Stock Rom Desire 820 CID Orange202 - Desire 820 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a rooted Desire 820 bought from Orange France, with a CID Orange202, whilst updating to Lollipop I accidently errased all data, including the OS. I can boot to bootloader (Hboot/Fastboot) and recovery. As I did not make a backup of the rom, i'm desperate to find anyone who may have compatible rom for this CID or the official stock rom to be able to put my phone back to zero.
I have un unlocked bootloader and modified software status, so needless to say the garantie is void.
Thank you in advance for any help.

I need it too :/

I search this rom too ..

I cant find a france rom for you. I think you have to find someone with desire 820 and the same Orange cid who is downloading the update and than copy and upload it to mega or something like that. Than you can rename the file to 0PFJIMG.zip, put it into the root of your extern sd card and boot into bootlader, the flashing will start.
Second posibility is, someone with the same os makes a twrp backup and make an upload for you.
Lollipop is basicly installed? Do you see the os number for lollipop on the bootloader screen?

I can't find the rom France either but I am in hope that some will backup the correct version of the same phone and upload somewhere.
Currently I'm in await of Gamerpoke who seems to have found a working ruu for my HTC and will be uploading shortly on another forum. I will join a link to this if it works correctly. In the meantime if anyone has the correct ruu i'll willingly try it...
Lollipop is not it installed at all, my os is 1.28.73.5 which corresponds with KK for orange France.

Did anyone find this rom ?

Do i need the GOLD CARD when I flash the
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.
My phone was shiped to Spain.
if you get this error, than yes you need a goldcard.
To make one is not that difficult, try to search for a goldcardtool.
Hey...
I got this error too but I had a goldcard in my phone!
just flashed the official 2.2 rooted!
Does anyone have an idea if there is a RUU that works with bootloader 0.80 without downgrading it to 0.75?
Thx
I have successfully debranded my 3 branded Desire with software version 1.22.771.1. Steps:
1. Make a goldcard.
2. With unrevoked3 root your phone.
3. Patch the /misc partition with update.zip (found on modaco forums, www .shadowchild. nl/fixmisc/update.zip).
4. Install RUU with goldcard in phone (you won't get error 140). I had to restart my phone with adb reboot bootloader.
5. Flash OTA update.zip from sdcard.
This worked for me.
Works with vodafone bloatware
Many, many thanks!! Like so many others, I downloaded vf's wonderful update(?). The partition patch worked like a dream - no more bootloader errors when trying to flash. I now have a working version of 1.21.405.2.

Flash unbranded ROM question

Hi everyone,
I bought an unlocked Desire HD, but I guess it's from German Vodafone.
Everything works fine etc, but I guess I rely on Vodafone for the latest update, isn't it?
I want to remove the carrier (Vodafone) stuff from my device. Is it possible to flash the original HTC (no carrier stuff) Rom on my device and also get the latest OTA from HTC, when it's available?
I searched via the forums already, but couldn't find a proper answer.
So I hope someone can help me

if you do a search on how to make a goldcard, once you have done that, you can just flash a generic htc ruu
Yes, although you may have to create a gold card first, also you don't say what your Firmware version is, but full instructions can be found here

Sorry, I'm on 1.39, fully rooted and Radio S-OFF & ENG S-OFF
Thanks for the help gonna search the gold card thingie
I went to Clockwork Recovery and selected "Select zip & update".
When it opens the zip it says: "Can't open the zip (bad)" and abort the whole thing.
I wanted to try a stock 1.32 rom, don't know what I'm doing wrong :-s
You do not do it in clockworkmod, but in bootloader. Just put the PD98IMG.zip to your SD card and reboot to bootloader. It will ask you automatically whether you want to flash.
OH i see
Thanks it worked ^^

[Q] Back to full stock with s-on

Hi guys,
need your help.
I have Europe M9, with S-ON.
Rooted it, and installed TWRP, installed custom rom.
How to revert it to full stock? I have sold the phone, and now buyer wants it back to way it were.
Thanks.
Thankfully it's pretty easy; just download your carrier specific RUU to restore to full stock. It's a Windows executable that completely wipes & return your phone to factory state.
I have bought it in Telenor Serbia it was on 1.32.401.15. Should I use any Europe RUU, or do I need to find one exact to match my carrier, and-or my firmware version?
sorry if being noob, but cannot understand this HTC's nonsense (s-on/s-off, cid, hboot...) thats the exact reason why I have sold it. to complicated for me...
I just want it up and running, and trust me, I will never EVER buy another HTC again.

Since there are two different versions of your firmware and I don't know which one is the correct one for you I would suggest you to use this firmware and downgrade to 1.32.401.8. This works because the aboot has not been updated until now. The process itself is very easy:
Download the RUU
Rename it to 0PJAIMG.zip (that's a zero at the beginning not an O)
Copy the file on an external SD card that is formatted to fat32 and not bigger than 32 gb
Boot into download mode
Follow the instructions that are shown on your M9's screen
Congratulation you are now back on stock rom and firmware
You have to use either this way or the fastboot flashing method since there are no RUU executables for the european version.
Btw: No one here forced you to buy the M9. Since it's simply a matter of taste it's up to you which device you choose. I personally prefer HTC's user friendliness in regard to bootloader unlock and rooting (compare it for example with Samsung's Knox system). But this is not the right place for that debate.
Edit: Since my phone is S-OFF I'm not completely sure but you might have to relock your bootloader or step 5 might no work properly.
I have the same problem, i wanna know how to restore it to full stock, i need it just in case something happens to phone and i need to use my waranty. I'm also on telenor serbia. Any detailed instructions would be much appreciated. And one more thing, will i be able to recevie OTA updates even though its rooted ?

Root by itself doesn't prevent OTAs, but changes to the recovery do. As far as I know, acquiring root (for this device) always involves flashing a custom recovery. So OTA aren't possible until the stock recovery is restored.
Do I need to have sd card, or can I flash it from pc using adb?
I have already tried this method, and fastboot gave me an error 22? Maybe I got wrong firmware. Will try again, thanks.

As far as I know, there is only one. Search in forums.
This is what I get when try to flash from adb.
used the file from post on first page,
try this RUU: http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...6.02.50306G_2_F_release_429340_signed_2_4.exe
I'm also interested if it's possible to go back to stock from a S-ON with RUU_HIMA_UHL_L50_SENSE70_HTC_Europe_1.32.401.17_Radio_01.01_U11440261_56.02.50306G_2_F_release_429340_signed_2_4.exe

If you are S-ON you can only flash a RUU for your carrier and device. If that's the correct RUU for your phone, it will do it.

The question is where can you find correct RUU from specific carrier
So if you're an European open you can't really flash without s off?

There is a RUU list in the General forum. Not all configurations have RUUs, unfortunately, as it has always been with HTC.

By far the easiest way for the inexperienced is to use the windows exe version linked to a few posts ago .
If you're on 1.32.401.15 then simply flash 1.32.401.17 using the exe version. Simply run windows program and follow on screen prompts .
Main limitation if you're S on is it will only allow upgrade that is to go to higher number as described .
I think there is also a 1.32.401.8 exe but that's an earlier version so if you tried to use that and you were on higher version such as 1.32.401.15 then it wouldn't allow unless you had obtained S off.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA Free mobile app
One more thing, i received lates OTA update, but it wont instal because recovery isnt stock. I found stock signed, when i flash it will the phone factory reset or not ?

Not able to get back to stock (One M8S)

Hi there,
This is my first thread here, so sorry if anything in this post is not correctly.
I got the following problem: I installed CM12.1 on my HTC One M8S (M8_QL_UL) but now i want to go back to stock. I bought the phone at Amazon (Germany) and it was sold as unbranded.
However when I tried to flash the stock firmware (from http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/one-m8s-general/make-custom-recovery-htc-one-m8s-t3114245) over Hboot it told me "wrong CID" and Large Image Fail.
Then I got myself the phone's CID and it came out that it was not the HTC Europe Version (I tried to install the Europe build with Android MM as I had that one before) but the T-Mobile-DE version.
So the problem is, that there is a firmware for the T-Mobile-DE one, but it is still Sense 6 with Lollipop and so I am not able to install that, since I already have had MM with sense 7 on that phone before.
Now I cannot find a MM build for the T-Mobile CID online.
Beside of that I created a Backup with TWRP before flashing CM12.1 but now TWRP does not recocnize that backup.
If possible I would prefer to install the Stock Rom "clean" because my backed up one was very buggy anyway.
So my question is, how can I get back to Stock? Is there any proper build to download? If not, is it possible to get S-Off for that phone, to change CID? Sunshine does not appear to be working for the M8S...
And if nothing like this works, how can I access my backup with TWRP?
Thank you so much, hopefully anyone could help me!
Cheers, Fietipaldi
Im in the same situation but for Vodafone. We need some updated RUUs on the site

Sim Card not working anymore after flashing

It´s a new HTC ONE M10 CDMA USA model which I orderd to europe. Software nr: 2.41.401.41 CID: HTC 001
After I had issues with updating, I tried to flash a custom Rom which didn´t work. After recovery my Network didn´t work. SIM, IMEI and Baseband gone. But I can still read it with adb.
I searched, tried for 2 nights already. Maybe I need just another RUU? I would be glad if my sim will work again.

You can't "just" flash a custom rom before doing some homework. You probably flashed a Oreo or Pie rom on your nougat firmware (2.41.401)
Easy fix. Download the 2.41.401 RUU.zip and rename it to 2PS6IMG.zip, copy it to the SDCARD and enter download mode, confirm to flash it. After the flash boot to the OS (sim won't work) hook it to the Wi-Fi and and start updating the OS to Oreo (3.16.401)
After that your sim will work again.

I dont´t find a working RUU zip. I have a 2.41.401 RUU.exe that I tried yesterday. the update 3.16.401 came. but it didn´t finish and a security error came up. Is there a way to convert the exe to a zip file?
[edit] I found a zip file now and I´ll try it with the SD Card method when the download is finished. but does it matter?
Thank you so much. :Sieg: It worked!!! The Sim and imai is recognised again. easy.... with just the RUU.exe ... its like you sad. after the RUU is set up the the ota update comes for android 8. The download took ages but the install was done in 10 minutes.
If someone in EU have the same issue just google: "RUU_PERFUM[email protected]61226_79.07_F_release_495903_signed_2.exe"
everything is self instructed. I suggest do not set up the phone too well (don´t sign up google, don´t set up fingerprint, don´t install and update apps). You just need to enter your wifi.
I guess that could be a reason that it doesn´t work the 1st time. So don´t get crazy and try to root or something like that. I even payd a chimera 3 day licence for nothing:dumm:.
