You need to find the app that is causing it and uninstall it in market, did you install Locale?
how can I know which app did this without uninstalling all then reinstalling to find the cause? Not very efficient.
Yes I bought locale.

What he said...retrace your steps in the Market App and one by one uninstall the most recent apps until you find the culprit.

Local has been known to cause this. Uninstall it, and also any plug-ins it installed and then check your app manager.
I've got the same problem. Also installed locale.
For now I cant be bothered to uninstall. But I can access Manage Applications via Task Manager (com.futonredemption.taskmanager).
Menu > More > Manage Applications
But if you find the culprit I'd be interested to know.
It prolly is locale + meeting plug-in
But since the phone is working well, and I can manage apps through app brain, I will not take any further action.
I have the same problem and have locale installed.
Slightly annoying - hopefully they will fix it.
You know what. I realized I have locale calendar plug in installed and turns out its a paid app. I found it on the net and thought it was a free app.
So maybe because its a "cracked" app I cannot access the manage applications.
Hello Guys,
I'm new in this Forum, and searched for my problem. Nothing found.
My problem is that many apps like Spotify wont save their data on an external memory. Do you know how to fix it? I'll be glad for your help.

Just grant permission in Settings -> Apps -> Spotify -> Permissions.
I organized some picture folders on my SD card and now in Gallery the pictures from the moved/renamed folders show a grey thumbnail with an exclamation mark. The path they show for details is still pointing to the old location. I have tried force closing and clearing data/ cache for Gallery app as well as rebooting the phone and it hasn't updated. Any other ideas? There must be a media cache in some other app or service.
Try to clear the data from "Media storage" and if you use an SD card, then also clear data from "external storage". Both are found in Apps -> show system apps and look for them. Restart the phone. It shuld be cleared up.
Thanks! That did it!

Clearing "Media Storage" & "external Storage" is working/ doing what we are looking for, such as refreshing the pic in Gallery App.
Unfortunately after that, the Apps that had permission to write to the SD are broked:crying:
Always have to reactivate permission to SD for all the app!! Very suck by Samsung, for it Gallery main app to dont be able to refresh easily!!
Also is there a way to automate clearing Data of that 2 system Apps?? I tryed Tasker App, but there is no option for Data clearing...
Doing it manually everyday is very frustrating...
Do you do it manually or automate the procedure??
Thx in advance
Not sure if this is something Samsung-specific, as the problem of not seeing media files that were added manually is generic.
What worked for me (Android 13 on Pixel 7 Pro) is this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kotorimura.refreshmediastore&hl=en&gl=US&pli=1
After I ran it, my Gallery shows the files that I added manually to various folders.
I've been trying to use my external flash drive for files but none of my apps, like Dolphin or PPSSPP can see anything but the internal storage files. Is there an app that can fix this? I'm rooted if that helps.
Is this due to file encryption?
I'm rooted and running AOSiP, which I hoped would give me some sort of option to read my external drive, but nothing.

Which apps are you using?
This works on Stock ROM
If it recognizes you OTG-USB
- Try es file explorer
- format it: Settings > Storage Tap the OTG-USB icon > Tap 3 dot menu > Tap settings > Tap format
Additionally, it wouldn't hurt to post this question on the AOSiP thread.

Thanks for the reply. I should clarify, I meant that apps like Dolphin or Retroarch don't allow me to view anything but internal storage.
File explorers have no issues with this, and I can navigate to the external flash drive.
I have been a victim of a strange thing recently.
I turned on an option in Developer Options to make all the applications movable to Secure Digital card and moved couple of them.
I disabled the option later and whenever I reboot the phone now I must uninstall at least ten of the applications because they are lost (data is saved).
Reinstalling the applications did not fix the problem nor did moving them back to Internal Storage previously.
What could this be?
Thank you in advance!
