Hi,
I am going to install cyanogenmod 12.1 accordingly to the instructions in this link/thread below.
My question is: my current build is WW_2.20.40.97 which is different from the build mentioned in the 1st post. Will this be a problem? If yes, how can I revert to that specific ROM?

if you have your bootloader unlocked you don't need to revert back
just follow the steps for flashing cm for the first time

How does a device "earn" or end up with official cyanogenmod nightlies? Would love to see that for our device for CM11 as we had it for CM10.2.

I always fail upgrading to official cm11
I also tried deleting the assert line but it still failed.
how can we fix this?

Hello, I have a little question here about the OTA update of CM11, there's no problem updating the system this way? Is it safe? I have TWPR in my kindle so I've asking myself if I have to download the ROM and flash it again with the recovery instead.
Thanks in advance for any reply.

If your not on a cm 11 release and are on a cm 10.2 or cm 10.1 ROM I would not recommend updating via ota, in believe you would need to factory reset and install a new gapps after flashing the rom if you are upgrading. If you are on a cm 11 build already then go for it, its kind of an interesting process because you get to see twrp do something we Don,t usually see it do(or at least I hadn't ever seen it do this before so it was kinda cool).

Hey all,
Does anyone know of an easy root that will work with the latest OTA updated KVT49L build?
I had high hopes and downloaded the Unified Android toolkit, but this build is not listed here.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt

First you need to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6k4rCaMPSQ8
Then you can flash a root zip http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=yTdUd-jlbP0

Current RR is an N rom. CleanSTOCK is MM. And is based on the most current stock version. Exactly what update are you asking about?

Like nightly
None of the MM roms get nightlies now. LineageOS 14.1 (An N rom) gets weekly updates.
