Any of you guys tried this card with Desire?
Would like to know if it's worth it...
I think the "speed class" of it or whatever is on 2. If that makes any difference.
@Mods, if this thread is posted in wrong place, please move it. Thank you!
The maximum storage capacity on the Desire is 32GB so I don't see why not.
Please search before posting next time.
speed class for me makes a difference asi use the camer and video. higher class = higher potential transfer speeds
Opps sorry about that. Totally forgot about searching :S
The memory card that came with the Desire is only class 2 anyway so just gauge it by that.
Yes, I'm using one. No problems at all. And I'll be getting a 32gb one when they become available in a few weeks, at about £100, as opposed to SanDisk charging £150 now.
@92sky
Funny that you mention 32gb, because I looked around and couldn't find any :S All I could find were 16gb
@Alex
Yes I'm aware of that, but is it really that noticeable IRL? or more of the benchmark munching nitpicking diffs?

Expansys, Play.com, MyMemory and Mobile Fun are all listing it at around £99, for late April/early May delivery. I phoned Mobile Fun yesterday who said that it was due now, but has been delayed because of the volcano.
Oh thx mate! Gonna have a look there then.
EVERYTHING is delayed because of the lil' ol' cano it seems.
My Desire included (The phone that is)

At my age, my desire is always delayed.
I am using 16 GB micro sd card, class 6 ... and it is really worth it
@92sky
I won't even ask LOL
Odd, could find 32gb only at expansys, and they didn't have any price point on that...
@gogol
Aren't they expensive like there is no tomorrow?
Using a 16gb class 6 sandisk as well and I have to agree it works like a charm.
I remember reading somewhere that 32gb sdhc cards aren't supported atm, but will be shortly on the desire.
Not sure though, but do a search for it before you plunge into forking out the cash for one of those.
I do remember reading, either here or on another forum, that someone had bought their 32gb direct from SanDisk, and said it worked with no problems.
I've got a SanDisk 16GB Class 2 card, works fine, no issues with speed at all

Same here. Don't see a reason for a faster card.

That was me, Sandisk is selling them exclusively through their online stores in the US (and I think the UK too now).
32GB card working just fine, loving it.

I believe you can't format them in the phone, according to one report I saw, but otherwise they function as you would expect.
Argh choices choices!
I think for now, I gonna go and get meself a 16gb class 2, should suffice until the better ones comes out...

But these test are relevant to benchmark read/write speed of PC accessing microSD card? It's a good idea, but smartphone controller will not access this card at the same speed as your computer. I wonder if they have mobile version of CDM. Will search for it.
yes computer readers is usually faster but you could try in-phone connected by usb.

But in-phone connected doesn't appear as a logical drive. In order to use CDM, you need to have a mounted logical drive. Note 2 connects as MTP or PTP, not usb mass storage. There is no way around it, unless you have some ideas?
didn't know, pretty uncomfortable.
I just received mine today. Did you happen to format to fat32 orrrr what did you do?

I didn't format it; just used it as is. Sorry, I know you mentioned in your PM that it can make a difference with a rooted N2. Since mine is stock, perhaps someone else can chime in with format recommendation?
I was wondering about this too as I went ahead and purchased the Amazon one. It says it is being delivered today. If it didn't work out the box, I was going to format it to Fat32 and just deal with the file size limitation but I'm glad the exFat works with this card. Can't wait to load it all up with HD pics / vids of my new baby daughter being born any day now. Thanks for the review
Could someone remind me of what exFat is.
Btw. ...When I got my 64g. ...Two different recoveries didn't recognize my 64g (right out of the box) I formatted to fat32 and it "found" it. Anyone else wanna chime in on this....
Other than reminding me of what exFat is

Btw, stay tuned for Sandisk Wireless Media Drive and Flash Drive reviews
Just read it in another post. As you guys/gals might be aware, Best Buy does a full price match of Amazon products. So, never mind BB price tag of $200, you can show them at the checkout a price on Amazon and they should match $119. Of course, can't guarantee they might have it in stock (considering on Amazon its already 4-6 wk waiting), but hopefully you can pay and pick it up later or make them send it to your home.
Great review .. Hope to be able to buy this one day
and it's a microSDXC, not microSDHC. microSDHC maximum is 32gb (be aware 64gb microSDHC fakes).
For anybody who is interested, I just posted a review of Sandisk Connect Wireless Flash and Media drivers. Equally great product for external storage with wireless connection: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681713

Good review, wonder if the Note 3 is compatible as well. Was considering buying it once it released but I hesitated.
I'm planning on buying this phone via AliExpress (there's no way to get it other than this in my area). I had the "Eternal Team." seller in mind. Can anybody tell me about the things I need to look out for and if it's possible to root the phone and get EU firmware on it? This will be my first android phone so any advice/tutorials are welcome. I also used willmyphonework.net to check if the network works in the Netherlands and everything seems fine
Most Aliexpress sellers will flash the phone prior to shopping with the WW firmware so that you will have Google play installed and read any reviews on the seller you are looking at ordering from, and make sure the order page lists every item on your order otherwise the Ali guarantee is worthless

Forgive me. Not trying to hijack his post. But I have similar question. I am in us. I looked at amazon. I want the 32 or 64 g model w 4g ram. Amazon has some note warning about not selling the phone right now due to some error in advertising.?? It's confusing.
You mentioned a reshipped. Do you mean reseller? Is there anything in model number I should be aware of to make sure I get us version? Thanks for any help!

I'm afraid that will leave me at a price in the 300 euro, I would be better of buying an other device if so. Did you eventually get the device shipped?
Yes I got the device and to be fair it works fine. Just be aware the delays can be considerable and aliexpress support is non existant.
I have since purchased a second device for a friend from Amazon US using a reshipping company which was a much more positive experience.
I'm guessing you want to avoid taxes so Eternal are a good option in that regard as they did allow me to specify a price that they put on the package which went through without issue.

I posted this in the Q&A Thread as well but nobody responded and I would really like some input but anyway, I purchased a 128GB micro SD card yesterday and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this will work with SlimLP or similar custom ROMs on our device?

Okay will do. Glad to be of some assistance to my fellow XDA users!!!! Since in the US yesterday they had lots of deals and such I figured I'd purchase some technology and saw a decent price for the SD card so I was like why not. I'll post back with my findings.

I've taken the plunge and ordered the CN version. When shopping for an M pen I came across a couple of sellers with pens that they say are only for the Chinese version.
Is this true? Do I need a different M pen just because it's the Chinese version and not international?
Thanks
Joe

According to the customer q&a section in this Amazon listing https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-M-Pen-Mate-EVR-AL00-Gray/dp/B07KBF9Q61 even though some pens are advertised to "only" work with the Chinese EVR-AL00 version, ppl have responded that it works with global EVR-L29 too
Thanks for this clarification. Much appreciated.

well yes at least to me, open box means someone opened it and then i cant be sure if its completely new or user return or sth but factory sealed means you are the first hand to open it since you pay alot of money for it lol
sadly enough, wondamobile and tradingshenzen both open the boxes and when i asked the later for a sealed factory they said we wont give you warranty then
I've only read them opening the boxes to put Google play on it. Which I can understand as it's beyond the skillz of most users to get the 3 apks on and working. But yes I see what you mean. I guess you could tell.be looking at battery charge cycles and stuff as to whether it had been used previously.

And how exactly would you get the battery cycles count on a current Emui device that has been reset? Exactly, you can't.

I got my AL00 yesterday. It was an unopened box. Lots of Chinese stuff but enough things in English to let me get started.
I added Google Play after some searching around on how to do it. Hopefully all sorted now.
And a pen that was stated to be for the international version works fine with the Chinese one.
