I heard it's pretty neat. No NFC required. Works pretty much everywhere CCs are accepted.

No. We do not have the proper antenna coil in our phone.

It is smaller and a little more refined than the TyTN's and does an excellent job at navigating.
Check it out..........
besides being smaller, it's more "rounded" in comparison to the tytn, so it feels much smaller in the hand/pocket.
i think the coolest thing in the open/close system, that has changed and is not the same comparing to the tytn/wizard. it feels rock solid.

yep, i did
i only played with it for a few minutes. i think i "bend" thingie is more solid than i thought it would be. besides that, i liked the positioning of the sim card slot. easier to access than the tytn. no need to get the battery out.

Where is the sim slot located then; like the microSD slot on the Hermes?
I will most definately go for this when it is available. The memory and the internal GPS antenna is the key for me.
When it'll arrives in the stores?

One of the rags indicate it will be released in August of 07. I have not seen an official announcement though.
There was a guy selling one not too far from me. I could have bought it but declined as I the only really desire pushing me was the one to have something as soon as it's out, (which isn't always the best ). He sold it Ebay for £390 which isn't too bad considering it's not out yet. I think the August date should be fairly accurate.

the sim is located on the sliding part. when you slide out to reveal the keyboard, it's behind the screen
the card slot is located on the sliding part as well, at the bottom of the device.
Whew.... nice device! I may be leaping...

Good. I am glad you said that. I am definately leaping. But if you leap as well, I can be assured that there will be some great enhancements for it. Fantastic news!

I saw one that said August. Frankly, I never believe any of them. When it comes, I will buy it (unless we start hearing some nighmare stories about it).
Anyone has any idea if T-Mobile is going to release it own branded HTC Kaiser (as MDA Vario III - for example)? My contract is going to finish around December/January, so I'd be happy to get an upgrade as xmas/new year gift.

Me too! YAY!
If only the screen was 640X480. I saw the Toshiba G900 at MEDC and couldn't believe it.
Might have to snag one of these! Looks like a pretty quality keyboard for such a cheap price!

Almost out of stock though.
I prefer my Verbatim one. It's pretty much full size when you unfold it.

Ummmm for other uses it'd be great maybe.... but didn't you read the last line?
"Note: This keyboard does not work with Android phones"
I have that keyboard and I can confirm it does work just fine. Older Android phones did not have HID support which is probably where that warning comes from. Our phone does have native HID support and it works beautifully. I even made a thread about it a while back.

Is it possible to use my phone as a key fob for my apartment complex? Or say my workplace?
I saw the big confirmed NFC list elsewhere, but was curious of anyone has tried or knows about this.
Thanks

This has been talked about before, no you cant, its not using the same technology. The easiest way to check this is to get the NFC reader for your phone and try to read whatever your trying to use, like a security card for the building, it will not read it and this will tell you its not the same. I had the same idea as at work I have a Prox II card to get in and around the building, tried to read it and it would not work, I checked the web and sure enough its not the same frequency or something along those lines. At this time its only good for paying at places that have the ability and messing with your own tags.
Where is the actual NFC device? Is it in the Battery?
Im curious if it's upgradable (aftermarket, of course) to add on more frequencies

For the S3 it is in the battery as you say. So an aftermarket battery will likely not have the NFC functionality in there that you would like.

Unless it specifies that it has a NFC chip in it. I know some do.

Hello, i didnt get a pen with mine, anyone selling his, or any idea where to buy legit one?
I got one a few months back on amazon.co.uk. I think it works really well. I use it for notes and sketching.
Search for m pen lite I think or mediapad m5 lite pen and it should be there.

It was £26.58. Not exactly cheap but I had factored in the cost when I bought the pad. Still worked out better value than a Samsung.

Excellent. Have you got a link? Can you let me know how you get on with it.
I would prefer to be able to buy it and have it shipped from a reliable source.
Be careful, a lot of scamming going on...

I checked the one I know of but only selling the Snapdragon variant.
He has N10+'s and maybe other models that are Exynos, not cheap but new, factory seal box.
If you can't talk to potential vendors on the phone or don't like what they say, avoid using them. Reputable ones have a phone and are accessible.
I was thinking about a used N20U but blew it off in part because of unreliable vendors. A new N10+ at $800 was a better deal for me. That fact that it's running on Android 10 sweeten the deal.
