samsung jack i637 on landscape mode and if you want to know how to get this to work on your phone replied to this thread.
How did you do that? can you change the arrow keys to, so Up is left, down is right, etc?
thanks
yes i can do all of that
great, how?
its a app i made
that im still working on because some themes you use on your phone will somtimes not look right but the rst is fine just fixing that part
I am having a problem with the space not being responsive when using the phone in landscape mode it is fine in portrait. i have tried calibrating and also with different software and its always the same the space bar just refuses to respond 80% of the time. is there anyway of fixing this as i like the rom as its lightning quick but have had to revert to stock as this is a major issue for me. I have googled but found nothing of interest. I have tried the 2 latest stable builds and the latest rc and its the same in all builds. is there a version of cynogen where this iosnt an issue?
Flip the phone to the right instead of the left.

thats not how i use the phone im not left handed and need the buttons on the right so using the phone upside down isnt really a fix. is this prevalent in all versions?
The keyboard stay the same, no matter which way the phone is held. The only difference is the camera and volume buttons are on the bottom.
There are already heaps of threads/questions about this.

the buttons would then be on the left and not the right ie the screen would have to be upside down for the keyboard to respond correctly Im to use to flipping the screen the way i do and also used to the buttons being on the right. is there no fix for this?
Sometimes this has happened to me and I was wondering on how to fix it and if anyone else has had this issue. Recently when I am in an app and I try to use my Hard keyboard if I press any of these keys it launches an app
(e - email
l - calender
p - don't recall.
g - gmail)
Anyone else see this ever. Usually I just use the onscreen keyboard when this happens and later it works again. This happened to me in the facebook app and also in dolphin browser.

Check Applications --> Quick Launch and see if you have any keys assigned to those apps.
It's my quick launch I think my search key was acting like it was pressed even though it wasn't. Thank you. Most have been stuck. Thank you.
It happens when you press the app key once by accident on the top left of the keyboard. Press it again and it turns off the shortcuts.
The app key? Which one is that? This happens to me a lot and I just mash on the keyboard until it goes away. I also am having problems with the keyboard not working at all. Sometimes I open the phone up and the whole keyboard stops working and I have to reboot the phone.
Also once I was on Dolphin browser and I was logging into Google plus and my numbers were acting funny. I could not press the ALT button to activate the numbers I had to hold the ALT then press the numbers. I thought that was weird.

Do you know any way to disable Quick Launch? Or maybe disabling all the pre-assigned things? --Do Not Want--
Thanks

Long press on the shortcut and it should give you an option to clear it.

The default shortcuts are the search button plus a letter. It happened to me once, and after pushing the search button on the top right of my keyboard a few times, everything started working fine again. Hope that helps.

Keyboard not working...at all
Hey all
CM11, official with apps installed the Captivate Glide physical keyboard is hit or miss. Since the physical keyboard is the WHOLE REASON to try to modify this older phone, its functionality is important. Physical keyboard ALT commands (#'s etc) do not work in any application. The letter keys works...sometimes. I have used default keyboard settings and have no idea whehter there is a fix on the main CM11 thread.
Many thansk!:good:
Alt is a non stick key

Well the thing is alt in cm11 is not a sticky key but its non stick . What i mean by that is that if you wanna type '1'. Keep 'ALT' pressed and hit the number '1' in blue on the keyboard. the alt key dosent seem to stick for some reason.
this is actually cause of the google ime treating our physical qwerty as a desktop keyboard i think where alt is also non stick.

"Alt" doesn't work at all -- even if held during typing. I will keep searching for keyboard fixes I guess. Since the keyboard is 100% of the reason to use the Captivate Glide, it's utility is a major issue. Many thanks for your reply!
Hi
The letter p is no longer responding on my touch key board. I can press many times and no response.
Also the backspace button is not that responsive.
What's the best way to fix this? Is there something I Can change in the settings or do I need to have the hardware repaired?
Thanks.

Hello everyone, I worked out a solution myself so I thought I would share it with the rest of you.
a google search would suggest that I should try another keyboard, and having tried a few this made no difference. what i then realised was that I have an app called sidebar installed which was on the bottom right hand side of my screen and was affecting the p button as well as the backspace button. I have moved the sidebar outside of the keyboard range so it's no longer an issue now. Thabjs.

Hi, today in the morning i noticed an issue with the touchscreen, especially, on the left edge. I noticed that issue while i was writing and trying to switch the key of numbers and letters.
While i try to write and press "?123 or ABC" key, sometimes it doesn't work and i have to press twice.
Have u ever noticed something similar? I have tried by changing the keyboard, restarting, calibrating and I can't fix the issue.
Thanks in advance.

same too , I hope it is not a hardware's issue.
I have the same problem. In my case, the other side of the touchscreen has the same issue as well (Gboard enter button). Did you guys check the touch sensor test (the one in diagnostics menu -> additional tools)? It seems that only two squares are affected. The left and right outermost square in the penultimate row. Try tapping fast, it's sometimes not registering. I really hope this is not a hardware issue though...
Have you tried to disable screenshot gesture? Please try it and report if the issue are resolved. I don't have a rdm8pro but on other redmi i have the same issue and the screenshot gesture of miui create the problem.

Unfortunately it didn't help. The issue is still present.

I already did it. I could observe the same problem while performing the test. I just want to know if it's a widespread issue before I return my phone.

it's exactly the same in my case , I have noticed that more happens if you touch repeatedly in the middle of the screen and then at the ends
sorry for bad english
I went to a local Mi Store earlier today and the unit they have on display suffered from the same touch screen issue. I don't think replacing the device would help as it seems that a large amount of them might be having the same problem. If anyone's device is functioning correctly, please let us know.
This is just in the corners , I noticed to.. when I want to press 123 to go to numeric pad, I noticed that the screen dont react in some times..that not the screen issue, this is more like ..I dont know how to explain it on English..but everything is ok with screen when you press the right place..
Try press this line that I marked on this screenshot and you will se that the display is not responding.. this is not hardware or software error.. this is jus the line on keyboard that have no function and not react when you touch it. But when you touch right place on number 123.. everything is ok..
So ..your phone and everyone else is working fine.
Also this is just happened on keyboard..on other apps, this place on screen also like in CIT test working..

Try touching the highlighted tiles and then compare it to other ones. Look at the attached screenshots.

the touches have to be fast, if you make them slow the problem "disappears"

You mean you are unable to access this particular test? Just tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen when you get to the CIT test menu. Then select 'Additional tools'. Tap the 8th item on that list which says 'Touch sensor' and you will be greeted with that test screen.
apparently if it was a software problem, update a few minutes ago and the problem seems to have been resolved
