Hi guys i have a p600 note 10.1 on stock JB, and i am looking for a good and simple video recording app that will let me record video in 480p using the front camera and let me save it to external sd. The native one has 1080 and 720p options only which consume too much mbs.
Could anyone suggest a good app that would let me do that. I dont mind if its a paid app. Thanks

what about down sampling the 720p video to 480p?
---------- Post added at 07:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 AM ----------
i used vidtrim pro to take a 1280x720p video and transcoded it to a 854x480p video. the original file was 16mb and the transcoded file was 1.3mb. also that was with quality set to high. so the size could go smaller also.

Thank you for the suggestion but i need something that records direct 480p as i need it for recording very long videos, probably 3-4hours worth and at 720p it will use up more than prob 30gb. Thankrg

Doubt it, you'd have better results using a video editor to make it slow motion.

Doubtful, you'd be better off taking normal 720p video and putting it in a video editor program and adding slow mo like that. Even $300 Point and shoot cameras that have the option of taking slow mo lower the resolution to something like 3-5 MP's and the XP camera isn't really that good.

I doubt it,but even if it was, the video would be extremely dark and blurry
picture or video?
if you mean picture, try fast burst camera https://market.android.com/details?id=com.spritefish.fastburstcameralite&feature=search_result there's also a full version of that..
if you mean video to record them slomo, maybe you need a super power..
I had a LG Viewty at some point and that phone could shoot 120 pics a second and yeah it was dark and blurry unless you shot in sunlight. It was a fun little feature, but not really usefull and i would think it would be the same for the play.

Is there an Editor for android?
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
Afaik there aint one for android per se. Samsung made one for some of their devices running android. Someone ripped it and posted the apk and files here on xda. I tried it on my HTC Desire HD when I had that phone. It didn't work as it needed something in the touchwiz framework.

I was recording a high school soccer match using the stock video recorder. I mistakenly assumed the fast motion option was recording something like a sporting event.
So now the videos are in fast time. Is there a way to edit the speed of recorded videos?

Is it me or does the mobile YouTube app Max out at 1080p? Ever since I got this phone I updated my Channel with 2k videos. But I try to change the resolution gear and only goes up to 1080p. Any help appreciated.

Download YouTube Downloader from XDA then you can download 2k videos straight to your phone from YouTube! That's what I do and it looks fantastic.

Just got a refurb unit of the 10.1 and so far so good. One problem I noticed is the YouTube app will only only play you tube videos at a max of 720 and I can't figure out for the life of me why? I have the latest you tube app updated and even downgraded to older versions. Anyone else have this issue or know how I can fix this?

Does it player higher quality on any of your other devices? Because mines does not. Which means its google and not our tablets.
Of course it does. My lg g3 plays up to 1440p. My 2 year old 2012 nexus 7 plays 720p with only a 720p display. It's making me think this device only has a 720p display but that can't be possible.

Anybody find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem with my sm-t520 and my note 3 plays 1080p resolution videos.
