LG G3 with CM 13 won't boot - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I just installed CM 13 and everything went smooth , but now I am stuck at this blue CM logo with the white eyes. Here is how it happened :
I completely wiped my phone with TWRP ,
I installed the newst CM 13 Nightly with TWRP , ( and did not reboot )
I installed GAPPS , then reboot
Everything was working well, until I tried to install SuperSU ( I did not know CM 13 gives root access )
I then Installed SuperSU 2.52 with TWRP , and reboot
Now I am stuck like I said above.
My phone wont turn off or go in recovery mode , no matter what buttons I press for minutes. I literally cant do **** and LG PC Suite does not find my phone.
I cant open the case of the phone easily because it is covered with a skin. I have to remove the whole skin , which was very expensive, to open the phone. Its really the last thing I want to do.
Please help me

I don't know how else you would turn off your phone, but with a battery removal. (maybe there's other way)
When u manage to do that, run it into recovery mode (TWRP) wipe everything like you did for installing CM 13 and GAPPS, just DON'T install SuperSU.
(I read it somewhere that you don't need SuperSU on CM 13, because it has built-in root access, which you can enable in developer options)
+ I couldn't get SuperSU to work on my CM 13 too, tried about 5-10times with different versions of SuperSU, always ended in bootloop(blue CM logo with the white eyes).

Your mistake was flashing SuperSu it is already built into Cm13 you just need to enable it. Has for opening the phone you will need to pull the battery I'm afraid one of the downsides of flashing roms is every now and then you may need to do a battery pull and if something goes wrong so you will need access to it.

the other option is to wait for the battery to die and then enter the recovery menu when it's charging. Good luck with that

if you stuck at boot, just flash the same nightly (probably in the cmupdater folder) and it wil work again.

Wait the battery die and press volume up button then connect to phone to PC. You can reach the downloading mode i think Then install TWRP...
Advanced wipe ( Cache, dalvic cache, data) Factory reset. Install Rom then Gapps.
Dont install supersu its already coming with the cm13...

Defy stops @ "android" logo

Hello,
I have a great problem with my Motorola. I installed battery icon mod without reading for which phone it's made and used it. Now I can't use my phone, because it's stopping at this logo before system. I had Cyanogenmod 7 (last nightly before RC), but when I destroyed it by this application first thing I did was wipe. After it nothing has changed, so I tried again and I flashed it with normal 2.2 Nordic but - as I "predicted" - nothing has changed again, but this time system was stopping at Android logo, not Cyanogenmod logo. I tried to flash again - nothing. The device can be charged (there appears this battery).
What should I do?

Go into the stock recovery and wipe data. Then re-flash the sbf.
I did it already, but I forgot, that I can do wipe after flashing the device I thought about it and did it - everything is working. Sorry for useless thread.
Regards.
I wanted to ask at the same time. What if i can't enter stock recovery. My phone's rooted , slightly overclocked , and i can't download any apps , i can't do factory reset , and even when i'm trying to enter it , the android pic would appear with that "danger - triangle". What should be done?

The triangle IS the stock recovery! when you see the triangle with the little android dude, hit both up and down volume at the same time. This will bring up a menu that will allow you to do a factory wipe.
And another question. I've installed custom recovery , and it said that install was succsesful , but when I apply recovery boot , it just reboots my phone , or lefts screen blacked out, at which case i have to turn on my phone by removing and applying battery.

Not sure I understand the questions, but I'll take a stab at it anyway:
Since we have a locked bl, the custom recovery does not overwrite the stock recovery.
As far as I know, the only way to get in to custom recovery, is to push the vol down when the blue light goes on during the boot cycle.

I don't think the guy has 2nd-init installed properly. Or the rooting was not done correctly. He must go into the stock recovery to perform the wipe/clear before he can proceed on flashing another sbf. I would suggest the OP to flash any froyo 2.2.2 then.
Rooting and CWM could easily get ruin if one doesn't install it properly. Next time please confirmed root is working by installing apps that required root access before attempting installing CWM. Suggesting 2nd-init v1.9 is good to start with as it fairly stable which also come build-in custom recovery.
he posted that he can not enter stock recovery. This is caused (probably) by a bad sbf flash. I would try flashing the sbf you said that you actually got to boot. A properly flashed sbf will give you stock recovery. Pull battery for 30 seconds re insert it, then hold vol- and power the phone on. Continue to hold vol- for 5 seconds or so. If you insert your battery and the phone automatically starts to boot then it is too late and you should have already been holding down vol- in which case you would want to press and continue to hold vol- prior to inserting the battery.

any ideas ppl ??
I have seen in the past, people who report successful sbf flashing with rsd but still no boot or recovery. None that I tried or anyone else tried to help ever got their phones to boot. You are in a bootloop after flashing a sbf because you need to wipe in stock recovery, BUT you don't have stock recovery! There is only so much that you can do without having recovery when you are in bootloop. Not to rain on your parade but I honestly believe it is some sort of hardware issue. If RSD reports that all CG md5 checksum's match after it flashes then you should have stock recovery. But you don't????? I think it is hardware
I'm begining to start thinking your rsdlite might be the root cause here.
You might need to try another PC to flash or trying another rsdlite version.
Were you flashing this in sbf format??
i d/l 2.3.3 85 and 112 with fix , same all freez on moto logo

I thought of this too however his situation isn't the first of its kind and other people with the same problem tried multiple combo's of RSD ver #s and different pc's with no success. Plus I would think if it were RSD problem it wouldn't reports a successful flash and then verify the flashed CG md5's. But I say definitely give it a shot on multiple different computers with multiple OS's! When I was having problems with RSD I started using sbf_flash in linux with GREAT success. Unfortunately this never helped anyone else with this problem! But anything is worth a shot.

Its not seem to be h/w problem, as its a brand new phone from box....
But i took phone home, gonna install new rsd and will try on other pc.
I will post results.
As i read more ppl with same problem.
I will post later details of what i hD in the phone before, maybe someone can identify the original region and sfb phone came with
o.k
i got some progress...
i installed on a reformated laptop , new rsd 5.5
installed drivers , and tested flashing the orange 112 version.
phone is powered up after flash and goes to recovery .
i then wiped all and wait , phone is powered up.
but after about 10-20 secs it reboots.
i then wiped again , and flashed nordic 2.2.2 version.
phone is powered up , also recovery and wipe.
phone kkep rebooting after few secs from full turn on.
i can access menu .
i guess this is better then not booting and no recovery.
what should i try now to fix the reboots ?

hmm. just seems weird that RSD would flash successful, verify CG md5s as "match" after flashing and still be the cause of the problem. I guess stranger things have happened! CRAPPY MOTOROLA SOFTWARE

well , from old razar motor crapy phones , had weird flashing problems , try flashing newer/older or different from original soft phone will not boot , go back to original soft , all is o.k ...
only flashed 2-3 defy , so i cant say its a weird problem for me , thought rsd did flash the files , and only phone freez after reboot.
but funny is now , after phone is booted and rooted again , installed cm7 again , and lol phone froze on google again (dejavu)
btw ,on recovery (stock) i getting all the time
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
????
anyhow , i folowed the guide in first stickly, i'll finish it exactly
How to fix it:
Download this SBF and Flash it
Root your Phone
Download 2nd Init 1.4.2 and Install ClockworkMod Recovery
Download and install this Nandroid Backup
Enter Recovery, Wipe Data/Cache
After wiping, turn off your phone
Turn it on and get immediately into Bootloader mode
Flash this Fixed SBF
Delete Data/Cache again and reboot.
You WONT be able to install full SBFs of any Éclair or Froyo since these Androids have lower CG Versions.
**NOTE*: I just rephrased the original post since it can be a bit confusing, it is linked as source below.
**NOTE2**: If you are using a non-Chinese defy, DO NOT USE THE CAMERA FLASH while on the Chinese rom, it WILL kill your LED.
Source: ((Original post here))
How to Install CM7 after Installing a Full Gingerbread SBF: Ok, first of all do all the steps above on "Installed full Gingerbread SBF and can’t go back to another rom"
Root your Defy (Using SuperOneClick 1.7 and not 1.9).
Install SystemRecovery from GoAPK. If you install 2nd init, you'll just get into a boot loop and have to start over.
Reboot to recovery. Do a factory wipe, then do the cache wipe.
Install CM7 .Zip and then gapps zip file. DO NOT wipe again, you'll just go back to 2.2.2 CEE (if you accidentally do this, you can pick up again from step 3).
profit!
thx
Well, after long play with it.... Something is realy weird!
No metter what rom im trying to flash, orher then the jordan one that worked, both 2.3.3 i try before now give me black screen, the 2.3.4 give me phone restart every 10 secs. And i cant seem to install cwm without hqving boot loops . ...
Ideas?
Delete all drivers and redownload and install then uninstall RSD Lite and reinstall to 4.9 ( Google it) then reboot your pc.. dont connect your defy yet do it later as its says in my little guide
then open RSD Lite and boot your defy to bootloader (Power + vol up) dont Connect defy yet.
choose nordic 2.2.2 in to RSD Lite then connect your Defy and let it install drivers.. then Press Start...
that worked for me wen i got lost and no one told me what to do soo i indprovise

MM 6.0.1 Xposed Update!

So, i recently have tried flashing Xposed on the MM 6.0.1 on G920P a.k.a Sprint S6
( ALL_SPT_G920PVPU3CPB6_G920PSPT3CPB6_CL7280193_QB8664149_REV02_user_low_ship.tar )
I have root and recovery, but Xposed doesnt seem to comply with me.
from multiple sources or builds.
And each Xposed file that i've tried so far that i've been flashing over and over again, rinse and repeat.
( Flash Stock through Odin, Go through setup process on the phone, Reboot Back to Download mode to Flash TWRP, Reboot, Back to TWRP to Flash Xposed, Once flashed i Restart it again, back to the s6 screen to becoming a black screen bootloop, thus having me restart the whole flashing process again )
from android file host website. And Default xda unofficialy build on this website.
xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64-by-romracer-20151218
xposed-v80.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160211 - ABDYASAR 7.8MB

It would go from the Galaxy S6 Boot Menu startup to black screen and bootloop back to the original BootMenu or screen.
NO LED cycles nothing, but i can access Download Mode and Recovery But Updating Nor Uninstalling doesn't do anything to the rom, it just keeps boot looping unless i Flash the Stock back into place.
I'd like to have Xposed working i havent found a version for me that would work for this but i would really appreciate if everyone could help out.

Did it work. Ive only noticed a tad bit longer boot up the 1st time but all good.
i've tried most of them and i tried v80.0 or v80 and i got one part success half i didnt which was from it i got to the LTE spectrum screen and it just would go past that before it would just be the led flashing and bglank screen, i waited about and hour and still nothin changed from that screen.
Nevermind i made an update
This is what i've managed so far.... what am i missing here?
So here's what i"d take place in order to attempt a flash of Xposed Framework.
I start with Pre- Downloading the files for the MM 6.0.1 Stock Rom, it's in the forums Somewhere.
TWRP ( New_S6_Spr_TWRP_MM_Bootloader2 ) a.k.a 3.0.1
(This is a special version only for the Sprint SM-G920P and is meant to be flashed with Odin)
SuperSU 2.68 a.k.a ( BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503 )
and obviously, Odin ( Odin3 v3.10 )
The steps that are taken place.
1st. I'd Boot my device into download/odin mode.
or
( while the device is powered off, i press and hold the home+power+volume down buttons.
and from there I'd be taken to a light blueish screen saying "Warning", and i follow through by pressing volume up)
2nd.
Once the device is in download/odin mode, and ready to go, i'd take my phone, plug it into my windows PC and open Odinv3 and from there
i'd select in odin, or i'd click the "AP" button and select the, tar file.
After that has been flashed thoroughly, I'd then proceed with the follow on screens, the 1st reboot and it updates or it says
Optimizing app 1 to 30.... the 2nd reboot where the hand free activation commences and
from that 3rd time it reboots and boots up again, i'd follow up with my login information.
3rd. once my device has been fully booted from the 2nd part, i'd then shut it down or restart it into "download mode again" and connect it to my pc again
and from there i'd load odin, and search or i'd find where I downloaded the special "TWRP .tar" or recovery file
and select the "Ap" option again and press start Afterwards.
After it flashes, right when its done i automatically hold the home+power+volume up buttons,
turn the device off and hold home+power+volume up and your should get some red text in the upper left hand corner with recovery not enforcing, that's okay dont be worried,
and from there it should boot into and be brought into TWRP...finally lol.
Now that's where you can flash SuperSU
4th. I'd leave my phone connected to my pc until, it's fully booting into twrp or i'd just connect it once im in the recovery.
I let my pc detect my phone and i'd copy both of these files.
SuperSU 2.68
and
Xposed
4th. After its copied, i'd go back into my phone, i tap install, and i select supersu and let it run, afterwards, i press reboot.
And let it sit for about another 2 minutes to do its own thing. Afterwards. once the phone is fully booted up.
I'd then go back into recovery, and flash Xposed and i'd wait about another 2-3 minutes for it to cycle
from the LTE Spectrum Screen to the, torquise colored screen where it's finally optimizing apps from 0 to 331.
5th. Once done, i'd finally have my advantage to install what i'd like which i'm doing as of right now still testing it out.
P.S if you do what i do for the SnapPrefs Module then i'd take in high note that before you flash the Xposed to download latest Snapchat 9.26
log in, once logged in then proceed with the rest and download XInstaller to downgrade from 9.26 to 9.17.1.0 to take full advantage of Snapprefs coolness.
upon note so far, after installing the modules, i rebooted my phone and it boots until it hits the LTE Spectrum screen and it has a light blueish pusling cycle and im stuck here.
maybe i can try another version. to be continued...
If you need any help feel free, i will try as best as i can, as i am a n00b but i have plenty of free time and have some decent knowledge about this.
After , i went back into recovery, i went to uninstall xposed thru the other flash file and its says optimizing 0 to 36 items and it booted so far, mayber after i flash the cache again and reinstall i should be fine but until further notice...tbc
Alright after a good amount of time i;ve finally concluded that the versions i;ve tired from xposed were the ones from the OFFICIAL thread and id always bootloop with that puling blue led and black screen, BUT with Wanams Xposed Version 80, and 79 they worked EXCEPT i can only get to the LTE SPecturm white boot screen and it does nothing from there BUT when i flash 80.1 it completely pulls through with the boot and completes but i had forgotten to mention that for some people on aanother thread that Xinstaller may leave you with bootloops and as it did for me thats exactly what happened. But i m still confused as to why the officials dont work by wanams does even after wiping cache, and dalvik cache multiple times and uninstall and reinstalling xposed.
Does yours still bootloop or did it finally pull through?

Android stuck in bootloop, already rooted

i have a rooted my android with the kingroot app and it worked perfectly. Had a Super User installed from another rootkit and then i decided to install SuperSU during the installation it asked me to remove the old one so i clicked ok and the installation finished, it then asked to to reboot. but when it rebooted the screen was just black but when i pressed the off button the turn off option, reboot options apeared like normal. so i turned my android off and went into recovery mode to restore to default and wipe cache. after all was done tried to restore but the phone wouldnt get pass the start up logo and eventually just turns off. i cant find a rom that i can install on my android, seems like CWM and TRWP all not supported by my android. i need your help. sorry for any mistakes was writing and trying to recollect everything.

Samsung S4 mini GT-I9192 Help with Cyanogen Mod 14 Booting Loop

So 3 days ago I updated my stock kitkat rom to CM 13, but I realised that marshmallow cant write on my sd so i tried a couple of fixes flashed on my device, namely the latest sd fix (2.9b) and so far so good except it didnt solved my problem, so I tried flashing the 1.9b version of the fix through recovery mode, after I finished flashing the TWRP apk asked me if I wanted to install the su apk, I didnt, so I clicked the reboot option instead except it didnt rebooted my phone so I held the power button until it turned off, next thing i know I tried turning my phone on and It gets stuck on the blue mascot booting animation for as long as I let it sit.
I already tried flashing a new CM (14) and factory resetting all to no avail, basically Im blind as to what i must do now. ANY help is welcome.
