to know.
It is flexible, but only noticeable when it's off the phone. It feels exceptionally good on it.

Don't have an S2, but it is very flexible and this picture is about the point where I feel it would fold if I went much further.
That said, it feels fine on the phone and the phone is solid.

Oh yes the cover is very flexible. its amazing
I know you can fold the SGS2 cover completely, and it will spring back as if untouched

This video shows the S2 cover being bent completely in half and you can see it creases it some, but when bent back the other way it seems to flatten out. Can't see the back of the battery door afterward though so no way to see if it really stayed creased at all.
The Nexus cover is a bit more curved so it is a little bit more rigid, but still seems to be the same material. I am not going to try bending it that far though.

[Q] Screen Protector Membrane

Awhile back I bought a screen protector and it came in.
I read the instructions and everything, finally ready to apply.
I start applying and the first thing I notice is 3 layers of **** protecting the screen protector.
So eventually I ruined the first one because of dust and didn't know what ****ing layer was the screen protector.
I start on number two with a better attitude thinking I got this *****, the hell you know it gets screwed over. Apparently somewhere in between applying I bent the *****.. and this causes it to look like **** even then there was bubbles everywhere, where it says its bubble free
I don't even want to apply number three because I know something horribly will go wrong. Did anyone else use this brand and what was your experience?
I'd also like to note it did get scratched when applying the film too. Piece of **** companies
To top it off I got my case in too and it looks used, looks like a coffee stain on the back and was poorly cut.

Rock Quicksand hardcase

I just want to show you guys few pics with my new hardcase Quicksnad from Rock. I bought this on Ebay for 10 pounds. It's high quality, scratch resistant, giving you a very good grip, protecting your lens and back of SGS3. I did check few of hard cases, but this one is defo the best for me.

Thanks, I was convinced that the sgs3 didn't need a case but after seeing this, it doesn't look half bad. I might just get one.
I bought one too, and I really like the feel. However it does not fit my phone, one corner appears to be too short to go over the phone at that point and slips out. Poor QC
I've bought it too. Hope it will fit in a yomix pouch: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0076I5JS2
Nope, it doesn't fit in the Yomix. But the ROCK Quicksand fits perfekt on my S3 so I don't a Yomix.
Might have to look into this one not terrible looking

Not bad at all, doesn't add too much bulk either.
Looks pretty cool, i like the texture on it

Nagebee vs Ringke onyx case.

I have both cases in hand.
Nagebee is really bulky! Twice the thickness of the Ringke. Nagebee has a super deep finger print hole, it's like sinking your finger into a deep well, very uncomfortable. The Nagebee is also slippery even though it has a texture on the outside edges. The case is basically garbage in my opinion.
I like the Ringke case for now, very slim but I will be on the look out for more cases to be released that have a bit more rubber and shock absorption to them.

There's actually another thread for cases(where I posted pics of both with the phone in them) but I'll add that I have both these cases as well. And today was my first full day using the ringke case and loved it. Best case I've ever used.
Yes the nagebee is bulky but it'll protect your phone in case of a fall or something and that's the point of it basically. Im going to use the nagebee during my work days and the other one on the weekends.

I have the nagebee too, but I haven't been able to take it apart to put the phone in it. Plus without a tempered glass I will stick to the defender.
