I have my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 unlocked. I installed Xposed Installer.
I want to use the 3dot Mod to see how software buttons would be like but all it does is disable haptic feedback of the hardware keys.
I also tried using other apps from the Play store such as 'SoftKey Enabler' but none of them work.

I just got the note 3 coming for the note 2 and i love the phone but I've found an irritating issue with the note 3 S Finder. I've been able to uninstall it after rooting with titanium backup as there is no way to disable or remove while stock. now what i want to do is to be able to long press the menu button like i did with my note 2 and bring up Google now but after uninstalling S Finder and trying to create a tasker profile that would give me those results i cant seem to find how to input a hardware menu long press into tasker as the only long press option im given is camera button long press. Which the note 3 has no dedicated camera button. Any tips or ideas on how i can get my Google now back via a menu key long press?
No one has any ideas or suggestions that might be of some kind of help. I'd really appreciate it.

I totally understand your frustration. Also coming from a Note 2, I used Google Now quite often. So, what I, did was add Google Now shortcut to my locksceen. I got rid of the other shortcuts (email, camera, etc etc) and just put a Google Now shortcut. It works for me.

I use wanam xposed. And the xposed module . https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ma.wanam.xposed but i use double tap home for Google now.
Has Anyone tried freezing "finder" in titanium. Actually one more question, has anyone eels noticed Google now flash for a second before s finder pops up.. here's a video to show.. https://db.tt/b9Ed7YGh

I was even more frustrated, because I used to long press 'menu' button for in-app search OR as Google <Now> app shortcut on the home screen of Touchwiz.
So how to replace the S-Finder with Google search, how to return the Note 2 behavior (Google Now search + In-App Search when applicable):
1) Root the device
2) Install latest Xposed framework from the official website.
3) Launch Xposed framework, activate it and press reboot button in the app.
4) Launch Xposed framework, go to Repository, find the GravityBox module and install it. Sorry, I am not allowed to post links on this forum.
5) Return to Xposed framework, go to Modules, check the new installed GravityBox module.
6) Launch GravityBox app, go to Navigation buttons, select 'Long-press Menu button' and change the behavior to 'In-app search'. Go back.
That's it. Now you have that in-app search AND you have Google Now (or other preferred search app) on the home screen!
Hi friends. Just yesterday i've found something new (for me) and usefull: Key Remaping. You can remap a key to do what you want, for example i've disabled the wake option of vol buttons because i listen a lot of music and every time i change the volume then the phone wake up...
Now my question is about long press remap. I've tried to use google to find anything about that but no luck, and i want to remap the long press of volume buttons while screen is off to media control (previous track and next track) and camera button to play/pause.
I had a ROM with that option, but i got some problems with it and i've changed with another, but this new rom don't have that remaps.
How can i remap that buttons?.
Thanks.

Thanks for reply.
I've searched in apps section and I only found an exposed module and a framework, but with framework i've got bootloop. Finally I've installed ExistenZ Rom thathave that option
Greetings.
Up!!
I ask the same again :crying:
¿Someone knows what i've to edit in framework to do this?, because now i'm using another ROM and don't have this option. I know about Xposed Framework, but i want to learn how to do it without that...
Thanks!!
PDTA: I've read some post about how to do it, but for Galaxy SIII. I don't know if works on Xperia S too.
IMO - The few that i have tried - Theme Engine, Xposed Additionas, HDXPosed.
Anyone else found issues with using any?
Greenify works fine so far. Haven't tried others.
Greenify, GEL Settings (MoRe Google Now Launcher Settings) and XStana
I tried Xposed Additions to disable the firefly key but it doesnt register. I Contacted the person that made the plugin
I installed and activated HDXposed, how to we know it's working ? I keep getting Firefly and the amazon appstore reactivate by themself and auto-update. I try to desactivate the auto-update and nothing working so far. Do I need a another module ?
For deactivating: Titanium.
Nothing will bei anymore reactivate
For key remapping, I used Physical Button Music Control. I was able to remap volumes and camera button.
I tried remapping home, but it doesn't pick that home is getting pressed.

Can you post a link to that app? I can't find it in the app store.
I am using CM11 on my fire phone, and would like to map something to the camera quick launch button.
Is Xstana working? Sure I can change the icons but I still don't see the wifi/bluetooth and notification icons. Is there a way to make it work with fireos short of installing Cyanogenmod? Thanks
Enable haptic feedback for capacitive buttons:
This could work on all Samsung devices, but I have only tested on my Sprint S4 mini.
*This requires root.
*This requires xposed framework.
I searched around xda and other places to come up with a solution but couldn’t find one.
And even after downloading both the free and paid version of xposed additions, I still couldn’t force haptic feedback on my capacitive buttons.
But then I found an interesting setting in ES Task Manager (version 1.4.2).
If you open it, then hit the menu button, then choose power optimizer, then choose the “other” tab, you’ll see a haptic feedback on/off toggle.
I toggled it on and BOOM, haptic feedback on my capacitive buttons!
So to backtrack, I first went to xposed additions and chose both my capacitive buttons (menu and back).
Then I checked the “force haptic feedback” option for each one. Then made the change with es task.
This makes me think that ES task manager has access to something xposed additions does not?
So again, not sure if this will work on other Samsung devices, but it worked on my Sprint S4 mini (on KK 4.4.2)
Hope it helps you.
Hey hey
I've been with Samsung since the S3 and as such I'm so used to the menu button (as I had it with an xposed module on my Note 4) and I'd like to have it back on my Note 7, but due to safetynet, I can't have my phone rooted and still play Pokemon Go (And yes I do play that). Could someone please make a flashable zip that: App Switcher -> Menu, Long Press Home to Recent Apps, and Long Press Back to Kill foreground app. I'm willing to donate to the person who does it
Much Obliged

Thanks this is so close to perfect! But there's no Menu action listed :3
DELETED
Got the menu button working by using twrp to edit the generic.kl. Non-root method of setting live wallpaper on lockscreen is still open for donation (cause the non-root method doesn't work anymore).
