---UPDATE 12/2/15---
I CAN PERSONALLY CONFIRM THAT A 128GB SD CARD WORKS ON THE LG E980 RUNNING SlimLP I AM SO EXCITED
-------
I posted this in the Q&A Thread as well but nobody responded and I would really like some input but anyway, I purchased a 128GB micro SD card yesterday and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this will work with SlimLP or similar custom ROMs on our device?

Okay will do. Glad to be of some assistance to my fellow XDA users!!!! Since in the US yesterday they had lots of deals and such I figured I'd purchase some technology and saw a decent price for the SD card so I was like why not. I'll post back with my findings.

SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Card
I bot from amazon here:

Hi guys. It looks like every geek user has to be microsd scammed on his life... and yes, it happened to me!
I've bought a MicroSD card on eBay from an ITALIAN SELLER with LOTS of feedback points... it was listed as Samsung PRO Micro SD 64 GB.
Well...it was a fake! It's a 8 GB card modified to appear as 64 GB to the system.
I tested it with H2testw ...
This time the fake was EPIC. The retail package was REALLY similar to the genuine one (Look the attached photo!)
The only differences where in some graphic details!
I've made a video to warn users about this card and help to spot FAKE cards:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAiqv_QE7NY
Please share it and be careful !!!!! Obviously I had my money back and I reported the user to ebay.

I've been refunded, but I wanna warn users!
Who buys a Samsung PRO card, is for taking photos or videos....store big files...
Well: imagine that you put this card on your phone and go on vacantion....you shoot photos and.....nothing!
The photos are all lost!
55 GB are FAKE... 8 GB real... it's PURE CRAP !!!
The eBay seller where I bought it, has sold other 7 cards.....and now is selling A-Data cards (maybe fake too)......
Just look on eBay and you'll find lots of Samsung Pro fakes... :crying:
Thanks for the heads up!!! As a matter of fact, I remember reading in head-fi forum people were complaining about problems with Samsung 64GB card, wonder if it's related to the same thing...

I don't know: the Samsung PRO scam is really new... They used to scam with the Samsung ESSENTIAL series and Sandisk cards.
Samsung has to do something... like some kind of logo/sticker impossible to clone, to certify the genuine product...
thanks I was literally going to buy one on Ebay. Might as well go to Walmart instead <.<

Thanks for the heads up.
I see that it also says USH-I instead of UHS-1.

Ment to write "UHS" at both places - but got the order wrong on one of them.
Hard to make a point ...
The difference however were, naturally, that the fake one have got "I" and the original one "1".
Sorry for messing up the post.
Thanks for the warning, I'm about to buy a 64gb microSD.
fake or not
This card fake or not?
made in taiwan
I've just purchased a microsd card that has speed rating UHS-3. I was wondering if the G4 actually supports this?
I've seen a topic and UHS-1 but not 3, any experience and/or figures would be great.
If you've bought it already, why don't you go and check it out?

So, I've been looking for evidence that the e5606 (with support for US LTE) is actually being offered for sale anywhere. So far, I've only seen the other two versions. Has anyone else seen it for sale?

I have been looking for it, too. Sony CS ****ing sucks and won't give me any answers about it. If you look at Sony Mexico's page, they note the M5 is about to drop there, and I think they use the same LTE bands, so they may be seeing the M5 E5606 before us. Might have to get one from Mexico.
I just found it on a web l i n i o . c o m .... There you can get the e5606. I'm going to get it soon too after like half year waiting for it.

Any US buyers get it from Linio? I'm thinking of getting one, but I wanted to see what Sony reveals at MWC first.

I ended up buying the international E5653 version. On ATT my HSPA+ is blazing fast, but no LTE. I purchased from Expansys which actually showed ATT LTE as supported, but I'm sure it depends on your city. It's a shame. I love this phone so I'll probably just rock it on HSPA+ until I get something better.
I don't know if this is still of help to you but I got an M5 model this week and it is an E5606. I am not exactly sure how to check if mine is compatible with US LTE, though, or what that is even (I'm a total noob at this, I just came here to find a way to root this damned thing).
Why is mithycal or better than the other versions?
Just in case anyone is still interested. Amazon has these in stock now. I can confirm my E5606 works with my ATT LTE; just got it yesterday. I'm guessing they got a bunch that didn't sell in Latin America. IMO Sony should have released this in the states to begin with. I appreciate this phone so much more with LTE. Just gotta get Marshmallow now.

US LTE. It was released in Latin America and couldn't be easily found. The international version (E5653) doesn't support US LTE.
I know that people have confirmed to have done it on the 128GB Version, but I was wondering if anyone has flashed the global ROM on the 256GB Version of the phone?
Another question that isn't really related to this particular one, and for people on Verizon, how is the phone on Verizon? Are there any issues you are having or had before hand? I am very interested in buying the phone, which is why I am asking. One last question, and this is miscellaneous really, is what ROM would you recommend flashing?

I've never worked with them, which was why I asked
I've heard that their Post Purchase Support is..."Not the best" to put it nicely, but I think that is to be expected.
