ive read reports that Android MM did not fix MRA bug and i can now see it on my International Sim free G4 with latest official Android MM v20a from LG Bridge
why oh why have they not fixed this yet?
anyone else getting or know how i can minimise the bug?
I have v20B and it's the same....
On LP I didnt have this bug, battery life was pretty good. Since v20a its terrible, the same on v20b, MRA drains my battery while the phone is on standby. I've done few full wipes and its still the same. I really cannot understand how is it possible that they havent fixed it yet...
Same here. 20B has a huge battery drain even with screen off. I had to charge 2-3 times per day. Now im back to 10E and it seems that this bug isn't present here.

Hello All,
Just wanted everyone to know that there seems to be a problem with the Lollipop upgrades from LG. It is not a Sprint problem as when I did a Google search this morning users from all carriers are screaming. The problems mainly are:
- Slow charging - my G2 now takes several to get to a full charge where it used to take 1 hour.
- Fast Battery drain - the battery now lasts about 6 hours on average where before I could go all day with one charge.
- Slow Wifi speed - there are reports that this is caused by an implementation of IP6. There are ways to disable this if you are rooted.
- overheating - Phone gets really hot - when I am charging my phone the temps near the camera module get very toasty. It gets hot enough that I have to take the Otterbox case off to let it cool down.
I don't know when or if LG will fix the issue, just wanted you all to know what could happen before you upgrade.
I have none of these problems.
I also have none of these problems. My G2 battery life has been quite good on Lollipop so far, charges like it should, and isn't getting hot.
I'm getting 5hrs sot. I actually thought the battery was stuck a couple days ago. It sat all night and into the next morning at 100%. Idled all night on WiFi, took a couple pics in the morning as well as a call, browsed twitter and reddit, used the Starbucks app, and sent a picture through Textra. All while at 100%. I rebooting thinking it was wrong, but it started back up at 99%. 7hrs23min at 100%. Granted it's not going to be custom rom/kernel good but it's stock, so that's expected.
Did you factory reset after the OTA?
I ran the ZVE tot file, then side loaded the ZVA OTA with adb. Did a factory reset before booting and it's been great.
Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
No Problems here
I also have none of the issues, i think maybe all the people who were on zve already and got the ota are having problems.
Agreed, no problems here. Best advice is to take the update and then factory reset. Like "Alt-Ctrl-Delete" for your phone. Works wonders.
I had stock and sideloaded the ota zip. I wiped the dalvik cache before updating. I have none of these problems whatsoever. My only issue is with lg or sprint. Apparently, for whatever reason they decided to remove LG home themes settings.
None of these problems. You might factory reset. You could also TOT back to ZVE and redo the ZVG upgrade. Factory reset after ZVG upgrade.
No problems here either. I did not factory reset though I had TOTed back to ZVE a few days before updating.
No problems with mine, either. In fact, I went back to Optimus DE rom and my battery really started draining fast, barely lasting through the day. Then did ZVE tot flash and sideload ZVG update, and battery is back to lasting 2 days and charges normally. Now going to try UltraPOP....
I had problems with fast battery drain and slow charging when I upgraded to Lollipop
Per advice from here, I TOT'ed back to ZVE, wiped the cache, did a factory reset, sideloaded to Lollipop, and did another factory reset. The battery drain problem seems to be gone. I thought the slow charging was fixed but I'm still checking it.
I've got crazy bad lag. It only seems to happen when the phone has been on awhile. Clearing recent programs doesn't seem to make a difference. A reboot will clear it up, but it always comes back. I wish we could get AOSP + latest radios on this damned thing...

This one may be due simply to the memory issues in Lollipop (not G2 related). Lots of articles about the issue online. Unfortunately, no fix available (it remains to be seen if even Android 5.1 has resolved the issue)

My wifi speed has declined a lot under Lollipop. I'm rooted. How can I disable IP6 to see if that is the problem?

I don't see this lag at all. I updated via ota zip and cleared dalvik cache before updating. A factory reset will do you well.
Wifi speed increase
I used Disable IPv6 on my phone and it did not solve my speed and connection problems. Very low internet speed and from time to time dropping and then reconnecting to my home router. However, I disabled IPv6 on my router, and now my speed is back to normal. So disabling IPv6 on my router and my LG G2 seems to have resolved this lollipop bug.
Hello All
I recently flashed the CM12 release of Lollipop on my rooted LG Optimus G Pro E980.
Everything works fine. However, the battery drain due to msm_hsic_host is confusing to say the least.
This is supposed to be mobile network related, and I have read forums where people say that this goes away when the mobile network is shut. However, for me, I am at home and only using WiFi. The mobile data is OFF.
I went to sleep for about 8 hours and I woke up to find msm_hsic_host had using about 80% and the phone was only in deep sleep for less than 1% of the time.
The phone NEVER goes into deep sleep. Deep sleep contribution is only about 1% ! Why is this happening?
Also, NOTE that the CPU Frequency stays at 384 MHz for 90% of the time! In the picture, it shows as 69% because it was taken a few minutes after a reboot. What does this mean?
Battery Kernel wakeock screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/k6s0gl5s7/
Battery System Monitor screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/tq1pa1taf/
I have already hibernated Facebook, Skype, and another networking app. I am just lost. Why is the msm_hsic_host wakelock ON about 80% of the time?
Have you tried to disable google location services by setting it to GPS only? Disabling all sync? Also, try another CM build, or BlissPop.

Hi, Location Services was off. I turned off Sync and after 4.5 hours, msm_hsic_host is still at 87%.
My mobile data is off.
How to solve this?
To future readers;
I went back to my STOCK ROM on LG Optimus G Pro (LG E980 - Android 4.4.2) just to test this and the most remarkable thing happened.
The phone is mostly on Deep Sleep and msm_hsic_host is in 1%.
Therefore, I can conclude that the battery drain is a serious issue in CM12 (Android 5.0.2) ROM. Could some developers please take a look at this issue?
Here is the proof

I am about to try Blisspop ROM 5.1 for LG E980 next to see if this issue persists.
I installed Blisspop 3.6 now (Android 5.1.1) - However, following the exact same steps for installing BetterBatteryStats v 2.1 - it just wont't work.
It says, successfully installed as System App. Please reboot.
After reboot, the app says, "This is a companion app to BetterBatteryStats. It was copied to /system and stays there to grant permissions that can only be granted to system apps. This app has no functionality at all. You may need to reinstall BBS to get access to the app."
I even uninstalled and reinstalled using the recovery ZIP.
Has anyone tested BetterBatteryStats ob BLISSPOP 3.6? Please help.
Regards
Have you installed mad Mack's modem? Battery drain is a major issue for lp5.0.2, reason why Google releases 5.1.1 to fix the battery drain problem. However, 5.1.1 is may be only slightly improves the battery life. If you can get your service to deep sleep, then at least you can conserve some juice and keep it cool. Otherwise your phone is going to stay hot most of the time.

I have installed 5.1.1 with BLISSPOP 3.6. However, still the phone only gets to deep sleep 2% of the time. In my stock ROM (4.4.2), the deep sleep was on 80% of the time. I don't know why this is happening. This is very bad.
Could you please point me to "mad Mack's modem"? Which one to flash? Where is the link? Should this be done after installing Lollipop?
Even worse now BetterBatteryStats apk does not install on 5.1.1 Blisspop.
Regards
Unresolved
To future readers;
I finally managed to install Better Battery Stats and unsurprisingly, msm_hsic_host still dominates. 70%.
System deep sleep is about 2% of the time.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Check out page 1, it has some interesting tips on how to make your device go into the deep sleep. The link to madmack's modem is also in there. But before you begin, is your device e980? That modern is only intended for e980. So if you have something else, don't flash it.

I've done everything there. The modem in that thread is for CM10.2 and CM11 and the whole post is from 2014. Do you think it's normal to expect that to be compatible with the latest Blisspop ROM?
It works with cm12.x as well, I have seen many other cm12.x people use it as proof. Read the blisspop thread if you need verification. Though I have been told that it's optional on cm12 if your device can get deep sleep without it. As for me, it made my phone got that deep sleep I needed when I was using bp3.6.
Dear XDA. (LG-G3 D855 32GB, core version 3.4.0)
I can't imagine it will take you a minute to figure out the source of my problem and you'll see why in a sec.
Randomly, The "Android System" on Battery Usage drains the battery so fast it can take 40% of the battery within an hour on Pilot Mode.
The usage of the "Android System" takes even 70% of the usage of everything, needless to say much more than the screen.
Things that have been tryed till now on that order:
1. Deleting 1 app at a time and wait for few days for the defect to return - None of the apps as been possible to announce as problematic.
2. Upgrade from 4.4.2 version to 5.0 - Nothing.
3. Swiching to new original motherboard and battery - Still nothing.
Please try and help me figure out the source of the problem which from where I see it - Goodluck with that
Thanks.
The same problem in here, android system takes 66% in standby mode, only WiFi on. This morning UK time 6:42am till 9:03am, 30% of battery is gone. Phone wasn't used, what is the problem with system?
have you guys tried doing a clean rom install via lg flashtool?if not then try that.if the problem still exists.try changing the bttery.
Hi, no clean rom yet, but brand new battery
"Swiching to new original motherboard and battery - Still nothing."
I have changed the battery, the motherboard and even the android version and nothing helped.
The android versions are the officials version by LG in Israel which were installed by the official supplier in Insrael, plus those version were installed to thousand of people and haven't find even one with that problem.
Needless to say it occurs on both versions.
Today in standby only last over 6 hours, crap,
128gb-man did try flash something else, different rom
Hey Guys,
With my G4 i can get about 2h of Display on Time. While using (Browsing, Youtube, Streaming, Whats App) it gets extremly hot and the Battery drains from 100 to 0 in less than 2 Hours.
I already tried stock 20a, stock 20d, Impierum 20d and 20i... i also tried different kernels with different settings... My latest attempt of changing the battery also had no effect...
Actually im Running 20i with Xposed and Root...
I appreciate any solution suggests
