Hi all- I have an unlocked version of Z5 Premium and have upgraded them from Z3+/Z3 (I had both).
On both the Z3+ and Z3, I was able to use (and currently use) the new Android Pay app (not the wallet app). However, when I received the Z5 and tried to add the same credit card that works with Z3+ to the Android Pay app, I get the error message:
"Android Pay cannot be used. Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible."
I've checked both the Z3+ and Z5 and the Android version were the same. Recently, the Android version has been upgraded on the Z5 to 5.1.1, but still I'm unable to register the credit card that works on the Z3+.
If anyone has a solution to this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Same for me... I should say on the 6p I had this issue but I was rooted. With unrooted, Z5P, I get the same message

It isn't just you, it's happening to all the Z5Ps for some reason. I assume it also happens with the regular Z5. Not sure what's preventing us from using it, but all I know is that it doesn't matter whether you're rooted or not. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update soon. I've gotten used to having mobile payments and it's pretty inconvenient to need to pull whatever card from my wallet now.
SafetyNet isn't validating for some reason.

My post on the sonymobile talk forums had a reply from a Sony mod.

SO Android Pay is out, and since we lost ISIS/SoftCard we have been without Tap and Pay. It says that Android pay should work on any NFC Android phone KitKat or above. I installed the app and made sure I have the latest Google Services, which I do, but I keep getting an Android Pay Unavailable error when I try to run it. Has Anyone had any luck. I have a Note 3 with stock Deoxed Rom Rooted and Xposed.

Same issue for me. Actually found services 8.1.14(238) and get same issue and am stock. I have unlocked the BL in the past though if that becomes info we need to see to understand this. Would be curious what luck a 100% stock and never messed sorta T-Mo person would have.

It won't work on a rooted system. It also won't work if xposed is installed...even with root cloak. I think you have to be 100% stock unrooted and odexed. I really hope I'm wrong here, but that seems to be the case.

I am 100% stock and get Samsung updates and the like. I had rommed prior and so had unlocked the BL, but am now 100% stock again other than the BL security flag that knows I once had BL unlocked. Getting this same exact message.
I have to assume this fist release of Pay has yet to address the missing tap to pay sorta NFC stuff on our T-Mo Note 3's and is basically won't load on our devices as it knows it won't work. Probably why none of us have seen Wallet upgrade to Pay in the Play Store just yet or got the services 8 upgrade without doing it manually. They probably need updated still to make our devices work.
The SM-N900T never had a locked bootloader. You may be referring to the knox flag, which shouldn't matter.

Yeah...meant the Knox flag...other than tripping that awhileven back I am 100% stock again...recovery and all. Never realized the BL was always unlocked on this. I have just tried Google Services 8.1.15 and still the same error.....seems the base Pay app is still not compatible with all NFC capable hardware yet probably. I'm sure this is why I can load the new wallet app from Play, but still don't see the Pay upgrade to the old one.
New Pay app and still no luck...same Pay Unavailable error. This build of Pay may have added support for some devices other than ours though...

3rd play build still no good....the Play Store page for Pay now shows up and old Wallet is gone. The Pay page says my device is not compatible....so the NFC nonsense must will be an issue...so annoying they can't get this working.
Then they shouldn't say that it will work on any device with 4.4.4 and above with nfc because that is clearly a lie
Yeah....seemingly they should have said "Our goal is to" rather than it "It will" as if it would be good to go for everyone out of the gate.
Note 3 will not support android pay, ever...or samsung pay?
This is something I have researched for a while. It appears that the note 3 was built with an NFC not capable of host card emulation, which google wallet and now android pay depends upon. The work around I am hoping for is to pair a gear s2 with my note 3 and get samsung pay loaded somehow, so I can tap and pay with the watch. I was linked to a page by AT&T support that listed the note 3 as a non supported device on Google's android pay site.
[SIM unlocked] LG D693n Stylus turned "partially" SIM unlocked after Super-Sume
I think this is weird enough for a new thread: I recently got this G3 Stylus and, as usual, I proceeded on rooting. This time using KingRoot. Done easily, I must admit. Now, since KingRoot installed some unwanted and "unreadable" stuff, I've turned my sight over Super-Sume (you know what it does)... Super-Sume performed it's job as expected, replacing everything it has to with Supersu. Following the process and right after reboot, something weird happend: my installed SIM card appeared as an "invalid SIM card". Rebooted again and still the same message. Turned off the phone, took the SIM card out, reinstalled, turned on again... same message. Device had lost network connection, but it was able to send and receive data!!!... started research about the particular issue, but found nothing similar anywhere. Then I've tried three SIM cards from different carriers and they worked flawlessly. Installed the "invalid SIM card" again (which is from the phone's original carrier, BTW) and the issue was still there. Then, about 12 hours later, data was lost as well and SIM became useless in this phone. Tested another card from the very same carrier and it was useless to; however, this two cards worked perfectly on three different phones, so not a card issue. Contacted Super-Sume developer and he told me there's NO relation between his app and such kind of issue. OK. Contacted carrier and they know nothing. OK. Next, I resolved to look for some hint at "Replace Kinguser with SuperSu" XDA thread, where fellow member "CVangelo" suggested to check if phone asks for unlock code. Well, it does. So the phone is SIM locked after all, but JUST FOR ONE CARRIER!!! which happens to be the phone's original carrier. Not to blame Super-Sume for the mess. Perhaps is a "gift" left from KingRoot due to getting rid of it. Or perhaps is just coincidental. Point is, this is clearly a weird issue as most of you can see; at least until somebody rises her/his hand with an explanation. Who's first?

Only thing I would say is that it is network locked but in the exact reverse of what you would expect. Never heard of such a thing or knew it was even possible. Is there anyone with experience in network locks who can explain exactly what kind of network lock this? It may help explain what might have happened and how.

Hey... no one seems interested. I'm assuming no one will until someone else have the same issue. Though, I've been making some questions to some other "lock acquainted" people and most say it is kinda "blacklisted" lock "for sure". In such cases, the original carrier locks first; if you try another network carrier SIM, it will work for typically 3 to 5 more days and up to 8 (no more than that) then, that carrier will lock as well, and so on. Thing is, this phone IS NOT "blacklisted" (I've already made an inquiry for that in the global page) and there's about 17 days since original carrier network became locked. So... weirdness remains. On the other hand: How is that you're using "XDA free app"? I'm forced to use "Premium" because "Free" simply didn't work anymore on my devices. I like free version because it has more options and you can sign and stuff...

Really? I didn't even know there was Premium version. What's even the point of that? Lol. Whaddaya mean, the Free version didn't work anymore? Mine just keeps on ticking...but I only started using it after I had been signed up on the website and participating on XDA via the desktop browser for ages. Had you signed up on the website, or only on the app?
BW, do you have the apk of the free app? I can send it to you if you don't.

Well, signed both... "Premium" was once the paid app, as far as I know. I wasn't using "Free" app for a month or so; then when I required it again, it just didn't open. So I checked the store and they've turned "Free" into an earlier android versions app, thus it won't work for me anymore. Had to download "Premium" (now "Free") to keep going. If you can send the "Free" apk, I'll give it a try... Thanks!
Hello XDA!
Around 3 weeks ago, I updated my Nexus 5x from 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the latest Android version 7.1.1 Nougat. After one day, it suddenly crashed and my phone was stuck in a bootloop. Google knows about the problem and they said that this is a hardware related issue and that you can get your phone repaired/replaced by LG. I contacted LG, they replaced my whole mainboard and now I have a working Nexus 5x on Android 7.1.1.
Now to my problem:
Before all that I pre registered my phone for the "Super Mario Run" app in the play store and I've realised that I can't find it anymore in there. I tried to find the app on my phone by opening the Play Store link and now all I get is the "Your device isn't compatible with this version" error which hasn't been the case before! I even tried it with my girlfriend's Nexus 5x (also on 7.1.1) and for her everything works just fine!
A bit later that day I realized that this app isn't the only one which isn't compatible anymore. Until now it seems that I have this problem with every single one of Nintendo's apps and until now I don't know if any other apps are effected by this. The Play Store even shows me an ad about Super Mario Run and some other Nintendo app but when I tap on it, all I get is an empty list because none of this apps is compatible with my device.
As I mentioned above my Nexus 5x is currently running on Stock Android 7.1.1 and rooted.
Any kind of help is appreciated!
Similar issue
I have the same problem as you. I had also pre registered then I rooted my Nexus and then it doesn't show in my playstore. Playstore link says 'your device is not compatible..' I guess the problem with Android version. I had also upgraded from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2. So maybe they ain't releasing for nougat or maybe that is a later release.
When i try download Android Pay I have message "incompatible with you device" in Play market.
Have you rooted your phone?
I am waiting for an honor 8 pro to be delivered and I would be quite annoyed if Android Pay didn't work. Lack of NFC was one of the reasons I chose to phase out a 5x in favour of a new phone.
There is no working root for now. I tried to download Android pay, but it says to me the 8 Pro is not compatible.
Worrying.... is there anyone from Huawei in the forums who can clarify the situation? Google states that all non-rooted devices with Android 4.4+ are compatible with Android Pay. Even without NFC I could install it on my Honor 5x...
Android pay can be installed and it is working. Build DUK-L09C432B120. However Barclays Mobile Banking (UK) does not work and Huawei / Barclays already aware of it. But I won't wait just between my 14 days cooling off period and will send it back if won't be sorted out before.
Yep it's working for me as well. It can be installed and I have already tested it with a NatWest card.
No idea why the OP gets the error message when trying to install.
A few days ago Xfinity Mobile (or Samsung? I'm unsure) started pushing OTA update G965USQU7DTA5 (One UI 2 upgrade with Android 10).
I successfully updated mine SGS-9 but got stuck on wife's SGS-9 Probably, first attempt of download on this phone was interrupted (my wife went to store, and download was paused 'cause of no WiFi). But after that it's always stopped on 25% and saying "Couldn't download update: Unable to update the software. A network or server error occurred. Try later again". It's a bug in buggy Samsung software updater, I'm 100% positive, but how to fix that stuff without resetting the phone?
Phone is NOT rooted or unlocked; I googled for "offline update" instructions for stock, locked phones but can't find good, clear instructions.
Any suggestions, guys?
P.S. I've never done phone reset on SGS-9, how it works? Is it quick and safe enough? My wife's phone don't have sideloaded and/or pirated apps, everything by original, Google- & Samsung way.
Update: I resolved my issue by updating phone from PC, using Samsung's "Smart Switch" application - everything went smooth and easy.
P.S. Big thanks to this guide: https://thedroidguy.com/how-to-fix-...not-update-to-latest-software-version-1097987
Update 2: My question received no answers, even no attention but I still believe in people (generally)
So, after update to Android 10 on SGS9, my wife found what the new camera app is kinda downgrade: she doesn't likes new video mode full screen chooser (instead of "scroller") and some other small things. By the way, I clearly understood her: for example, on her SGS9 (updated via PC) video has, by default, bigger zoom than mine SGS9! It's kinda ridiculous but I understand, some parts of the software was written by Korean guys
My question is: could you provide some tips how to install stock camera app from the previous firmware (Android 9), without flashing back old firmware (I suspect what Sam-damn-sung and X****&nity will not support Android 9 anymore)?
Thank you!
P.S. I know how the google search works; I know even more - how xda-dev search works too but I can't find exact answer to my question, sorry!

I think it's more no one has xfinity. I was one of the few and first to have xfinity when I got my s8. xfinity is a weird setup compared to most phones. I had to ditch em when they charged me like 3 or 4 times in one month, it took me almost 4 months to get a refund.
With root you might be able to get the old camera working possibly. Or gcam I'm no developer so I wouldnt know the exacts. And I still run my xfinity s8 ???
