[Q] unroot nexus 7 without PC?

My nexus7 (2013) has a non functioning USB and I need to send it in for warranty repair. I cannot connect it to a PC and the otg cable no longer works
I used towel root to root, and then lock the bootloader today (originally used wugfresh to root, but after updating to 4.4.4 I lost root access) but am having trouble unrooting
Using super su the software hangs at the "uninstalling, please wait" message when trying to unroot
Is there a way to unroot the nexus 7 without a PC or the USB cable?
You can use OTA Rootkeeper to unroot, but what you're talking about is relocking the bootloader, which is related but different.
You could try this. I never have and so can't tell you if it works, but it's supposed to on the second-gen N7s.

The bootloader is locked, so that's not what I'm trying to do
I downloaded the ota rootkeeper (thanks for that, haven't dl that one yet) and it shows the device isn't rooted, root permission IS granted and system supports root protection
When I run root checker it shows device is rooted
Any idea how I can unroot so I can send back to asus and but appear to have rooted already?
Strange, OTA Rootkeeper should do the job. You clicked the button to delete su backup, right?
But as long as the bootloader is locked, don't worry about it. Put on a password so any repair techs can't boot into full Android. Odds are they wouldn't need to boot fully anyway, and if they did, when confronted with a password they'd just flash back to stock. They might do it anyway to ensure no problems from software. For this reason it's always advised to make backups before sending devices in.

[Q] Update platform.xml without root access

I flashed the 4.4.2 stock firmware on my phone to install our company's mailing client. This client is strict on rooted device so I don't want to root my phone. I want to replace platform.xml in my phone, would that be possible without the root access? Can it be done using Odin? I'm not sure if there's a way to change a specific file without rooting it.
Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!

[q] unroot without a computer?

So my LG G3 is messed and will not connect to my computer via USB. something is wrong with the port after it got fried while charging. I have the phone rooted and need to send it in for service. Is it possible to unroot and restore the phone to original condition without being able to connect it to a computer? I can get files onto it through LG suite via WIFI if need be.

If you have SuperSU installed, it has a unroot function.
How about re-locking the bootloader and installing stock recovery.
