I am sure this has been covered before but I need to ask a question regarding the odexed 4.18.401.2 image, boot image and recovery image. After I download those from Mike's links is there a particular order in which they need to be flashed my phone is relocked and always in fastboot so I can't copy to sdcard. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
You need custom recovery at first try philz recovery ...then also erase the cache in fast boot...should all work

Thanks for your reply, do I need to unlock the bootloader before flashing philz recovery or can I just flash it in locked?
As nogotaclu has said, you need to unlock bootloader first

Thanks again, not wishing to be a pain just need to get the steps right so I don't screw it up.
Unlock the bootloader then
Falsh Philz recovery.img for the htc one x then
Do I lock the bootloader again or leave it unlocked before I flash the odexed.img then the boot.img?
No problem to help you. Just leave the bootloader open, to avoid confusion.

Thanks again, much appreciated, so this will bring me back to stock 4.22 sense 5 ROM so I can receive, if any, OTA updates?
I am used to rooting Samsung and flashing ROMS so easy but HTC seem to have a different approach, I simply did as I did with my old Samsung and soft bricked my HTC lol. Doh!
They aren't the same phones so you can't do that... And yes so you can get back to stock for the ota

Hey guys,
sorry for making a new thread but i can't post in development forum at the moment.
My problem now is that my HOX doesn't recognize my SIM Card after flashing this build http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49258404&postcount=610 from @scotte9999
I did a dirty flash, just wiped cache/dalvik cache.
Should i maybe try a clean install or is there a better solution?
Greets Adrian.

Hi frendz
i brought htc one x not at&t...its just htc one x
its android 4.0.4 htc sense 4.1 software no. 2.17.401.2
baseband version 2.1204.135.2
but it is not showing available update saying after checking...your phone is up to date
i am really disappointed...pls help
Is it a locked device, what recovery is present?
gesendet mit dem HTC One x!
The recovery has nothing to do with availability of updates.....maybe it's a rooted stock Rom or so which couldn't connect to HTC server...and if completely stock try a full wipe and try to update then...
But also say if it's locked device or not

Dear frend
its my brand new phone
i wanted official update
as i read on gsmarena that it upgradable to jelly bean
though first it is updated to slightly hihger sense version.....android is still 4.0.04......and now saying ur phone is up to date....i hvnt rooted it yet
Try a full wipe or delete the cache in all apps and frameworks in settings/apps ..then reboot and it should work...there is a solution like that ...if it's a bit wrong Google it...easy to find!

Hey guys I have a short question,
If you have debranded your M8 ( especially if you had a German O2-Branding) does your LTE still work? I want to debrand mine, but in our german forum some guys reported that their LTE isn't working after debranding with S-OFF and making the device a free device with a CID HTC__102 and Softwarenumber of 1.54.401.3.
Thanks in advance

Does the carrier for CID__102 support LTE?
Also the equal sign is used in a statement, not a question.
Yes, of course it does. The people with a free device with HTC__102 are able to receive and support LTE.

I flashed the GPE RUU and have super cid/S-off (UK)
No issues with LTE here

I can promise you that my debranded O2 device still uses LTE
Things I did:
-S-Off
-SuperCID
-Flash 1.54.401.5 WWE Firmware
-Flash modified HBoot
-Set CID back to O2___102
Absolutely no problems.
And now you are going to get the Updates by HTC?

No, I am not stock anymore since day 1
Since o2 Germany is not the most used Carrier here, I went to the german thread.
Oh okay haha
But if you want to get the update from HTC if you hear that there's an offical/free Update, you simply go back to stock and get the update because you have the free WWE Firmware 1.54.401.5 right?
Gesendet von meinem HTC One_M8 mit Tapatalk
OP, you do not need to set the phone back to the o2 CID, you're safe to leave it as HTC__102 - what's the point using the o2 DE CID if you're now unbranded? If you're S-OFF you could follow this guide I did to be 100% stock and still S-OFF and you'd get all updates from HTC not o2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735235
Thx Eddy, but that was the Problem in the German Forum: LTE wasn't working... But thx

That's one possibility.
But the kost likely and simple for me is to wait 1-2 days, and the firmware is available here to flash via fastboot.
e.g. @Sensor1 was so keen to upload the 1.54.206.5 Firmware, so I assume he uses also German O2 M8.

The only one in Thread who did set back O2___102 was me, but I'm not the OP
I just did it because I flashes Faux modded HBoot with showing Locked and S-On, so it looks stock on first view. In meantime, I could change because I flashed H/K ADSP image.

I was just making the OP aware that you don't have to change back to the o2 CID that you said to do I do see what you mean, though

I think it's recommended to be s-off, but you don't have to. Just make sure your on the latest firmware.

Right now there is no longer a free way to get S-off but if you have the money it is worth it. And no there won't be an issue. Just do a full wipe.
