[SOLVED] No sound on 20B - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently went from AOSP back to LG's stock firmware because I wanted to test Genisys ROM 3.4. After flashing the ROM through TWRP everything was working fine except the fact that I now have absolutely no sound on my device.
I looked through the thread and some people recommended flashing from Stock 20B first, so I've gone through the process of flashing the Boot, System, Modem and Bootloader files in the thread by autoprime but even after doing this, I still have no sound.
Could anyone offer any kind of solution to this? I would be very, very grateful!
EDIT: Against my better instincts, I decided to flash the 10D modem that I still had on my sdcard, this solved the problem, hopefully for good!

[Q] How to successfully Restore / Flash Stock Based 4.4 ROMs on LG G2

Members,
Situation 1
TOT to ZVC - everything works properly
Successfully Installed TWRP through FreeGee
Took Backup of ZVC
Restored - No Boot
The phone would power on, stay at LG Logo and Notification LEDs would keep on blinking.
Flashed various ZVC Modems, but to no avail.
Situation 2
Clean Wipe
Flashed Stock Based 4.4 ROM
Flashed Modem
Heck, same as above. LG Logo with Notification LED blinking.
Now I understand maybe Autorec can be a solution, but I do not want to TOT again and lose all data.
The phone runs CM11, AOKP fine. It also runs ZVA based ROMs. It's ZVC that has gone for a toss.
Has someone been able to solve this?

The developers are working on getting a stock rooted base working. There have been lots of hiccups.
They are knocking heads together to figure out what the problem is.

after restoring KDZ, no "LG" apps ***SOLVED***

Hello friends. I need to explain this problem:
When I bought my phone for the first time, I remember when I made it a full wipe from shortcuts on the phone's buttons, LG applications are maintained.
Now after having rooted my phone, installed TWRP and have installed several roms, I have decided to re-stock with KDZ.
But the problem is that after having flashed the KDZ, LG applications has disappeared.
I'll put screenshot after performing a restore kdz:
***SOLVED***
Flashing original TOT Firmware contains complete firmware.
KDZ not contain all firmware.
I had a similar issue as yours back on my Galaxy s4, except it was the carrier apps (bell) that would be missing, and I also wouldn't get the "LTE" icon after a stock firmware flash if I was going from a rom that didn't already have the icon (weird I know).
Anyways I was able to fix the issue by doing a SECOND flash EVERYTIME I went back to stock rom.
I flashed 100's of times on my s4 and EVERYTIME I went back to stock I had to do 2 flashes or I would have "missing apps"
I never had this issue with my g3 yet, but I haven't tried to go back to stock yet since changing to cloudy rom.
I don't know if this fix will work for the g3 like it did on my s4, but it can't hurt to try.

exactly this happened to me when I try to install the ROM Cloudy, when I want to go back to stock with kdz, the LG system applications disappeared.
My question is this?
The KDZ not come with these pre-installed applications?
It is out of reach of KDZ, it will be in another folder outside SYSTEM.
It's strange, now my question is that will not see problems in an OTA update.
LOL, that strangest problem. :silly:
Solved Mystery...... Flash TOT contains complete stock firmware. :good:
KDZ not contain all firmware.

Signal loss every few seconds

Hello,
I upgraded my international LG to Lollipop. After a few days I decided to wipe and reinstall my firmware because of battery drain. Well, my phone is booting but I lose my signal every few seconds. Neither another reset nor restoring my nandroid backup is helping.
Can I do something else?
Edit:
Well, I managed to fix it after hours of searching. I just flashed the KK modem and it works great, even with Lollopop. Strange, but now I can actually call someone with my phone
If someone else has got this problem, I used the KK modem from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-lollipop-rooted-rom-skin1980-t2936022
You are on the wrong modem.
Either you are on a L rom with a KK modem, or a KK rom with an L modem - you need to flash a modem that matches your firmware.

[Q] boot loop after flashing baseband

tonight i decided to update my rom from Danvdh's 4.3 GPE to his 5.0 version. the update went flawlessly but i felt like wifi was very slow. i decided to flash my baseband from mk2 to nh7(sammobile). now, rather than seeing the lovely 5.0 bootup animation, my phone endlessly plays the tmobile bootup animation. i can't boot into recovery but i am able to boot into download mode
what was the problem with what i did? and what can i do to fix it?

what was the problem with what i did? and what can i do to fix it?
***** QUOTE ****
The main problem was probably that you didn't READ, there are several threads started as well as a QBot thread, that pertain to issues and problems (some major like phone replacement) concerning GPE 5.0. If you read these postings you would or wouldn't have an answer to your boot loops, or you would had figured out that this 5.0 update is trashing a bunch of phones and maybe I shouldn't flash it.
Only thing I can suggest is reflash again, it may fix it. ???
Pp.
i know this problem came from my lack of understanding. but it had nothing to do with 5.0 GPE...
anyways some point after rebooting/reflashing/flashing a root tar, i was able to get passed the tmobile animation and into the stock s4 setup. it was then that i realized that what i did was flash the stock rom, not just the baseband. i was finally able to get into recovery and wipe everything. flashed the 5.0 rom. everything works and now i actually have the nh7 baseband
Glad it worked out for you. Good recovery. Profit.

[Q] Possibly bricked g2 help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there guys i bought the sprint g2 quite a while ago and have been dangling with roms for quite some time on it the problem that i'm sharing with you guys arised today.
I flashed the newest version of Resurrection Remix 5.4.6 on it and while it worked buttery smooth it had no sound whatsoever and couldn't auto-rotate so i flashed the lp baseband and zv8 modem on it to see if it remedies that, no solution, so i reverted it back to 5.4.5 with my nand backup, it worked fine until i found out i couldn't d2w when it was working flawlessly before so i flashed(foolishly) the kitkat baseband and this leads me to the problem i'm sharing with you people.
My phone is now stuck in a bootloop restarting to the lg screen again and again, giving me a secure boot error on download mode so i can't use the .tot and .dll stock files on it and i can't seem to get into hard factory reset so i can just get into twrp and flash the lp baseband again and relieve me of this nightmare it also gives me multiple windows drives with one accessible one with an image folder when i go to download mode
[EDIT] fixed it somehow got into recovery and flashed the lp modem, can a mod close this?
